Project Grand Slam to Release their Unique Take on Jimi Hendrix’s Fire (Song and Video) on September 18th

The Band’s New Full Lengh Album to be Released on October 16th

Playing NYC’s Cutting Room on September 9th Join the #Groovemovement

Donating Proceeds from “NYC Groove” to Charities

Hollywood, CA, September 04, 2015 - Robert Miller’s Project Grand Slam is gearing up for a busy fall with the September 18th release of their next single featuring their unique take on Jimi Hendrix’s Fire. The song showcases Guest Vocalist Kat Robichaud from NBC’s The Voice, who lends her rock n’ roll and glam roots to the song and the related video. This cover of Fire is unlike any other. It’s a sexy, smoldering version that captures the full emotion of the Hendrix classic.

On October 16th PGS will release their new full length album that includes the singles New York City Groove and Fire as well as two tracks recorded “live” at the world famous Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. All of the songs on the album (except for Fire) were composed by Robert and reflect the band’s distinctive trademark sound and feel.

The band’s most recent single, released on July 10th, is Robert’s catchy, snazzy New York City Groove, also featuring Kat Robichaud on vocals. The song is “a love letter to my NYC home,” says Robert, leader/bassist/composer for PGS. In the month since its release, the Groove video has been viewed over 102,000 times on YouTube, and the instrumental version of the song is moving up the charts on jazz radio.

The Groove video (http://smarturl.it/NYCGroove) contains Kat and others doing their own “Groove move”, which in turn has spawned a “Groove Movement” of people dancing their own “move” to the song. PGS is inviting everyone to join the “Groove Movement” by creating their own individual “Groove Move” video and uploading the video to any of their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) using the hashtag #GrooveMovement.

On September 9th PGS will be performing at The Cutting Room in NYC. This comes on the heels of their highly regarded performance on August 5th at The Iridium in NYC.

The band has decided to donate 10% of the sales from New York City Groove to three New York City based art and culture non-profit organizations that benefit underprivileged and inner-city children. “I thought it was appropriate for us to align the success of New York City Groove with our support for several NYC-based arts non-profits that provide great programs and services for children in need,” said Robert, adding: “It’s our way of ‘playing it forward’.” http://www.projectgrandslam.com

Mystery Author Reveals Massive Government Conspiracy in his Latest Release

In Lady Justice and the Conspiracy, the 21st volume in his award-winning series, mystery author, Robert Thornhill, exposes a government conspiracy that affects every American.

Independence, MO, September 09, 2015 - Often truth is stranger than fiction, but in this case, mystery author, Robert Thornhill, uses fiction to expose a far reaching government conspiracy that affects every American

Are we being poisoned?
Those fluffy white trails crisscrossing the sky --- some say they are simply water vapor frozen into crystals. Others say they are deadly chemicals, some of which are used for military defense, and others used to control the weather and the world’s food supply.

Are the chemtrails really part of a clandestine government conspiracy? In Lady Justice and the Conspiracy, four people believe so, and claim they have proof, but each of their lives comes to a tragic and mysterious end before they can offer their proof to the world.

Thornhill, after exhausting research, introduces his readers to verifiable government programs including Indigo Skyfold, Project Cloverleaf, Geo-engineering and HAARP, the massive transmitter array located in Gakona, Alaska.

Christina Jones writes, “After Edward Snowden burst our complacent bubble that our government would never spy on us, just the “bad guys”, Americans have become suspicious of all activities. One recurring conspiracy involves the use of military planes to control weather, genetically modify our food supply, inoculate the citizenry without their knowledge and/or cause metabolic changes in the DNA structures by the use of chemicals, and geoengineering for the greater good. Robert Thornhill plunges his alter-ego Walt Williams into the middle of the fray and gives the reader references at the end of his tale so that they can decide for themselves what is fact and what is fiction in this saga of possible governmental conspiracy. Are we becoming paranoid without justification; afraid of all that rustles? Or should we be looking over our shoulders in order to keep ourselves safe? Is it too late to save ourselves? Do we need saving?”

Harold Mitzner writes, “I have followed Robert Thornhill's novels since the beginning.

