Drew and INTO University Partnerships Form Joint Venture to Enrich International Learning Experience

INTO New York at Drew University will build on university’s legacy of internationalization

Madison, NJ, March 17, 2014 – Drew University and INTO University Partnerships today announced a joint venture to support and enhance international education on campus and greatly expand learning opportunities for international and domestic students. The partnership, formed under the name INTO New York at Drew University, will support Drew’s strategic internationalization goals in several ways:

Grow and diversify the international student population on campus;
Establish international educational programs and support services that will expand all students’ social, global and professional engagement; and
Further build the university’s global reach and reputation.

INTO partners with leading universities in the United States, United Kingdom and Asia to advance each institution’s comprehensive internationalization efforts and expand their global reach and impact. The joint venture with Drew reflects INTO’s commitment to improve global access to quality higher education and to provide students with an increasing breadth of study options.

The partnership comes at a time when record numbers of international students are studying in the United States with more than 800,000 students enrolled in academic year 2012-2013, according to the Institute of International Education. Through INTO’s extensive global recruitment network across 75 countries, the partnership plans to seize this opportunity and grow Drew University’s international student population at an optimal rate. The first cohort of students at INTO New York at Drew University will enroll in academic year 2014-2015.

The INTO New York at Drew University model is unique in that it leverages Drew’s distinctive qualities as a supportive liberal arts institution, offering a small-school environment with a big-world experience less than an hour from midtown Manhattan. Drew’s promise, “We Deliver Full-Impact Learning to the World,” melds a challenging academic curriculum, a global learning culture and extensive New York City experiential opportunities, all of which enable a student’s greatest success.

“The INTO partnership is an exciting venture for the Drew community and helps us build on our longstanding international programs at home and abroad, including launching the first United Nations Semester in the country in 1962,” said Drew President Vivian A. Bull. “Inviting more international undergraduates to join the Drew community offers the rest of the student body the opportunity to learn with, and from, their global peers, giving them an advantage in a highly connected world.”

INTO New York at Drew University will offer international students a unique program in which they complete the first two years of undergraduate academic and English language coursework at Drew. Upon successful completion, students will then be eligible to complete the remaining two years of a degree program at Drew or they may choose to finish their degree at a number of well-known institutions in the New York metropolitan area.

An INTO partnership transforms a campus through broad engagement of the entire university community by creating opportunities for faculty and staff, enhancing the educational experience for domestic students and improving outcomes for international students. Drew University will retain control of all academic aspects of the partnership and its brand.

“Comprehensive internationalization cannot be a ‘one size fits all’ effort. One of the great advantages of the U.S. higher education system is that it is a rich tapestry of models and structures,” said John Sykes, Group Managing Director, INTO University Partnerships. “Smaller, private, well-established liberal arts institutions like Drew have much to offer international students, but may not have the resources to reach them. We are excited to introduce this unique study option to prospective international students while investing in Drew’s efforts to foster global perspectives through comprehensive internationalization.”

Drew University joins other successful INTO partnerships in North America, including Oregon State University, University of South Florida, Colorado State University, Marshall University and George Mason University. Since 2006, INTO has successfully launched partnerships with 19 universities around the world.

SAFE International Self Defense would like to announce the launch of their new blog, "SAFE International Self Defense Blog".

Toronto, ON, March 17, 2014 - (Straight Line PR)- SAFE International Self Defense would like to announce the launch of their new blog, "SAFE International Self Defense Blog". SAFE International is a leader in mobile personal protection/self defense instruction. They have taught more than 180,000 women since 1994. SAFE International specializes in women’s self defense parties, high school self defense, corporate self defense, as well as private self defense. What makes SAFE International so effective is that they don’t just teach the physical side of self defense but also the psychological and emotional sides.

What will you find on the self defense blog? SAFE International will be covering all aspects of women’s self defense. There will be articles on the most important topic, which is how to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations. There will be blogs on who an attacker chooses as their victim, and why they choose them. Have you ever wondered about how to handle specific self defense scenarios such as being attacked on an elevator? This will just be one of many self defense tips will be offered on. Other topics will include car safety, home safety, distraction techniques an attacker will use, as well as how being too polite can be dangerous, plus much, much more.

Also included in the self defense blog, will be intelligent verbal strategies to deal with potential violence. There is no one solution to deal with violence and this is very true in regards to verbally dealing with an attacker or aggressive person. Many blogs will deal with the unique safety concerns of particular professions such as health care workers, real estate agents, plus others who deal with the public. But most importantly we will offer tips and advice to the average person who may face violence.

