Background on Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar:
Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar became a landmark steakhouse in 1959 and has been a peninsula favorite for over 55 years. Entering Will's is stepping back into a time when fine food and service were the rule, rather than the exception. An intimate courtyard patio offers seasonal outdoor dining. Will's also features an intriguing small saloon with a full bar that pours an honest drink and features a lighter menu, including such standards as salads, burgers, and other delectable items. Dinner from 4:30pm nightly. Indoor and outdoor seating available as well as a pet friendly patio.

About The Owners:
Carmel Valley’s iconic steakhouse Will’s Fargo is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Nick Elliott and Hunter Lowder, who also team up to run nearby Holman Ranch, a wedding and special event venue that also produces wine and olive oil. Lowder formerly served as manager of Rio Grill in Carmel, while Elliott is a culinary school graduate. At Will’s, Lowder manages the front of the house while Elliott runs the bar. The couple maintains Will’s Fargo’s reputation as an elite steakhouse and popular locals’ hangout, while also using the property as an off-site option for Holman Ranch guests.

The History of Will's Fargo:
The Will’s building was constructed in the late 1920’s to be a tea room and later served as a Road House located on the “milk run” between Monterey and Tassajara, eventually becoming a dinner house named The Carousel. Will Fay established Will’s Fargo Restaurant in 1959; the name simply a take-off on his first name which seemed appropriate for what he called the “dressed up saloon” interior. With the use of antiques and collectibles, Will merged the gracious aura of a Victorian parlor with a western “Fargo” way station. An evening at Will’s Fargo brings back a bygone era.

Background on Chef Jérôme Viel:
A classically trained French chef born in Brittany, Jérôme Viel began studying the culinary arts at the age of 15. Traveling throughout Europe to study each region’s specialties, Chef Viel worked with some of the world’s greatest chefs.

He left Europe in 1999 and landed in Carmel Valley, Calif., working at two prestigious resorts, Bernardus Lodge and Stonepine Estate. Viel fell in love with bucolic Carmel Valley, met his wife and started a family (the couple have two daughters). For the last 12 years Viel has worked as executive chef at Carmel Valley’s iconic Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar.

Chef Viel learned the basics of traditional French cuisine, working with Pierre Estival at Le Métropole in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and at L'Hotel Antares, at Meribel in the French Alps, a one-star Michelin restaurant. He learned Italian influences from Pierre Carrier at the Albert 1er, a two-star Michelin restaurant in Chamonix.

Chef Viel left the French Alps and ended up in another magical place, Corsica, at Hotel Cala Rossa in Porto Vecchio. He then spent two years in Switzerland working between Hotel Des Trois Rois in Basel and with Roland Pierroz, at Le Rosalp in Verbier, where he had the privilege of working alongside some of that country’s most prestigious chefs, including Philippe Rochat and Fredy Girardet.

Kwame Binea Shakedown Announce Second Single and Video, "Hang On" Set for June 16th

Harlem-based roots rock singer/songwriter Kwame Binea, who fronts the Kwame Binea Shakedown, has announced the worldwide digital release of their second single

New York, NY, June 15, 2015 - Harlem-based roots rock singer/songwriter Kwame Binea, who fronts the Kwame Binea Shakedown, has announced the worldwide digital release of their second single, "Hang On" for Tuesday, June 16, 2015 via CDbaby.com and all their major digital distribution partners including iTunes and Amazon.com.

"Hang On" is catchy, upbeat, funk/rock/soul dance song layered with a poignant, hopeful and uplifting universal message that encourages "little brothers to hang on."

It was co-written and produced by Kwame Binea and guitarist Justin Wilcox for Binea's indie imprint, Pelopos Entertainment Group. The song also features the rest of Shakedown band, drummer Medley Shabazz, guitarist Art Vanterpool, bassist Phil Bass, Daron Wright on keyboards, Kengo Yamada and Michael Quigley on saxophone, Brian Varneke on trumpet, and guest background vocalists Dietrice Bolden and Jindai Joseph.

The video meshes live performance footage with compelling images that accentuate the broader symbolism and inspiration behind the song. The video was edited by Kate Peterson.

"I really wanted to create an anthem-like track to encourage young brothers to keep their heads up and never stop believing in themselves," explains Binea. "These are tough times and a lot of our young people are a bit lost and aren't getting the level of support they need. So, just trying to give them some of the same kind of positive reinforcement and encouragement I received growing up," he added.

"Hang On" follows the group's debut single/video "Let Go" (released in April). The video was culled from a Kwame Binea Shakedown live performance at the Brooklyn Bowl earlier this year.

Binea grew up splitting time in West London (his birth place) and in his native origins, Ghana. He later moved to Cherry Hill, NJ as a teenager where he started to unearth his artistic aspirations as a burgeoning songwriter/singer/guitarist. While in college he teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Justin Wilcox as a duo, which became the nucleus that spawned the rock/funk collective Kwame Shakedown in Harlem, NY (2011). Over the past several years they have built a legion of loyal fans performing at most of the city's most noted music venues including Joe's Pub, Arlene Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall and Brooklyn Bowl, to name just a few.