This is by far the best one yet. He has addressed many timely and relevant issues over the course of his 20+ books, but this subject is one of the most intriguing. The premise is: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We live in a time when those concepts have become evident if we are aware. I like the way this book ended....it was the only way it really could. You will have to read it for yourselves to find out.”

Eric James writes, “Robert Thornhill has no fear when it comes to tackling enormous issues. He once again took on a very delicate and controversial subject, tackled it from all sides, exposed the inner workings of a conspiracy, and escaped cleanly out the other side. If this book doesn’t get you thinking about what is going on in our world, then you need to take off the blinders and look up.

“In Lady Justice and the Conspiracy, he takes on the biggest topic in all his books so far, yet still manages to present the facts, stay objective, and all the while weaving a thrilling and intriguing fictional story.”

Insurance King Helping Tennessee Drivers Drive Legal for Less

Insurance King has been helping people drive on the State Minimum for Minimal prices for over 15 years.

Nashville, TN, August 30, 2015 - Insurance King helping Tennessee drivers drive legal for less. Insurance King has been helping people drive on the State Minimum for Minimal prices for over 15 years. Tennessee has recently increased enforcement of car insurance for increasing the penalties for driving uninsured. Here are the bullet points from TN HB 606 (Tennessee house bill 606) AKA the James Lee Atwood Jr Law. This law triples the fine for driving uninsured, allows for uninsured vehicles to be towed or impounded, develops a system to verify insurance policies electronically in real time, and also makes it a Class A Misdemeanor with punishments up to 11 months and 29 days in jail and/or up to $2,500 in fines for knowingly providing false proof of insurance. This Financial Responsibility Law is about 15 pages and those are the bullet points that Insurance King thinks the public should know.

Insurance King suggests taking old insurance ID cards out of the vehicle and only keeping the current and most accurate insurance ID cards in the vehicle. Insurance King also suggests that if you know your policy is not active because of non-payment it would be better to tell an officer that the vehicle is uninsured rather than trying to pass off an insurance card that shows valid dates but is currently lapsed or cancelled. Antonio Galloni of The Wine Advocate has high praise for the wines and wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains: "There is no doubt in my mind the Santa Cruz Mountains is the greatest and most overlooked terroir in the United States. Period."

Few wine regions on earth can match the climates, soils and vertigo-inducing views of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation.

One of the top wineries in that region is the acclaimed Thomas Fogarty Winery and Vineyard, which has been named “Winery of the Year” and listed as one of the top 100 wineries in the world in 2014 by Wine & Spirits magazine. The Fogarty winery has been producing some of the most critically acclaimed estate wines in California since 1981.

Situated at 2,000 feet above sea level, the Thomas Fogarty Winery offers a rare confluence of great vineyard sites, sweeping panoramas of the San Francisco Bay area and some of the best wines in the world.

The Clement Palo Alto is pleased to be able to present two fascinating experiences for wine lovers at the extraordinary Thomas Fogarty Winery, located just directly west of Palo Alto and Stanford University in the picturesque Santa Cruz Mountains.

One package offers vineyard tours and a private tasting of Fogarty's current release wines and some choice library selections. The second offers a private moderated tasting of several of Fogarty's wines with the owner and winemakers in the winery's tasting salon.

Experience No. 1:
Guided Vineyards Tour & Tasting

This down-to-earth experience involves an intimate tour of Fogarty's eight micro-vineyards covering 25 acres of ridge top and steep southeast- and east-facing hillsides on the property.

These 35 to 40-year-old organically farmed vines produce the small, allocated quantities of Thomas Fogarty's award-winning single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. As you visit each of the eight vineyards you will learn about the history and organic farming practices of the winery, which dates back to 1978 when Stanford cardiovascular surgeon and world-renowned inventor, Thomas Fogarty, planted his first grapes and in 1981 established a commercial winery in the mountainous area.

Following the tour, you will convene in the proprietors' tasting salon for a moderated tasting of current releases and selections from the winery's library.

This tour takes about three hours, involves some light walking and climbing in and out of a military-style all-terrain vehicle. Participants are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and active attire. The tour is limited to eight people. $500 per person.