And for many most importantly, the physical self defense lessons will be discussed on the Self Defense Blog. Many of the articles will explore the differences between karate/martial arts and real world violence. You will be given tips and YouTube videos that will explain and demonstrate some basic, but highly effective self defense concepts.

SAFE International is gaining world-wide recognition for their self defense philosophies and the SAFE International Self Defense Blog is a great way to explore these philosophies if you never get the chance to participate in one of their seminars.

Walt is determined to bring to justice the bootleggers, who purchase body parts from the disadvantaged and sell them to people with means, until a relative from Maggie’s past turns up needing a kidney to survive.
Once again, Walt discovers that very little in his world is black and white.

Christina Jones of Independence, Mo. writes, “Thrills, laughter, suspense and a new philosophical topic to ponder satisfyingly come together in Lady Justice and the Organ Traders, the 16th volume in the Robert Thornhill’s Lady Justice Mystery/Comedy Series.

Formerly a real estate agent, Walt is now a senior citizen who works with the Kansas City Police Department to fulfill his lifelong dream of helping Lady Justice rid the world of bad guys. Once again, Walt finds that the world is made of shades of gray rather than the black & white we wish it could be. Thornhill weaves an engaging storyline around the complex moral issues surrounding the growing black market trading of healthy organs (specifically kidney in this story). Grassroots Idea by Ecotech Institute Student Inspires Float in The Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade

About 150 students, staff and friends expected to participate in the parade to make it truly “green”

Denver, CO, March 13, 2014 - Chris Stevens, an Ecotech Institute student, wanted to help pick up recycling along The Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade route in order to keep this favorite green holiday truly as “green” as possible. He took his idea to parade organizers and from there it turned into a float in the parade that could gather recycling along the route. Students and staff at Ecotech Institute rallied around Chris and today they are making final preparations on the float, which will include a student made recycling bin to collect all recyclables collected during the parade, a truck outfitted with solar panels and a wind turbine.

“It has been remarkable watching my vision come to life,” said Chris. “I originally just wanted to help pick up trash and it’s turned into so much more. Building our Eco-Float has been an exciting adventure that brought several students together in great ways and I’m so proud of what we’ve put together. Our efforts will keep the parade route much cleaner.”

Ecotech Institute is the first and only school in the U.S. that is solely dedicated to sustainable energy, such as solar and wind. Chris is pursuing a degree in electrical engineering technology and will graduate this April. For him, this idea was simple, but sends a powerful message.

“We have to care about not only where our energy is coming from as we look ahead, but also how we’re taking care of our planet today. Small changes can make a difference and we’re excited to help divert trash from the landfill – giving it a second life,” said Chris.

To see images of the float’s progress you can keep up with the construction team by following Ecotech’s social media updates on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/EcotechInstitute and Twitter at @Ecotech_Inst.

Ecotech Institute, based in Aurora, Colo., currently offers eight associate’s degree programs:

* Facility Management Technology
* Energy Efficiency
* Solar Energy Technology
* Wind Energy Technology
* Renewable Energy Technology
* Electrical Energy Technology
* Power Utility Technician
* Business Administration – Sustainability.

DAD Technology. Optimizing Work in BPM

DAD (Dynamically Activated Divisions) Technology, recognized by the analyst firm Gartner Inc. as an innovative functionality, is used to create user-friendly Dynamic Forms

Woburn, MA, March 07, 2013 – AURA (www.auraportal.com), a global provider of AuraPortal. Business Process Management (BPM) software, has announced that the latest developments in DAD Technology that have been incorporated exclusively in AuraPortal BPM clearly differentiate it from other BPMs, creating a fluency in its use unheard of until now.

AuraPortal has been distinguished with great advantage over its competitors by Ovum in its Decision Matrix report and by other renowned analyst firms.

In short, the idea of DAD Technology is that anyone performing a task within a process will find that, on opening it, the information will appear in a timely fashion depending on the direction the task itself takes and the circumstances or options that are progressively chosen. This functionality enables maximum effectiveness and an extraordinary saving in execution time.

Manel Orovio, Technical Director at AuraPortal, comments:

"A common problem for those who work with BPM Suites is the fact that the forms often contain hundreds of fields to cover all of the possible scenarios that may occur throughout the task execution, although, depending on various circumstances, the performer of the task may only need to see or act on a few of them. If the user has to look at hundreds of fields that they are not going to use it can make their work cumbersome, and can also lead to multiple execution errors.

