Billboard Charting Singer-Songwriter Margo Rey Releases Spanish Version of “This Holiday Night”

This Holiday Night EP and “ES Navidad” Available Now

Los Angeles, CA, November 16, 2014 – Seven-time Billboard charting singer/songwriter Margo Rey has re-released her Christmas EP, This Holiday Night including the original title track along with unforgettable classics, “Toy Land” and “Silent Night”. Born in Acapulco, Mexico, Rey puts a unique, Latin touch to this 2014 single of “This Holiday Night” – a Top 5 Holiday classic that has continued to dominate and have major chart success on AC radio. Following her album release of Habit and successfully battling breast cancer for a second time in 2013, Margo never stopped pursuing her music. Margo Rey recently became the National Ambassador for non-profit organization Brides Against Breast Cancer providing her top 20 Billboard charting song, “Let The Rain”, co-written by legendary John Oates as their theme song.

The Indie Music Digest says, “Her musical/vocal style is cut from the cloth of Celine Dion, Bonnie Raitt and Shania Twain.” – but I will add she can go toe to toe with any of them vocally.

Working in the music business since she was only eleven years old, Margo continues to provide an array of her signature rich vocals with smooth tunes and funky beats with every release.

Background on Netswitch:
When a computer virus infected the network at Crouse and Associates in San Francisco, the insurance services company ground to a halt during a weeklong outage — costing a significant amount of time and money to resolve. The company does not have a large IT staff or a chief information security officer, it can’t afford to employ security experts and it doesn’t have the time or expertise to wade through the complicated Internet security landscape filled with intimidating terminology like “botnets,” “kill-chains,” “application firewalls” and “advanced persistent threats.”

So the busy company left it all up to global technology solutions provider Netswitch and its innovative MADROC® Integrated Security Platform that maximizes network security for more than 2,500 global businesses, large and small. MADROC® provides complete intrusion detection and prevention along with event management and immediate alerting and remediation — complete peace of mind within a monthly subscription plan.

The future is very clear: Cyber-crime is growing rapidly and as security gets better, the criminals get smarter. To respond to this real problem, Netswitch has revolutionized the way IT security is delivered — controlling and monitoring a heterogeneous mix of IT technology from top to bottom at every touch point; a true Defense in Depth security strategy. A MADROC® subscription includes all engineering, configuration, tuning, licenses and maintenance, along with a dedicated Security Operations Control Center providing support around the clock, with 15 minute response and immediate remediation.

“Netswitch is applying technology to important security and social issues that I care deeply about,” said Ken Chrisman, Board Member of Netswitch. “This is an important opportunity to use technology to protect personal and sensitive information. I believe MADROC® is poised to revolutionize the personal information security space with enhanced security protection through advanced behavioral analytics while leveraging the cloud to manage the massive data being generated.”

SAFE International™ Launches Self Defense For Real Estate Agents in Houston, Texas

The owners of SAFE International™ have announced they are launching a self defense program which is tailored specifically to the needs of real estate agents.

Houston, TX, November 13, 2014 - The owners of SAFE International™ have announced they are launching a self defense program which is tailored specifically to the needs of real estate agents. The real estate profession carries with it many potential safety risks, from meeting new prospective clients to conducting open houses and showings.

SAFE International™, which has been in the forefront since 1994 empowering people to save their own lives through the use of self-defense concepts, believes its current focus on empowering people to protecting themselves is needed now more than ever with recent violent events in the real estate profession.

“Unfortunately, we live in an increasingly violent society, and we, here at SAFE International™, want to not only share our knowledge and experience with others, but while in the process of sharing we are also empowering people throughout Houston, Texas, and globally to defend themselves,” said Christopher Roberts, Managing Director of SAFE International™.

Even though their mission at SAFE International™ is to teach real self-defense skills to as many women, children, and men, from 12 years of age to 82 years of age, SAFE International™ does offer corporate self defense courses to those in working environments that are considered higher risk.

Some of the topics that are addressed during a 2 or 4 hour Houston Real Estate Safety seminar are distraction techniques used on real estate agents, car safety, safety in the home, dangers of letting income rule over intuition, how attackers choose their victims, importance of body language, the good and bad of cell phones, plus much more!

At SAFE International™, they are not offering a martial arts program. Rather, they are offering what they consider to be “a practical and realistic approach to personal safety.”

“What sets our approach to self-defense training apart from all other programs is how we present our courses with real-life simulated scenarios, with hands-on techniques and with humor, yes… humor,” added Roberts, who believes that while the subject matter is a very serious one, SAFE International™ knows that learning in a safe, fun, and enthusiastic environment is the best way to retain what is being presented.