Additionally, and at extra cost, you can end the day at Palo Alto's renowned Zola restaurant, where Chef Owner Guillaume Bienaime and winemaker Tom Fogarty Jr. will prepare a menu of dishes paired with Thomas Fogarty wines.

Experience No. 2:
Private Tasting in Proprietors' Tasting Salon

Participants will enjoy a private tasting of Fogarty's allocated current release wines and some choice library selections in the Proprietors' Tasting Salon with either owner Tom Fogarty Jr., winemaker Nathan Kandler or cellarmaster Marshal White. The tasting will be moderated and the seven to 10 wines included will be chosen in advance based on your preferences and with your input.

This experience involves no walking, takes about 90 minutes, is limited to eight people and is $250 per person.

The Concierge can assist you in customizing your experience. The Clement team is also happy to arrange transportation of your choice for your convenience for an extra fee. The options ranging from a Town Car, Stretch Limo, Passenger Van or SUV or a Stretch SUV Limo.

New video explains the All-New ParaZapper™ MY-3 and its Features. Over 273 Accurate Frequencies in 35 Mode Selections

Para Systems Inc. recently unveiled a new member to its family of zappers, the ParaZapper™ MY-3 model. The new video highlights this zapper which has a total of over 273 frequencies in 35 mode selections with better accuracy.

Pinson, AL, August 16, 2015 - David Etheredge, President Para Systems Inc., described the new MY-3 model as the best zapper available, which delivers leading performance and quality, backed by Current Controlled (CC) technology.

A new customer produced ParaZapper™ MY-3 video explains that in addition to the increased mode selections, the new ParaZapper™ MY-3 model has a superior zapping ability i.e. able to kill microbes. The MY-3 model has a distinct specific frequency feature that allows specific frequencies to run for sufficient time for maximum effect.

"People today expect the best experience from their technology- they are counting on technology to kill parasites and microbes wherever they are," said David Etheredge. "The new ParaZapper™ MY-3 model gives customers the good experience they expect from the best zappers, with performance that allows them zap with more accurate consistency, when they want, in a model they will be proud to own."

The MY-3 model is designed with accurate frequencies utilizing many of Royal Raymond Rife's frequencies and technology that far exceeds the old Hulda Clark and Bob Beck zappers. The accurate frequencies make the micro-controller zappers such as this one to produce better results.

This model employs the constant current or current controlled output technology which is better, safer output that meets Dr. Clark's recommendations. Other cutting edge features found in the Hulda Clark zapper that are not present in other devices in the market include:

Good connection indicators: in this product, the status indicator serves as s good connection indicator with the changing colors without reducing that output.

Larger contacts: this provides a greater amount of electrical signal to produce greater effectiveness than would be achieved with smaller contacts.

"We introduced multiple frequency zappers because they can reach and destroy more organisms, and the MY-3 model is the latest in the market with amazing capabilities in killing microbes" said David.

One of the most popular zappers is the Terminator style zappers and these are very popular for their convenience. According to David Etheredge, "These zappers are limited because of two features. First, these electrodes are only about the size of a penny, which is way too small, causing skin burns, even holes in the skin from usage. Additionally, these electrodes are right next to each other, essentially shorting out much of the signal." People who have tried both zappers, while they still like the convenience of the Terminator, prefer the effectiveness offered by the best ParaZapper products."

The best results come from using a 4 point contact system with one negative contact and 3 positive contacts. In some cases, using this configuration with paddles and pads can almost double effectiveness and satisfaction.

Carmel Valley, California Winery Launches Two New Wines for Charity Benefitting Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation

Jarman Tasting Lounge and Patio Opens in Carmel Valley Wine Tasting and Special Picnic Packages Now Available

Carmel Valley, CA, August 08, 2015 — Carmel Valley's newest winery, Jarman Wines, will introduce two premium varietals to help benefit the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) and to honor the matriarch of the family whose name graces the wines created for her. In addition, the winery has opened a tasting room in Carmel Valley that offers three levels of wine tasting and three specially themed picnic packages.