With DAD Technology, as the performer executes the task, the system makes the elements appear in the form automatically as and when needed. This greatly simplifies work.

The person responsible for designing the Task form should make it as user friendly as possible, so that on opening it, the user will find a form that contains all the data and documents necessary for them to carry out their work without having to leave the Task. Thus maximum effectiveness is achieved."

About AURA (www.auraportal.com)
AURA is a global BPM (Business Process Management) software provider delivering a solution that creates, without the need of IT programming, Business Process Workflow Execution Models. AuraPortal is 100% Web-based, and is complementary to existing ERP and CRM systems.

Denver, CO, March 07, 2014 - Ecotech Institute’s Clean Jobs Index, a tool to compare states’ use and development of clean and sustainable energy, found more than 3.5 million job postings in the clean energy sector last year. This is a 19 percent increase from 2012. The Clean Jobs Index classifies clean energy jobs based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics description, which says that a clean job is part of a business that benefits the environment or conserves natural resources.

Ecotech Institute, the only college entirely focused on renewable energy and sustainability training, created the Clean Jobs Index to provide objective job information about the renewable energy industry. Ecotech Institute’s Clean Jobs Index is an aggregation of statistics by state. Although it may indicate a greater possibility for employment in the clean economy sector, the Clean Jobs Index in no way indicates the presence or the promise of any specific job opportunities. ParaZapper realigns, updates zapper product line, and moves some websites

ParaZapper Hulda Clark Zapper and Rife Frequency Zapper products have been moved to huldaclarkparazapper.com while the book "Parasite Zapping and the Zapper" remains available from paradevices.com/

Pinson, AL, March 07, 2014 - Hulda Clark introduced the original zapper back in the early 1990's in her book, "Cure for all Diseases", and since then, it has grown in popularity and use all over the world. ParaZapper products from Para Systems, Inc. in Pinson, Al produces top of the line zappers and makes them available to the public at reduced prices.

ParaZapper's top of the line zapper, the ParaZapper MY is available at the new site as is the ParaZapper UZI-3 and the economical midrange ParaZapper CC2. The new site also offers the Eliminator line of Frequency Generators for those who wist to do serious frequency specific research.

ParaZapper MY model. This zapper which has a total of 80 frequencies in 20 modes selection with better accuracy is designed to perform better than its predecessors. Due to its crystal operation, the MY has very tight frequency tolerance at most frequencies. In addition to the increased mode selections, the new ParaZapper™ MY model has a superior zapping ability able to more effectively kill microbes due to multi frequency operation. The MY model has a distinct specific frequency feature that allows specific frequencies to run for sufficient time. Also, the use of technology introduced by Dr. Hulda Clark combined with Rife Frequencies provides assurance of increased coverage for many pathogenic microbes.

These models employ the constant current or current controlled output technology which is better, safer output that meets Dr. Clark's recommendations. Other cutting edge features found in the Hulda Clark ParaZapper that are not present in other devices in the market include:

a) Multiple modes of operation

b) Multiple frequencies

c) Automatic rest period: this model presents a selectable automatic 20 minute rest periods between cycles. Though not one of the Dr. Clark recommendations, this is technology gives an upper hand in zapping.

d) Good connection indicators: in this product, the status indicator serves as s good connection indicator with the changing colors without reducing that output.

e) Larger contacts: this provides a greater amount of electrical signal to produce greater effectiveness than would be achieved with smaller contacts.

f) Does not need different modules for different uses

"We introduced multiple frequency zappers because they can reach more organisms, and the MY model is the latest in the market with amazing capabilities in killing microbes" said CEO David Etheredge.

One of the most popular zappers is the Terminator style zappers and these are very popular for their convenience. According to David Etheredge, "These zappers are limited because of two features. First, these electrodes are only about the size of a penny, which is way too small, causing skin burns, even holes in the skin from usage. Additionally, these electrodes are right next to each other, essentially shorting out much of the signal." People who have tried both zappers, while they still like the convenience of the Terminator, prefer the effectiveness offered by the best ParaZapper products."

The best results come from using a 4 point contact system with one negative contact and 3 positive contacts. In some cases, using this configuration with paddles and pads can almost double effectiveness and satisfaction.