About Wharf Walks
For thousands of years people have made their living fishing the Monterey Bay, beginning with the Rumsien Ohlone, the Native People of the Monterey area. From abalone to rockfish, everything was fished and utilized and the Monterey Bay was a multi-cultural stew, made up of whalers from the Azores, squid fishermen from China, salmon fishermen and abalone divers from Japan, and Sicilians fishing sardines in the "dark of the moon." This entertaining tour of Old Fisherman's Wharf and the waterfront will take us back in time to explore the history of the Monterey Wharf, early history of the Monterey waterfront, The Rumsien/Ohlone People--Monterey's first fishermen, the abalone industry, whaling the bay and of course, the legendary sardine industry. Discover some of the people and cultures of Monterey's colorful past and hear fascinating stories about Old Fisherman's Wharf and those who worked and walked there. Learn more about the sardine and squid industry, too.

About Tim Thomas
Tim Thomas, fourth-generation native of the Monterey area, is a popular speaker and lively tour guide. For 16 years, he was historian and curator for the Monterey Maritime & History Museum and has worked with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, California State Parks and the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. He is author of "The Abalone King of Monterey: 'Pop' Ernest Doelter," "The Japanese on the Monterey Peninsula" and co-author of "Monterey's Waterfront."

Singer-Songwriter Joseph Eid set to release Warm and Heartfelt version of “Blue Christmas” with New Video and Single November 4

New Video Release of The Classic Christmas Song Coincides with Guitarist/Vocalist’s Latest Single, ‘Something Real’, from Debut Album,‘Human’.

Los Angeles, CA, November 05, 2014 - A special Christmas combo from Joseph Eid featuring a cover version of the famous Elvis Presley Christmas hit, “Blue Christmas”, and Eid’s recent new video and single, “Something Real”, is going for adds on radio and set for this season's holiday promotions starting November 10th. Americana-Folk Singer/Songwriter Joseph Eid released his debut full studio album Human in November 2013 and contains the first single, ‘Ready Now.” Eid has been garnering considerable buzz with his music and recently named as one of the 100 Hottest Live Unsigned Artists of 2012 and 2013 by Music Connection Magazine.

Even though, as a legendary and well known Christmas song, “Blue Christmas” has been covered by many outstanding musicians, Eid’s emotional and heartfelt singing style and his refreshing and delicate finger picking guitar sound give a brand new translation to this Christmas hit. As a folk singer/songwriter, Eid knows how to take the best advantage of the pure and clear acoustic sound of a guitar to express his inner world and passion. This version of “Blue Christmas” combined this feature with his emotional and soft male vocal, and the gentle piano fill-ins are like the red cherry on a sundae, making the whole song feels like a warm breeze in the Holiday season. Eid’s release includes not only the sound recording of this song but also a new music video, which will provide new fans and holiday music lovers a musical classic remake as well as a visual into Eid’s world.

“Human,” has been a big breakthrough with professing his craft as a professional musician. Sound of Confusion commented, “Human is a real journey with some touches of magic, all delivered with a charm and craftsmanship that rewards with each play." The album seamlessly blends sharp, melodic pop lyricism with traditional folk sensibilities evoking folk troubadours both past and present. It overall has a peaceful and soothing feeling, while every song is a strong and passionate self-expression from the artist. The delicate and emotional guitar work and intricate but relatable lyrics has become Eid’s trademark.

The second song from Eid being serviced to radio and media/video outlets is his latest single “Something Real” from his debut album “Human”. Eid recently released a music video of “Something Real,” which is based on a personal experience that also happens to be universal with communication via technology and social media. A visually simple yet emotionally complex music video, “Something Real,” is meant as a commentary on our constant need to be plugged in and how this has changed the way we communicate as well as taken away the value and the weight of words and human connection. This idea is demonstrated in the video as Eid sings to and tries to connect with lifeless, robotic people. The twist at the end of the video illustrates that no one is immune to the digital disease – including Eid.

About Holman Ranch Vineyard and Winery:
Located at the north eastern tip of the Carmel Valley Appellation, the family-owned Holman Ranch resides approximately 12 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. Immersed in history and romance, the ranch has not only proven to be an excellent growing location for our vineyards but also for the Tuscan varietal olive trees which have flourished under the temperate climate. Holman Ranch estate-grown wine varietals are planted on approximately 19 acres of undulating terrain. The wines produced are unfined and crafted to deliver the true varietal of the grape from harvest to bottle. The climate and terroir of the appellation has played a critical part in the success of their wines. The warmth of the inland valley coupled with the cooling marine layer has proven to be an ideal microclimate for the production of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The vineyards' Burgundy Clones have thrived from the perfect blend of ideal climate, southern exposure and thin rocky soils.