The Kwame Binea Shakedown will also be releasing their self-titled debut EP July 17.

About the Performers
DON EDWARDS - The six time winner of the prestigious Wrangler Awards for Outstanding Traditional Music from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in OKC, as well as their Founders Award, sets Don Edwards apart from other western performers. The songster from Hico, Texas is a historian, author, musicologist, songwriter and a true American patriot. Bobby Weaver of the Cowboy Hall of Fame referred to Don Edwards as the “….the best purveyor of cowboy music in America today.” However, he remains a most humble man. Don is also one of the nicest persons you’ll ever meet. A real prince of a guy! The late, singing cowboy of the silver screen Rex Allen, in his opinion, said Don was: “The Best of the best.

SONS OF THE SAN JOAQUIN – The Hannah Boys are simply the best harmony trio to ever come along in western music. Starting out singing songs of the Sons of Pioneers, Joe and Jack added Joe’s son Lon and they formed the Sons of the San Joaquin over 25 years ago. The WMA Hall of Fame trio have won numerous awards including, among others, the Western Music Association’s (WMA) Traditional Group eight times; three Wrangler Awards from the Cowboy Hall of Fame and Jack has won the Songwriter of the Year WMA award six times. They are cutting back on their tours nowadays and sticking closer to home, so this is a rare opportunity to see them perform.

WADDIE MITCHELL – For a guy who spent the majority of his life as a hired man on horseback, Waddie Mitchell has been honored by many in art and culture organizations. Waddie Mitchell, Co-Founder of the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering, was named by People as the “Best Known Cowboy Poet.” He was commissioned by the 2002 Cultural Olympiad to compose a commemorative poem. Since then Waddie received the Cowboy Spirit Award by Arizona’s Festival of the West; Nevada’s Heritage Award; American Cowboy Culture Award; inducted into the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame; and an honorary Adjunct Professor from the University of Wyoming. Not bad for a cowboy who talks for a living.

R W HAMPTON – American Cowboy selected RW as one of the Top 50 Country and Western Singers of All Time. The genuine, sure nuff’ cowboy from New Mexico, has been awarded by the Academy of Western Artists (AWA) with the Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year (3 times), and Album of the Year. The Western Music Association (WMA) inducted him into their prestigious Hall of Fame, as well as presented awards for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Male Performer of the Year. RW has also won 3 Wrangler Awards from the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Dave Stamey once introduced RW at one of earlier shows as “the Voice” of western music; due to his unique baritone sound…it fits.

KATY MOFFATT – Nick Dalton of The London Express, noted: “If ever there was the perfect singer/songwriter, it is Katy Moffatt. Her voice is perhaps the most searingly beautiful thing you’ll ever here.” This Texan has a following around the world. Katy has shared the stage with the likes of Muddy Waters, Everly Brothers, Hoyt Axton and our own Tom Russell, and appeared in four movies. Known for her versatility in music and not selling out to the suits in Nashville to suit the masses, Katy recorded the highly acclaimed Cowboy Girl album in 2001, co-produced by David Wilkie (Cowboy Celtic) and Scott O’Malley. This lady puts more emotion into her music than anyone else in the music business today. We’re glad to welcome Katy to her first Monterey Cowboy Festival.

DAVE STAMEY – He’s one of the most sought out western performers today out on the sawdust trail. Cowboys and Indians called Dave “The Charley Russell of Western Music.” The 4 times WMA Entertainer of the Year, 5 times Male Performer of the Year and 5 times Songwriter of the Year is a remarkable singer/songwriter. True West in 2010 identified him as the “Best Living Western Solo Musician” and Western Horseman said his The Vaquero Song is “one of the greatest Western songs of all time.” How can someone disagree! Dave Stamey has a large following at the Monterey Cowboy Festival. There is a reason.

BELINDA GAIL – Known as “America’s Western Sweetheart”, Belinda keeps racking up the awards from the WMA. Last November, she received the WMA Album of the Year award for her highly acclaimed Granite Mountain CD. Belinda also has won their Female Performer of the Year award a remarkable 7 times!!! They may as well name the award after her. Belinda has won Duo of the Year twice with the late, wonder singer/songwriter Curly Musgrave and the AWA’s Female Vocalist of the Year 2 times as well. Belinda also is known for her wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace, which she performs in her gospel sets. Belinda also was selected by American Cowboy as one of the Top 50 Country and Western Singers of All Time. Way to go gal!!

BRUCE FORMAN & COW BOP – Led by the legendary jazz guitarist Bruce Forman, Cow Bop was inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame. The San Francisco Chronicle said: “It’s hot, jazzy and has a drawl.” The late Herb Jeffries, The Bronze Buckaroo, after seeing them perform, commented: “These guys cook! The most fun you can have with your spurs on. Pinto Pammy is a wonderful vocalist and a star in her own right. Bruce of the Bruce Forman Trio has recorded 18 albums, 4 of which were with Cow Bop. He is the resident instructor in Guitar at the prestigious Thornton School of Music at USC. Rich O’Brien, western music producer extraordinaire and popular studio guitarist said: “Bruce Forman is my hero.” That’s good enough for us.