Para Systems Inc., the maker of the positive offset zapping products as specified by Dr. Clark such as the ParaZapper™ CC2, ParaZapper™ UZI-3, and the new ParaZapper™ MY model. For more information on pricing and delivery, visit Hulda Clark Zapper Co. at http://huldaclarkparazapper.com .

San Diego Down Syndrome Book Drive Event

San Diego Down Syndrome needs your used books, cd's and DVD's to help raise funds for our Spring Festival which will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st 2014.

Lakeside, CA, March 06, 2014 - San Diego Down Syndrome needs your used books, cd's and DVD's to help raise funds for our Spring Festival which will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st 2014.

Our grand event will be funded by your donations and will be a completely free event for all individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. Join West Jet, Costco and Mc Donald's in supporting this event.

21 March 2014 marks the 9th anniversary of World Down Syndrome Day and each year the voice of people with Down syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder. But there is still so much more we can do.

For WDSD 2014, SDDS is focusing on:

“Health and Wellbeing - Access and Equality for All”

All people with Down syndrome have the right to access healthcare when required on an equal basis with others without discrimination and with proper assessment of the specific health needs of the individual. We will be highlighting that:

Having Down syndrome does not make a person unhealthy.

Down syndrome is a genetic condition, not an illness.

People with Down syndrome may have health issues throughout their lives, just like everyone else and they should have access to healthcare on an equal basis with others.

There are specific known health issues which may affect people with Down syndrome, for which accurate, evidence based information is available.

Health professionals should be aware of these specific issues when treating a person with Down syndrome.

Health professionals should not discriminate against people with Down syndrome by:

refusing to treat them;

blaming health issues on Down syndrome in general, or;

considering only specific known health issues which may affect people with Down syndrome.

Whatever you plan to do, lets create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome on 21 March.

Outlook for Urgent Care Center M&A in 2014

2013 brought growth to the M&A aspect of urgent care centers. However, with new government regulations and provider shotages, what will 2014 bring to the industry?

Dallas, TX, March 04, 2014 - 2013 brought growth to the M&A aspect of urgent care centers. However, with new government regulations and provider shotages, what will 2014 bring to the industry

Owners of such centers shouldn't suffer from a shortage of potential buyers, but preparation for sale will be the key to success.

“We have seen urgent care garner more and more attention from the health systems and that will also grow in 2014,” said Blayne Rush, president of Ambulatory Alliances, a healthcare investment banking and urgent care center broker firm. “Health systems see that urgent care is an entry point for the patients. I have seen where urgent care refer a great deal of patients to primary care and the systems are fighting over that influence.”

The pattern that some experts expect to see in the coming year is that of smaller deals, as oppossed to those involving urgent care companies with more than three locations.

“From a financial buyer perspective, the challenge is a shortage of platforms of sufficient scale,” said attorney Geoffrey Cockrell, co-chair of the private equity group at law firm McGuireWoods. “…It may require piecing together a couple [platforms] to have sufficient scale to absorb the overhead that a financial sponsor will want to overlay.”

The main threats anticipated involve state-level government regulation and national healthcare provider shortages.

“The regulatory market may put pressure on fragmentation as well,” said Cockrell. “You’re seeing it in New York, you’re seeing it in other states as regulators try to wrestle with this evolving industry. …This will make it more challenging for the smaller urgent care companies.”

Considering all factors, however, 2014 looks to be the year that those looking to do so should sell. Success in this regard will be heavily dependent on the preparations taken by physician owners prior to selling.

“An astute buyer will not buy compliance risk,” said attorney Jon Henderson, Corporate and Transactional Practice chair at law firm Polsinelli PC. “The stakes are too high from a reputation standpoint. An astute seller will engage in an appropriate level of self-diligence to understand his compliance profile.”

The growth and expansion of the urgent care market is thriving as a result of more factors than just the M&A aspect. Furthermore, while 2014 looks promising for investors and owners, experts would warn against letting this prosperous time pass by.

“Anything can be overbuilt, but there’s still a sense that there’s still green space available for building those businesses,” McGuireWoods’ Cockrell said. “If not, we’ll start to see more consolidation and that may be an alternative as well.”

Travel Thru History, sets to Air all Florida Episodes throughout the State

The Daytime Emmy nominated Travel Thru History show is set to syndicate throughout the state of Florida this Summer.

Orlando, FL, March 03, 2014 - The Television Syndication Company, Inc. (TVS) is syndicating The Travel Thru History television show to markets throughout Florida this summer for a broadcast window beginning June 1st and ending August 31st.