To honor her late mother Jarman Fearing Lowder’s memory, Holman Ranch manager and eldest daughter Hunter Lowder took the best hand-selected estate grapes and created two premium varietals—Jarman Chardonnay and Jarman Pinot Noir—with $1 from each bottle sold going to the ADDF.

Jarman Lowder grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn., and lived up to being voted “best all around” in high school. She earned a nursing degree, worked as an R.N. and raised three daughters with her husband, Thomas. An active volunteer, animal lover, athlete and enthusiastic traveler, Jarman wanted to spend her golden years making wine with her husband at Holman Ranch, an idyllic piece of property in Carmel Valley, Ca. they purchased to realize that dream. Tragically, Lowder died in March 2011 at age 60 following a long battle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

Holman Ranch and Jarman Wines partnered with the ADDF to support research toward treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and to celebrate the life of Jarman Lowder. “We wanted to honor her, give back and increase awareness,” said her daughter Hunter. “Everything we do here and the reason all this exists is because of her.”

“We appreciate the generous support of Holman Ranch and the Lowder family,” says Dr. Howard Fillit, founding Executive Director and Chief Science Officer for the ADDF. “And we are proud that 100 percent of every dollar donated through this partnership will go directly to fund drug research for Alzheimer’s disease.” Dr. Fillit knew Jarman Lowder personally and was excited by the opportunity to honor her legacy in such a meaningful way.

About the ADDF
Founded in 1998 by co-chairmen Leonard A. and Ronald S. Lauder, the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation is dedicated to rapidly accelerating the discovery of drugs to prevent, treat and cure Alzheimer's disease. It follows a venture philanthropy model, funding promising research in academia and the biotech industry. And it’s the only such charity solely dedicated to funding the development of drugs for Alzheimer’s. Since its founding, the ADDF has awarded more than $70 million to fund over 450 Alzheimer’s drug discovery programs and clinical trials in 18 countries. By supporting innovative research projects around the globe, the ADDF increases the chance of finding a cure.

About Jarman Wines
Jarman’s terroir (a French word that speaks to a wine’s place of origin, its subtle nuances of traceable character, flavor, lineage and integrity) refers to a special place in Carmel Valley—and also to a special woman who inspired a family to bottle the essence of a mother’s spirit. The Jarman label will reflect quality, with only the best local grapes used during an artisanal, small-batch winemaking process. Jarman wine uses only 100 percent estate-grown, organic and certified-sustainable grapes. Aged in French oak barrels, Jarman’s vintages are held in limited supply, and not available anywhere outside their tasting room. The two varietals include:

• The 2013 Jarman Pinot Noir takes on nuances of warm blueberry pie, cloves and cinnamon that mingle in the nose with oak notes from 10 months in the barrel. The mouth-feel is plump and juicy with overtones of cassis and blackberries.

• The 2014 Jarman Chardonnay features floral notes reminiscent of walking by a parfumerie in France — subtle and pleasant with a hint of earthiness. When serving this wine lightly chilled, rich notes of underripe berries and raw honey will waltz across your palate.

To further honor their mother’s memory, the family has opened a special tasting room in Carmel Valley Village (open noon to 5 p.m., Thurs.-Sun.; or by appointment) next to Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar, the restaurant they purchased in 2014. The tastings will feature full-fledged experiences, including tours and wine education, and each will include a food element that complements the wine. The new Jarman tasting room will provide visitors with three unique experiences: Cru Tasting, Premier Cru Experience and the Grand Cru Experience.

Address: 16 W. Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley, CA

Test of Tyme, A Development and Construction Consulting Firm, To Hold Free Seminar with +Olive

Test of Tyme, A Development and Construction Consulting Firm, To Hold Free Seminar with +Olive, a sustainable lifestyle boutique in Carmel on Thursday, August 6, 2015: “Stand the Test of Tyme with The Next Generation of Furniture: From Concept to Construction-Cultivating Conscious Consumerism”

Pacific Grove, CA, August 04, 2015 - Founded in 2008, Test of Tyme is an international investment and development company that restores, builds, buys and sells estates in Carmel and Pebble Beach and beyond. It will hold a free seminar, “Stand the Test of Tyme with The Next Generation of Furniture: From Concept to Construction, Cultivating Conscious Consumerism” with a presentation by Don Whitaker of Test of Tyme and Ashley Yeates of +Olive, a sustainable lifestyle boutique, on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The seminar will be held at +Olive, located at 120 Crossroads Boulevard in the Crossroads Shopping Village in Carmel, CA. Refreshments and beverages will be served. Space is limited and RSVPs are mandatory by calling (831) 655-2008 or emailing tot@testoftyme.com.