SOURDOUGH SLIM – There is only one Sourdough Slim. He is truly the “Last of the Vaudeville Cowboys”. Relegated to the role of a “sidekick” he takes it in stride and masters the role. The accordion playing songster, who also plays harmonica, guitar, does rope tricks, dances a gig, and yodels, all at the time, well almost, is referred to as a “on-man extravaganza”. He’s performed at venues such as the Elko Cowboy Gathering, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Don Edwards says “He is a master showman and one of the finest musicians I know.” Welcome back to Old Monterey Slim.

JESSE SMITH - He has lived most of his life as the hired man on horseback. Jesse Smith, who grew up in Glennville, CA, called isolated cow camps home for many a year. He started composing poetry at an early age while working on the historic Tejon Ranch. He was invited to the first Elko Cowboy Gathering in 1985. Jesse knows the classics and recites them as well as anyone. He’s also written serious poetry such as High Sierras; however audiences love his sense of humor with poems such as the New Suit of Clothes or Jumper Cables. Jesse and the late Sunny Hancock has a book of their work – COWBOY POETRY Horse Tracks Through The Sage. Chris Isaacs, cowboy poet, calls Jesse “a natural comic and the kind of a guy that makes you laugh just to see that he is on the show.” We can all attest to that. Welcome back Jesse!

ADRIAN - The 24 year old “Buckaroo Girl”, with 3 albums of western music under her belt, returns to the Monterey Cowboy Festival. Truth be told, Adrian Brannan’s first cowboy/girl performance, was at the Open Mic session in Monterey, when she was only 14. Western Horseman identified her composition The Will James Days as one of the 13 Best Western Songs of All Time. Adrian has a powerful voice, infectious laugh, vivacious personality and positive attitude. Her folks raised her right! Bill Reynolds, Publisher of Ranch and Reata, once commented on Adrian: “The new, young artist is a buckaroo’s Taylor Swift.” We like her just as she is!!

JEFF GORE – This is a return visit to the Monterey Cowboy Festival for Texan Jeff Gore. He was recently profiled in an article by Jennifer Dennison in Western Horseman (Jan 2015), entitled A Cowboy’s Mission. Yes, Jeff Gore is an ordained minister, however he rides, ropes and doctors cattle as part of being a “cowboy missionary”. He’s also a popular speaker in public schools on the subjects of the Old West, Cattle Drives and making wise decisions. Jeff also had the role of “Mr. Fox” in Tommy Lee Jones The Good Old Boys TV movie (1995) and in a Maxwell Coffee commercial. He is a gifted songwriter and has a wonderful tenor voice. His album Old Glory contains the song by Sonny Throckmorton – Jesus Always Chose the Weakest Man, which has become Jeff’s personal life story.

PAT RICHARDSON – The Monterey Cowboy Festival just wouldn’t be the same without Pat Richardson reciting his irreverent but always humorous poetry. The former professional Rodeo Bronc and Bull rider….that explains it…..won the AWA’s Best Male Poet (2003), as well as another Will Rogers Award from the AWA for his book of poems Unhobbled. The book also contains some his drawings. Most people probably don’t know he was once the cartoonist for Rodeo Sports News. Baxter Black once said “Pat’s poems are always a treasure trove of cleverness gone awry.” Glad to have you back Pat…..however we’re watching you.

KAREN ROSS - The other part of the Jim Ross family, is his witty wife Karen. Karen is a cowboy poet aficionado and appreciates the classics such as English playwright and theater critic - Frank Desprez’s dramatic Lasca. It was first published in a London magazine in 1882 based upon Desprez’s adventures as a cowboy in Texas in the 1860s. Karen is most known for her amazing recitation of Rinderfella, a comical satire on the Cinderella story, previously recited by the late Alice Hancock, wife of the cowboy poet Sunny Hancock. The story is it was from a Hee Haw skit featuring Archie Campbell. It is worth the price of admission to hear Karen recite it. Priceless!

JIM ROSS – A longtime favorite cowboy poet of the Monterey Cowboy Festival is Jim Ross, from the Jamestown area of the Gold Country. The former working cowboy from the Mt. Shasta area recites the classic cowboy poems as well as own compositions. One of the best is his Hot Shot Wars. If you’ve worked the chutes before, you’ll have an appreciation what might just happen when cowboys play at work and the foreman is not around. Jim also sports one of the best mustaches among the cowboy poets. He has recited his poetry many times at the Elko Gathering.

New Research on Human Nature Urges Immediate Universal Affirmation of The Right to Be Creative

“Seven billion ‘locked treasure chests’ are a terrible waste the world can no longer afford, ignore, or condone.” Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature kick-starts the campaign to reverse the colossal loss and waste of human potential.

Blacksburg, VA, June 12, 2015 - A rare compendium and synthesis of creativity wit and wisdom brings humanity face-to-face with its innermost, but historically overlooked essence. Entitled Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature, the compendium uncovers “the life-force within every individual that is constantly pressing to be developed and expressed”; “the most valuable human quality”; “the greatest and final aim of human existence” – discoveries that are almost certain to fundamentally impact the way humanity perceives itself, raises children, educates the youth, manages institutions and organizations, governs society, and gives care.