The Daytime Emmy nominated series tells the history of destinations around the Sunshine State including Miami, the Space Coast, Key West, St. Augustine, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, plus a special highlighting several other Floridian roadside attractions including Weeki Wachee Springs.

“Response to the series has garnered a lot of interest among stations with several Florida markets already cleared. We're sure the Floridian audience will be thrilled to see historical destinations and attractions right in there backyard,” remarked Cassie Yde, President of TVS.

Two years ago, the show’s creators utilized kickstarter.com, an on-line funding site, to get the show up and running through donations from friends and family. It’s currently airing it’s second season on the MeTV network nationally, and secured a Daytime Emmy nomination for its first season - an unprecedented achievement for a show from such humble beginnings.

“All of our expectations have been exceeded,” says Joe Dorsey, one of the show’s creators. “We set out with only help from our friends and family and a credit card. The overwhelming positive reaction to the show, and the critical acclaim it achieved has made it all worthwhile.”

TVS plans to air the show on major networks throughout the state of Florida for the Summer. The increased exposure will help the show garner more attention from potential sponsors.

“Anytime I can help bring something unique to an audience, something with purpose that will leave a lasting impression or create impact, I'm excited to be a part of it. Travel Thru History is exactly this opportunity. It provides an equal balance of education and entertainment to the viewing audience while showcasing Florida travel destinations in a thoughtful way beyond palm trees and sand. Advertisers and sponsors have a unique opportunity to connect with their Florida customers throughout the state or in regional segments of specific destinations,” explained Jenn Greacen, Executive Director of the Clear Agency, the show’s marketing firm."

Co-creator of TTH John DeMaio explains, “I know Floridians will be excited to hear the history of their home towns. We went to so many interesting places around the state, and we’re excited to get their stories out to wider audience.”

Launch of New Publication Fills Void in Ambulatory M&A Industry

The official launch of The Ambulatory M&A Advisor means the introduction to the Ambulatory Care Center industry of an online information destination.

Dallas, TX, March 03, 2014 - How do you strengthen an industry? While there are undoubtedly multiple answers to this question, one key element must exist for any industry to thrive: community. For the ambulatory care market, this is where The Ambulatory M&A Advisor comes into play.

The publication, which is live at www.ambulatoryadvisor.com, is the brainchild of Blayne Rush, president and founder of Ambulatory Alliances, LLC. It is intended to establish an opportunity for communication among all those with an interest and professional position in the industry. These professionals are invited and encouraged to not only visit, but to contribute to this community.

“There are obviously other healthcare publications out there, but none that are hyper-focused on the Ambulatory M&A space that’s aim is on delivering thought leadership to the owners of urgent care centers, surgery centers, and the like,” Rush said.

The Ambulatory market consists of the following types of freestanding centers: ambulatory surgery centers, endoscopy centers, diagnostic/imaging centers, radiation oncology centers, freestanding emergency rooms and urgent care/immediate care centers. It is the owners, physicians, lawyers, and investors of and in such centers who require up-to-date news and research in order to be successful. The Ambulatory M&A Advisor provides this information.

“[Other publications] have a broad focus which I like to call an inch deep and a mile wide, or they are focused on transactions for the professional IB’ers, valuators, transaction lawyers, etc.,” Rush said. “We are creating a destination publication that is a mile deep and an inch wide, where those professionals can deliver useful content that will educate not only the professional deal makers, but also the physician owners, sellers and buyers in these niche spaces.”

All those with a stake in such outpatient facilities (lawyers, owners, physicians, etc.) now have a one-stop resource for the exchange of research, innovations, ideas and much more. Not only does the publication intend to position itself at the forefront of others like it, it will also serve as a hub for communication for those within and interested in the outpatient environment.

Ecotech Institute Students Graduate “Job Ready” With Industry Certifications

Programs allow new professionals to enter desired industries and hit the ground running

Denver, CO, February 26, 2014 – Students attending Ecotech Institute, the only college entirely focused on renewable energy and sustainability training, can now receive industry certification from three distinct national standards development and credential organizations. This provides Ecotech Institute graduates the best foundation possible to immediately make an impact in their field.

Ecotech Institute students have the opportunity to graduate with certifications from North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and Building Performance Institute (BPI).

These designations expand graduates’ career opportunities. For example, the BPI certification ensures that new professionals interested in careers in state-run energy efficiency and weatherization programs are qualified for these positions, since many of these programs require the BPI certification.