The presenters, Don Whitaker and Ashley Yeates, will discuss the critical need to support local artisans and American manufacturing. In a recent California Report story on Transpacific Partnership, it showed that there has been a loss of over 432,517 California jobs. In their presentations, Don and Ashley will focus on style, sustainability, craftsmanship, awareness and glamorizing careful consumerism. There will also be live demonstrations of furniture-making by Don Whitaker.

About Manufacturing Job Loss in America:
The reduction of tariffs on foreign goods and/or elimination of import quotas results in the elimination of companies and/or industries whose products are undercut by increases in foreign imports. One of the key factors that determine whether a foreign-made good is cheaper than the domestic good is the cost of labor in the country of origin. Workers losing jobs to imports or plant relocations overseas — and the communities and regions reliant on economic sectors destroyed by such shifts–find their futures uncertain. Even the strongest proponents of “free trade” theory believe in trying to assist these workers and communities to adjust to their altered futures, if for no other reason than to take the edge off of the anger about job-losing trade policies.

About Ashley Yeates
A licensed attorney in Texas, Ashley Yeates left the legal profession to follow a passion for “making things beautiful.” In 2001, Ashley Yeates launched the first of her enterprises — AYI & Associates — a boutique interior design firm. Established in Dallas, Texas, she moved the boutique firm to Carmel, California in 2005 to lead a more organic lifestyle. The move intensified a love for nature and shifted her design style to focus on sustainability and wellness, ultimately resulting in +Olive. A graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, Ashley decided to put her entrepreneurial spirit to work in pursuing a life-long passion for design. Today, her successful endeavors include +Olive, +Olive HC and CUSP.

According to Yeates, “Two of my most memorable childhood realizations are that the world is a big yet reachable place and I can make it better. At school, I used to swing as high as possible on the West Texas playground, looking across the desert horizon, knowing I would go out into the world and make a difference. At home, I ran the pastures in my Wonder Woman outfit feeling capable of anything. After I opened the new AYI & Associates Design Studio inside +Olive, it only seemed appropriate to add a big office swing. Although I retired the super hero suit, I feel empowered when combining the beauty of nature with fabrics and fashion to create a lifestyle line capable of shifting the way we manufacture and consume to preserve and protect the planet.”

About +Olive- Sustainable Lifestyle Boutique

Watsonville Based Green Environment Landscape Does More Than Just Design Landscape and Plant Vegetation

One of one of the Few Green-Certified Landscapers in Central California that can virtually assure a savings of 40-50 percent on Water Consumption Using His Certified Green Landscaping Techniques

Watsonville, CA, August 03, 2015 - Francisco Cortes started his business with a passenger car and a shovel. Twenty-eight years later, he's the owner/operator of a thriving green-certified landscape contracting business with nine full-time employees, Green Environment Landscape, Inc.

But Watsonville-based Green Environment Landscape does more than just design landscapes and plant vegetation. Cortes' concept for the business is to incorporate the design and implementation of the entire outdoor landscape of a home or structure, from plants, lighting and waterscapes to patios, decks, stamped and stained concrete, irrigation, drainage and arbors. And do it while saving water and adhering to certified green landscaping techniques.

Green Environment Landscape is one of the few green-certified landscapers in Central California that can virtually assure a savings of 40-50 percent on water consumption. And to accomplish it without having to turn your green yard or garden into a parched desert landscape.

Cortes is able to accomplish this by using biosoils (which require less fertilizer and pesticides, thus reducing water use), innovative irrigation and drainage design, using more drought-resistant native plants, and incorporating various tried and true xeriscaping techniques such as zoning plants and mulching.