In words that speak to readers personally, deeply, and directly, Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature demonstrates five vital and universal principles of human life:

First, the inherence of creativity in human nature and, therefore, its species-wide distribution.

Second, the naturalness of creativity: a quality, ability, and “right” that exists by virtue of natural law; a right inherent in the person as “a direct prerogative from the Infinite Will and Consciousness”; a right that is both universal and inalienable, and that therefore cannot be taken away or denied; a right that is not contingent upon tradition, belief, culture, government, or custom.

Third, the centrality of creativity in human life, i.e., its primacy among the forces that drive human behavior and shape people’s lives.

Fourth, actualization of one’s creative potential as the primary goal of life; “the healthiest and highest expression of human nature”; and “the optimal state of being.”

Fifth and finally, inability of most people to reach their creative potential as the root of the global epidemic of meaninglessness, and the resultant social and psychological problems that are ruining the lives and destinies of countless millions of people around the world, traumatizing families and national societies.

Analysis of the compendium of creativity wit and wisdom is brought to bear on three persistent psycho-social, psycho-spiritual issues of critical importance to emotional health and social responsibility:

* What it really means to be human.

* What human life is ultimately about.

* What gives it meaning and enduring significance.

The crux of Revealing the Truth about Human Nature and stated reasons for its writing are two and related: First, to return humanity to the proper understanding of its authentic, inherently creative nature – Homo Creativus. Second, to correct some of the flawed and obsolete self-perceptions that are no longer serving humans and society well – obsolete self-perceptions that, the author asserts, are the cause of most of the world’s difficulties and misery.

Contrary to the usual view, Revealing the Truth about Human Nature portrays genius and creativity as “what we essentially are as humans – qualities everyone possess – but substantially lost.” The primary aim of the book therefore, according to the author, is to kick-start a three-part global campaign to:

Reclaim humanity’s most precious characteristic – creativity.

Close the gap between innate creative capacity and its realization.

Formally recognize and protect mankind’s defining essence – The Right to Be Creative – in existing and future charters of humanity.

Pointedly, the author deplores: “Seven billion ‘locked treasure chests’ – seven billion untapped or barely tapped human potentialities – are a terrible waste the world can no longer afford, ignore, or condone.”

Published and publicly-accessible reviews describe Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature variously as:
“a truly phenomenal and path-breaking book”
“defines the path to creating a global positive future for generations to come”
“engaging and thought provoking”
“may well help readers to begin the important journey: of ‘Know Thyself’”
“a compelling read … timeless and useful … has a universal appeal … makes us ponder the purpose of our existence”
“throws light on our innermost nature and helps those who are seeking to reach their full potential and give the world their best”
“an excellent read … masterfully illustrates how imagination and creativity drive human evolution and how we can use these as tools to create a better future”
“outstanding book”
“one of the best books I have read!!!”

The E-Book version of Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature, ISBN 9781622875160, published by First Edition Design Publishing, is available online across e-book reading platforms.

Very Important Relationships, Inc. Announces Enhanced Product Search and Price Comparison Capabilities for its CashBack Shopping Malls

VIR’s new Product Search and Price Comparison feature now searches over 300 million products contained in the inventories of VIR’s 3,000+ mall merchants.

Reno, NV, June 02, 2015 - Very Important Relationships, Inc. (VIR), http://myvir.com, one of the nation’s premier developers of corporately branded Internet CashBack Rewards Shopping Malls today announced a greatly enhanced product search and price comparison tool now available in all of its CashBack Mall platforms. VIR’s new Product Search and Price Comparison feature now searches over 300 million products contained in the inventories of VIR’s 3,000+ mall merchants. It then aggregates the display showing which stores are offering the same products with a price and CashBack comparison for each store. An example of one of VIR’s CashBack shopping malls with this new enhanced Product Search and Price comparison capability is http://CashBackHeaven.com.

“Our enhanced Product Search and Price Comparison feature now makes VIR’s CashBack shopping malls one of the most convenient places on the Internet to shop.” says Jody Tallal, CEO of VIR. “For example, if you input “4k TV” in Google to do a search it will return 83,7000,000 results. These results include articles about 4k TVs, stores that sell them, product reviews about 4k TVs, 4 k technology explanations, chat rooms discussions about 4k TVs, etc. While this is all good information, VIR’s Product Search and Comparison feature is only focused on the inventories of our 3,000+ merchant’s stores that contain “4k TV” in its product description. This makes shopping results much more relevant for finding 4k TVs and comparing their prices for all of the main stores that sell them.”

This enhances Product Search and Price Comparison feature creates one of the easiest and quickies methods on the Internet to instantly find what you want to buy. It contains several filtering options to refine your search such as price, stores, categories, and brands.

VIR’s core service is its unique CashBack Shopping Mall which feature 3,000+ of the nation’s best known brand store; each offering CashBack on everything purchased. VIR, founded in 2006, is one of the nation’s premier developers of CashBack shopping malls and began its operations when the CashBack small industry was new.