“We are proud of our graduates and the knowledge and complete skill sets they have when they leave Ecotech,” said Chris Gorrie, Academic Dean of Ecotech Institute. “When our graduates enter the workforce they can immediately make a difference in their career because of our hands-on green energy training labs and the sustainable energy-related courses our students go through.”

Ecotech Institute has nine renewable energy labs that students can take advantage of to get a hands-on education. This year, Ecotech Institute’s energy efficiency lab will also open, helping students prepare for sustainable energy industry certifications on-site.

The new energy efficiency lab is in addition to Ecotech Institute’s Wind Training Lab, which simulates operational and safety functions on large, commercial wind turbines. These labs further position Ecotech Institute as the premier destination for renewable energy education.

Ecotech Institute, based in Aurora, Colo., currently offers eight associate’s degree programs:

Facility Management Technology
Energy Efficiency
Solar Energy Technology
Wind Energy Technology
Renewable Energy Technology
Electrical Energy Technology
Power Utility Technician
Business Administration – Sustainability.

Christina Moss Naturals Tells How to Have Great Skin in 7 Easy Steps

Great Skin Begins With These 7 Steps - Christina Moss Naturals

Los Angeles, CA, February 21, 2014 - Christina Moss Naturals. Your face is the most conspicuous part of your skin. You may not think about it but on a daily basis your face tells the world if your skin is being cared for or neglected. Correct skin care that results in a healthier complexion is far easier and less costly than one might expect.

Detergents, artificial fragrances and other chemical based products should never be used on your face. If there is any chemical sensitivity these product will sabotage your skin care routine. And even normal skin can be left stripped of its natural oils and left unnecessarily dry which can lead to a wrinkled and prematurely aging complexion. It’s never too early to choose the right product. So the first thing to ensure is that you are using an organic facial wash or facial cleanser. We make one (our Organic Facial Wash) that is concentrated so it’s long-lasting and ounce for ounce is not only a fabulous product, it is safe and an economical choice.

The second thing is to wash your face properly. Follow these steps:

1. Wash your hands with hot soapy water and scrub your nails with a nail brush.

2. Remove eye make-up. Remove mascara with a dab of olive oil on a cotton pad. This also works for water-proof mascara. Do not pull at your lashes. The idea is to gently slide the mascara off. Then remove any eye make-up with a drop of olive oil on a fresh cotton pad. Avoid tugging and pulling at this delicate area. Be gentle with your skin.

3. Splash your face with warm water. Do not use hot water as it is stressful for your skin and could result in burst capillaries.

4. Squeeze a penny-sized amount of cleanser from the bottle directly onto a wet facial brush, a face cloth or your fingers, and begin massaging the cleanser into your skin in small circular motions. Continue this way across your forehead, face and neck. Remember to be gentle.

5. When done, rinse your face and neck thoroughly with warm water being careful to remove all residue, and finish by splashing your face with cool water to help close the pores.

6. Gently pat your skin dry with a clean towel.

7. Moisturize your face and neck.

Lap Steel Guitarist Michael Barry-Rec Releases New Album

Lap Steel Guitarist Michael Barry-Rec Releases New Album “Continuum” February 18 Featuring George Winston on First Single “Sanctum”

Los Angeles, CA, February 20, 2014 - For lap steel guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Michael Barry-Rec, his third full-length release, Continuum, produced a fresh new sound that emerged from his incredible experience at Montrose Recording Studio in Richmond, Virginia.

STREAM / SHARE / EMBED ON SOUNDCLOUD

All previous releases were drawn out over a relatively long period, while Continuum flowed organically for a surprisingly quick recording process. “Although the songs themselves came through and surfaced as life experience allowed, the studio time itself was quite focused (but) with breath! It was the environment and all involved that kept the creative doors open and the magic bouncing off the walls!” Michael recalls.

Continuum showcases Michael’s progression and limitless artistry for his love for the lap steel guitar. Seamlessly blending everything from rock, folk, Americana, and blues, with an ambient sensibility, listeners get a taste of a well-rounded album of intelligent variations. Precise melodic execution from his fine acoustic and lap steel delivery make Continuum a solid and infectious new release. Featuring special guest contributions from George Winston on lead single “Sanctum” and bassist JD Foster who has toured with Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, and Dwight Yoakam.

From intimate simplicity to soulful dynamics, this thirteen track, well-crafted, instrumental album exposes a passionate, mature artist setting his sights for the stars!