“People panic and they kill their plants. They don't know how to manage their landscaping, so they let it die,” said Cortes about the strict water-tightening regulations imposed by the state during this severe drought. “But we can do a lot of things to save water. We can save at least 40 percent, even more. We just have to be more efficient.”

After starting out doing strictly residential landscaping projects, the last several years Cortes and his company have been busy on the commercial end of the business. But Cortes wants to return to his roots, so to speak, get involved in more residential projects and strike a balance between residential and commercial.

Cortes, 56, was born in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, where tequila originated, but moved to the U.S. when he was 18, to work in the fields around Oxnard, in Southern California.

A few years later he saw an opportunity to get our of the fields and work for himself.

“I started with a shovel and my first project was a yard cleanup,” says Cortes, laughing at the thought. “I didn't even have a truck. All I had was a car!”

Thus was born Francisco Landscaping, which mostly focused on yard and garden cleanup, jobs that could be done by one person. Within two years he had his first employee and slightly bigger jobs came along, but the business struggled. Cortes, whose advertising consisted simply of handing out business cards, putting flyers on car windshields and advertising in the local shopper publication, knew he couldn't take on the truly big jobs that could boost his business.

Bigger projects meant more employees, more paperwork, more management and more complex designs and implementing them, something Cortes was not prepared for at this stage in his career.

“If I got a lot of business I wouldn't be able to manage it,” he says candidly. “So I decided to go to college — Cabrillo College (in Aptos, just south of Santa Cruz) — and saw that I had a lot to learn, so I took a lot of classes and attended a lot of seminars.”

But the hard work and long hours paid off. He was able to hire more employees, take on bigger projects and 10 years ago, expanded his offerings to include green landscaping, water-saving measures and what he calls “hardscapes,” the more rigid and permanent parts of a landscaping project.

“I like hardscaping, working on arbors, waterfalls, retaining walls, patios and working with lighting. It's a challenge,” says Cortes, who also changed the name to better reflect what his business offered. He sees landscaping and hardscaping going hand in hand in the ultimate design and success of a project.

After spending half of his life in the landscaping industry, Cortes' motto is simple, but highly effective: “Do the job right the first time. If the client still isn't satisfied, make it right.” Rarely has he had to redo a project.

“If I do a job, there's not going to be any callbacks,” Cortes says with a confidence built on 28 years of hard work and honesty. “If it's not right, no excuses, I'll take care of it. I will make sure the client is satisfied.”

There's nothing more important in business to Cortes than gaining the trust of his client and doing quality work.

“That's one reason I've been in business so long — trust. They have trust in me,” says the plain-spoken Cortes. “Everyone wants to be successful, but the most important thing in being successful is quality. If you always do quality work, you'll never go out of business.”

PlayTheBlues.com is dedicated to help you learn the blues. “I also want to give everyone the blues in common keys that blues bands usually perform. The website has all the instruments, in all of the keys: Bb, C, D, E, Eb, F, G, A,” said Droste.

The Play The Blues instrument list includes: Alto Saxophone, Bass Guitar, Clarinet, Drums Set, Flute,Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Keyboard Instruments, Oboe, Recorder, Soprano Saxophone, Violin, Viola, Cello, Tenor Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba and Vibes.

Each 99¢ recording also has 'Magic Notes’ at the website that are a place to start playing the blues.

Try repeating the notes, creating a complimentary or contrasted rhythm and start having fun. Each Blues song has a total of 12 choruses.

“Soloing is a very free, fun way to express your feelings and emotions. It is simply one of the best parts of playing an instrument. Play around an experiment. Play with the track, then on the second chorus, play whatever you want! Play sharp notes, flat notes, listen to what sounds good or bad.

Simply play around an experiment,” Droste Stated.

Everything comes out in blues music: joy, pain, struggle. Blues is affirmation with absolute elegance. It's about a man and a woman. So the pain and the struggle in the blues is that universal pain that comes from having your heart broken. Most blues songs are not about social statements ~Wynton Marsalis