“Today, VIR’s proprietary technology is unmatched in the CashBack Shopping Mall industry. Since its focus is on enhancing the customer experience through high-quality interactions, the end result is a winning combination.” states Tallal.

Holiday Retirement launches bedtime “story drive” to re-ignite cross-generational storytelling

Selected stories to be published in illustrated children’s book available this winter

Lake Oswego, OR, June 06, 2015 — Remember those tales your grandparent would tell you before bed that captured your imagination, taught you valuable life lessons, and built warm, everlasting memories? Holiday Retirement remembers and has launched a national “story drive” to collect those original tales, anecdotes, and fables that have been handed down from generation to generation.

The leading senior living provider invites every generation, from seniors to children, to share their stories at sharebedtimestories.com. A selection of the stories submitted will be published in an illustrated children’s book available this winter.

“We have the good fortune of hearing marvelous and imaginative stories from our residents each and every day as they share them with children, grandchildren, and members of our Holiday family,” said Kai Hsiao, president and CEO at Holiday Retirement. “We want to ensure these stories don’t get lost. That’s why we’re thrilled to host the sharebedtimestories.com initiative.”

Because digital media have become the predominant communications platform for Americans, less time is spent telling and reading stories. According to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average American reads only 19 minutes a day, and teenagers spend a meager 4.2 minutes a day reading. At the same time, a report from Nielsen shows that the average American adult spends 11 hours per day with digital media.

Recording stories and sharing them with younger generations is vital to preserving family legacy. Without capturing family stories, oral history can be lost in three generations, according to an expert from the National Archives.

Holiday Retirement is accepting story submissions until Friday, July 17, 2015. Individuals interested in submitting a story can find tips for gathering an original story from an older adult and turning it into a publishable tale at sharebedtimestories.com. Once on sale, all book proceeds will benefit the National Center for Families Learning, a charity dedicated to helping improve family literacy.

The children’s book produced from the submissions will include a selection of the stories and also serve as a tool to help children gather their own tales from different generations. A resource found at the close of the book will offer a how-to guide to help children encourage older friends and relatives to share their stories.

“We want to create opportunities for people of different generations to sit down and connect in a meaningful way,” said Jamison Gosselin, vice president of marketing, communications, and resident enrichment at Holiday Retirement. “This initiative not only captures stories, it creates an outcome – a book – that adults and seniors can share with the children in their lives for years to come.”

How to submit
Visit sharebedtimestories.com to submit a story. All story submissions must be no longer than 600 words. All stories must be original; no copyrighted material will be accepted. Adults may submit stories on behalf of children under age 13. Read the rules and regulations for the terms of the campaign. Individuals whose stories are selected will be notified at the close of the campaign in July 2015. For questions about the submission process, contact sharebedtimestories@gmail.com.

Landmark Study Urges Immediate and Universal Affirmation of “The Right to be Creative"

A body of knowledge no one thought or knew existed uncovers the authentic, inherently creative, but universally overlooked human essence – a discovery that will forever change the way humanity perceives itself, organizes society, and conducts affairs.

Blacksburg, Virginia, May 31, 2015 - An astonishing compendium and synthesis of creativity wit and wisdom brings humanity face-to-face with its innermost, but historically overlooked essence. In words that speak to the reader personally, deeply, and directly, Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature conclusively demonstrates:

The inherence of creativity in human nature and, therefore, its universal distribution.

The naturalness of creativity: a quality, ability, and “right” that exists by virtue of natural law, and that therefore is both universal and inalienable; a right inherent in the person as “a direct prerogative from the Infinite Will and Consciousness”; a right that is not contingent upon tradition, custom, belief, culture, or government.

The centrality of Creativity in human life, i.e., its primacy among the forces that drive human behavior and shape people’s lives.

Actualization of one’s creative potential as the primary goal of life; “the healthiest and highest expression of human nature”; and “the optimal state of being.”

Widespread blockage of people’s Creativity as the root of the global epidemic of meaninglessness, and the resultant social and psychological problems that are ruining the lives and destinies of countless millions of people around the world, traumatizing families and societies.

Analysis and interpretation of the insights that are brought together in Revealing the Truth about Human Nature resolves three persistent psycho-social, psycho-spiritual issues, with fundamental implications for the way humanity perceives itself, organizes society, and conducts affairs:

* What it really means to be human

* What a one’s life is all about

* What gives it meaning and enduring significance

The crux of Revealing the Truth about Human Nature and reasons for its writing are two and related: The first is to return humanity to the proper understanding of its authentic, quintessentially creative, nature. The second is to free mankind from obsolete self-perceptions that, clearly, are no longer serving it well – self-perceptions that are at the root of most social and psychological problems.

A global treasure, Revealing the Truth about Human Nature signals the beginning of a movement to reclaim humanity’s defining and most important quality – creativity; and necessarily, to formally recognize and protect that quality – The Right to Be Creative – in all existing and future charters of humanity.

The E-Book version of Creativity: Revealing the Truth about Human Nature, ISBN 9781622875160, published by First Edition Design Publishing, is available online across e-book reading platforms.

Reno, NV, May 28, 2015 - Very Important Relationships, Inc. (VIR), http://myvir.com, one of the nation’s premier developers of corporately branded Internet CashBack Rewards Shopping Malls today announced the launch of its new CashBack Button browser extension which helps members always get CashBack even when not shopping logged into and shopping from their mall account. “Our new CashBack Button changes everything as our members can now earn CashBack when visiting any of our 3,000+ merchant’s sites directly without going through the mall first.” says Jody Tallal, CEO of VIR. “This means once a member installs their extension; it will always let them know when CashBack is available whenever they do normal web searches on Google, Yahoo or Bing, as well as go to any of our merchant stores directly.”

The extension also lets a member see which stores in the mall are the most visited over the last 24 hours as well as the best Hot Deals sales offered by the mall’s merchants today. It also lets member see their CashBack totals available in their account.

VIR’s core service is its unique CashBack Shopping Mall which feature over 3,000 of the nation’s best know brand store, all offering CashBack on everything purchased. VIR, founded in 2006, is one of the nation’s premier developers of CashBack shopping malls and began its operations when the CashBack small industry was new.

“Today, VIR’s proprietary technology is unmatched in the CashBack Shopping Mall channel, and since its focus is on enhancing the customer experience through high-quality interactions, the end result is a winning combination.” adds Tallal. “VIR has research all of the major CashBack malls and other savings sites in the industry to determine what they are doing that that is working best and they are doing that is not. Previously, no one had figure out the magic combination that consumers want most out of the myriad of single focused savings sites out there. Therefore, VIR’s goal was to evaluate the best of the best of these sites and determine what their most popular elements were, and then combine those together to all inclusive platform.”

VIR’s new third generation malls (v3) are an ultimate shopper’s paradise where retailers from clothing to electronics to jewelry to travel, plus many more products and services, are all available together under one roof for the shopper’s convenience. SAMANA Moves to Le Souk San Francisco Located at 1465 Custer Avenue in San Francisco

A 'souk' is a North African word for a marketplace (usually open-air), equivalent to a Persian bazaar, flea market or commercial quarter in Middle Eastern and North African cities.

San Francisco, CA, May 25, 2015 -- A 'souk' is a North African word for a marketplace (usually open-air), equivalent to a Persian bazaar, flea market or commercial quarter in Middle Eastern and North African cities. Le Souk SF is filled with antiquities, folk art, ethnic and graphic arts, along with furniture, home decorative items, mostly, but not exclusively, from Asia and other ports of call. This, coupled with an extraordinary exotic outdoor garden resplendent with vertical gardens, trees, plants , outdoor sculptures and unusual planting vessels, creates a magical environment rarely found.

All located under one roof are several businesses including: Gil's Upholstery; Khatriya Armstrong Collection; La Follia; Living Green Planscape; Richard Gervais Collection, and the latest addition SAMANA.

SAMANA’s now sole owner Sandy Martinez reminds her customers of her relocation to a wonderful warehouse named Le Souk SF in what is now BECOMING known as the new Garden District in the Bay Area: located at 1465 Custer Street, SF. Her store features unconventional furnishings, decorative accessories, lighting, garden ITEMS, and gifts brought in from around the world. She features exclusively enhanced designed objects created by SAMANA artists.

SAMANA caters to the eclectic, the bohemian; and has an unconventional approach to interior design. It's about what's personal, what's meaningful, what”s fun, and what's provocative. It's about what feels good, looks great and, simply is "you and no one else."

What’s behind the name? SAMANA comes from Sanskrit , India’s mother language. The word has several meanings - one being that of Hindu wandering monks who emphasize and individualize “ unconventional” ways on their path to enlightenment.

Under this inspiration, we at SAMANA try to bring untraditional inspirations that may brighten up your home, office and favorite spaces.

About the owner of SAMANA - Sandy Martinez:
Sandy was born in Argentina, the end of the world in her opinion. She grew up with the travel bug and it was only a matter of time before she started exploring the rest of Latin America. With a knack to adapt easily to other cultures, she expanded her horizons pursuing adventures in other parts of the world. Purchasing beautiful things and “buying without guilt” as she puts it, came as a natural consequence….. SAMANA was born and ironically the chosen name for her store mirrors her “unconventional” life. Richard Gervais Collection
Richard Gervais began traveling and shopping in Southeast Asia in 1968 while vacation traveling there with a college friend from the Philippines. Intrigued and enamored by the interesting never-before-seen folk art, handicrafts and ethnic items abounding there, they decided to open an export/import business together. They immediately began shopping and exporting from the Philippines, and shortly after added Bali, Java, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Tibet, Nepal, and eventually India, Sri Lanka and Brazil as ports of call.

The first location was a boutique shop opened on the cable car line on California Street. Since then, locations have enlarged and changed to the current location in 'Le Souk San Francisco' on Custer Avenue. New shipments continue to arrive and the collection still comprises and interesting and unique array of new, vintage, antique, and even ancient art and artifacts that attract Richard's eye and aesthetic sensibilities. Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites partner with Monterey County wineries to offer unique wine-themed experience in the heart of Carmel

Hotel Announces New Package The Charms and Delights of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Carmel, CA, May 21, 2015 - Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites announced its new Charms and Delights of Carmel-by-the-Sea package. The charms and delights of Camel are not easily experienced in a single day. So why not take advantage of a special offer of two nights in the luxurious surroundings of Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites, Carmel’s only wine-themed hotel. Book two nights, Monday through Thursday, for only $20 more, and get a $50 gift certificate to Carmel’s popular seafood restaurant Flaherty's Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar or Andre's Bouchee, the chic French bistro with a California coastal flair. But take advantage of this special offer soon, it's only valid through June 15th, online only at vendangecarmel.com.

(This offer is only valid when booking through our website and while supplies last.)

Background on Vendange Carmel:
When Brian and Jonathan Lee sought inspiration around the transformation of their family’s Carmel inn a few years ago, they looked no further than Monterey County’s Wine Region.

In 2013 Wine Enthusiast magazine bestowed the county as the top wine destination in the world. In the article, writer Steve Heimoff hailed the region’s “beautiful scenery, upscale galleries, glamorous resorts and stellar local wines.”

Faced with a major renovation and re-imagination of the property the Lees once owned but sold seven years ago, the answer became obvious: Name the inn Vendange (French for “vintage”), capitalize on its supreme location, design everything around a wine theme and create two stunning, fully equipped barrel rooms” for traveling families or couples.

“After we sold the property it really declined, and passing by it was difficult for our family,” said Jonathan Lee. “We wanted to modernize it and make it beautiful again, but also we knew we wanted to make each suite on our property a reflection of Monterey County’s flourishing wine industry.”

The Lees had the idea to partner with local wineries, especially those with tasting rooms in Carmel (currently there are more than two dozen tasting rooms, wine bars and bottle shops in the village, and the Carmel Wine Walk is thriving).

The wine-centric idea was to have wineries “adopt” a room at Vendange, putting their personal stamp on the furniture and décor. Each suite now provides a romantic ambiance of luxuriousness and charm.

“It took some time to get our ideas across to local wineries (Twisted Roots came on board first), but once they completed their suite, and the wineries could visually see the ideas we were striving for, the rest took off from there.”
Following the lead of Twisted Roots were: Galante, J. Lohr, McIntyre, Dawn’s Dream, Joullian, Ventana, Manzoni, Tudor, Cima Collina, Holman Ranch and Blair.

The novel idea allows the wineries to reflect their own style and statement through the rooms, while Vendange allows the wineries to use the rooms for clients or wine club members to create valuable cross-promotion.

“For us it creates a cachet and makes it a unique experience,” Lee said.

The family also created the two adjoining “barrel rooms,” designed ideally for couples rooms to create a relaxed “hang-out” experience. Each room is more than 900 square feet, with separate bedrooms, radiant floor heating, private patios, personal entrances and parking spaces. One room comes equipped with a high-end kitchen, complete with granite countertops, Viking appliances and all the comforts of home.

Whether it’s a walk around the manicured gardens, or quiet conversation and complimentary wine and cheese tasting around the fire pit under a lighted pergola, guests at Vendange find themselves pampered in an intimate environment with expert, attentive service.

Nestled beneath the pine trees in a tranquil neighborhood, Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites is one of the few inns in Carmel to provide parking. Located just a short walk from Carmel’s legendary downtown, visitors can absorb a complete wine experience in and out of their suites.

Lee points out that “vendange tardive” means "late harvest" in French. The phrase refers to a style of dessert wine where the grapes are allowed to hang on the vine until they start to dehydrate, concentrating the sugars.

“It fits because we want guests to come here, rest and get sweeter for the next day,” he said.

New Tasting Room and Wine Brand Launch in Carmel Valley!

Jarman Tasting Room Opens June 2015

Carmel Valley, CA, May 20, 2015 — Terroir is the most important force in creating distinct wines. The French word speaks to a wine’s place of origin, its subtle nuances of traceable character, flavor, lineage and integrity.

An estate wine from Carmel Valley, Jarman’s terroir refers to a special place — and also to a special woman who inspired a family to bottle the essence of a mother’s spirit.

Jarman Fearing Lowder grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn., and lived up to being voted “best all around” in high school. She earned a nursing degree, worked as an R.N. and raised three daughters with her husband Thomas. An active volunteer, animal lover, athlete and enthusiastic traveler, Jarman wanted to spend her golden years making wine with her husband at Holman Ranch, an idyllic piece of property in Carmel Valley they purchased to realize that dream.

Tragically, Jarman died in March of 2011 at age 60 following a long battle with early onset Alzheimer's disease.

To honor her mother’s memory, Holman Ranch manager and eldest daughter Hunter Lowder has vowed to take the best hand-selected estate grapes and create two premium varietals — Jarman Chardonnay and Jarman Pinot Noir ($1 from each bottle sold will go to Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation). Founded in 1998 by Leonard A. and Ronald S. Lauder, the ADDF provides critical seed funding to leading scientists conducting breakthrough drug discovery and clinical research. By accelerating promising drug candidates through the drug discovery and development pipeline and spearheading innovative public-private partnerships, we increase the chance of finding an effective treatment, and a cure, for Alzheimer’s disease.

Through the tremendous support of our donors, the ADDF has invested more than $70 million to over 450 Alzheimer’s drug discovery programs and clinical trials in academic centers and biotechnology companies in 18 countries. https://www.alzdiscovery.org/about-addf

“We wanted to honor her, give back and increase awareness,” Hunter said.

“Everything we do here and the reason all this exists is because of her.”

The Jarman label will reflect quality, with only the best local grapes used during a artisanal, small-batch winemaking process. Jarman wine uses only 100 percent estate-grown, organic and certified-sustainable grapes. Aged in French oak barrels, Jarman’s vintages are held in limited supply, and not available anywhere outside the tasting room. The two varietals include:

• The 2013 Jarman Pinot Noir takes on nuances of warm blueberry pie, cloves and cinnamon that mingle in the nose with oak notes from 10 months in the barrel. The mouth-feel is plump and juicy with overtones of cassis and blackberries.

• The 2014 Jarman Chardonnay features floral notes reminiscent of walking by a parfumerie in France — subtle and pleasant with a hint of earthiness. When serving this wine lightly chilled, rich notes of under-ripe berries and raw honey will waltz across your palate.

To further honor their mother’s memory, the family will open a special tasting room in June in Carmel Valley Village(open noon to 5 p.m., Thurs.-Sun.; or by appointment) next to Will’s Fargo, the restaurant they purchased in 2014 . The tastings will feature full-fledged experiences, including tours and wine education, and each will include a food element that complements the wine.

The new Jarman tasting room will provide visitors with three unique experiences : Cru Tasting, Premier Cru Experience and the Grand Cru Experience.

To celebrate, Jarman will hold a public grand opening with Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce; Carmel Chamber of Commerce and Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, June 23, 5–7 p.m.

Playing in the dirt isn’t just for kids: Seniors reap the health benefits of gardening

Holiday Retirement residents across the country use their green thumbs to stay healthy

Lake Oswego, OR, May 17, 2015 – Seniors around the country are adding gardening to their list of daily activities thanks to the stress relief and health benefits it provides. And for Holiday Retirement residents, reaping the rewards of gardening is that much easier thanks to the leading senior living provider’s efforts to offer gardening opportunities at its communities.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), seniors who participate in 2.5 hours a week of moderate-intensity activities such as gardening can reduce their risk for a number of health issues, including obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Gardening can also help with stress relief, improve depression symptoms, and reduce social isolation.

“Our residents’ health is of utmost importance, which is why we are dedicated to helping seniors get moving,” said Jamison Gosselin, vice president of marketing, communications, and resident enrichment at Holiday Retirement. “As the weather turns warmer, gardening provides an easy, accessible way for seniors of all skill levels to enjoy a rewarding, relaxing physical activity.”

As seniors increasingly downsize and move to senior living communities, they can adjust their gardening styles to reap the benefits in a smaller environment. Holiday Retirement has launched a series of resources focused on helping seniors enjoy the rewards – both mental and physical – that gardening has to offer:

* An infographic that offers suggestions to help seniors garden in comfort

* A checklist that provides everything seniors need to know about starting a container garden

From roses to vegetables to herbs, here are five examples of blossoming gardens at Holiday Retirement communities across the country:

1. South Wind Heights residents in Jonesboro, Arkansas, all enjoy chipping in to maintain the senior living community’s curb appeal. Residents take time to plant, water, and weed flowerpots and flowerbeds on a regular basis, with one 97-year-old resident dedicating much of her time each day to gardening.

2. Residents at Mistywood in Roseville, California, are living up to the city’s name. A memorial rose garden was built eight years ago for residents to honor loved ones who have passed away. The community grows myriad roses, as well as perennials, annuals, and even herbs and vegetables in a raised flowerbed built by a local Boy Scout troop. Herbs and vegetables are used in the kitchen while roses are used in floral arrangements around the senior living community.

3. Residents at Ashley Park in Charleston, South Carolina, have embraced container gardening and now anxiously await tomatoes, radishes, bell peppers, squash, onions, and various herbs. Residents use the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor during the Adventure Travel Program, where the senior living community makes tasty meals from different regions around the world.

4. At Whispering Oaks in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, residents discovered a newfound hobby when one Boy Scout troop built raised gardening beds for the senior living community to earn his Eagle Scout ranking. Thanks to his act of kindness, tomatoes, radishes, onions, peppers, and flowers grow regularly and are shared throughout Whispering Oaks.

5. University Pines, an independent senior living community in Pensacola, Florida, welcomed spring with the planting of numerous flowering plants, ferns, and cascading greenery. The backyard of the senior living community has blossomed this year thanks to resident green thumbs, not to mention the flowerpots on the front patio getting a face-lift for summer with new flowers. The community also celebrated Earth Day in April by planting seedlings, baby tree cuttings, and other green plants to bring an earthy feel to the community and to residents.