The estate wines of Holman Ranch include: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir. Carefully hand-harvested, cold pressed and bottled, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced from the fruits of our trees has a delightfully distinctive flavor.

Holman Ranch: Where the Past is Always Present. Tucked away in the rolling hills of Carmel Valley, historic Holman Ranch provides a unique and memorable setting for weddings, special events, family gatherings, corporate retreats, and team-building events. With its charming gardens, stunning mountain views and serenity, this private estate affords old-world charm while providing modern day conveniences. Most recently, they have worked on a 28-room mansion near the Lone Cypress Tree. Their work, simply stated, is created to stand the Test of Tyme!

One of their specialties is in the replication and creation of Old World-inspired finishes (1680’s – 1740’s European style), as well as the creation of original pieces designed for a specific home or space. They also restore paintings and other works of art.

Since the establishment of Test of Tyme in 2008, Scott Coulter and Don Whitaker’s artistic work has been featured in the prestigious Perspectives on Design California, a publication on creative ideas shared by leading design professionals. Test of Tyme consists of artisans whose passions lie in the transformation of a home into an embodiment of three-dimensional art. According to Scott Coulter, “We are a community of craftsman and artisans that transform dwellings into habitable works of art. From the hand laid tile individually treated to match flawlessly with one another to the revival of a damaged painting thought to be untreatable. Rustic furnishes, antique revitalization, old-world finishes, varnishes, and custom painting.”

Test of Tyme can transform every aspect of the average home into a marvelous homage to the old-world escapes captured off the pages of a European novella. The craftsmanship and artistic vision of every member of this team poured into the very foundation of each of their passionate projects. But the artistic skill of Test of Tyme extends beyond the palette of the metamorphosis. Their skills including restoring other art such as damaged sculptures, paintings, or manipulating unique pieces of art to fit with the motif of your home. Rejuvenating and recovering the vibrancy of art that was believed to be beyond saving, or modifying other pieces to synchronize fluidly to ambience of your living areas.

SAFE International™ Launches Self Defense For Real Estate Agents in Milwaukee, WI USA

The owners of SAFE International™ have announced they are launching a self defense program which is tailored specifically to the needs of real estate agents. The real estate profession carries with it many potential safety risks, from meeting new prospective clients to conducting open houses and showings.

Lisbon, WI, November 02, 2014 - SAFE International™, which has been in the forefront since 1994 empowering people to save their own lives through the use of self-defense concepts, believes its current focus on empowering people to protecting themselves is needed now more than ever with recent violent events in the real estate profession.

“Unfortunately, we live in an increasingly violent society, and we, here at SAFE International™, want to not only share our knowledge and experience with others, but while in the process of sharing we are also empowering people throughout Canada, the United States, and globally to defend themselves,” said Christopher Roberts, Managing Director of SAFE International™.

Even though their mission at SAFE International™ is to teach real self-defense skills to as many women, children, and men, from 12 years of age to 82 years of age, SAFE International™ does offer corporate self defense courses to those in working environments that are considered higher risk.

Just some of the topics that are addressed during a 2 or 4 hour Real Estate Safety seminar are distraction techniques used on real estate agents, car safety, safety in the home, dangers of letting income rule over intuition, how attackers choose their victims, importance of body language, the good and bad of cell phones, plus much more!

At SAFE International™, they are not offering a martial arts program. Rather, they are offering what they consider to be “a practical and realistic approach to personal safety.”

“What sets our approach to self-defense training apart from all other programs is how we present our courses with real-life simulated scenarios, with hands-on techniques and with humour, yes… humour,” added Roberts, who believes that while the subject matter is a very serious one, SAFE International™ knows that learning in a safe, fun, and enthusiastic environment is the best way to retain what is being presented.

A distinctive program designed to give clients an efficient and comprehensive medical evaluation in one of the most coveted resort and golf destinations in the country, The Monterey Program for Executive Health approaches preventative medical care with patients’ time and comfort in mind.

The Monterey Program is unlike any other executive health program, as it offers more than just a superior medical evaluation—it offers an invaluable wellness experience including concierge service.

From the moment a client arrives at the Monterey Regional Airport, their personal concierge provides transportation to one of our outstanding hospitality partners. On the day of their executive physical, the client’s personal concierge escorts them to the hospital and remains their guide throughout their day of wellness.

Not only does the friendly team on concierge and the Monterey Program manage all aspects of the executive evaluation, they are eager to make clients’ retreats memorable by helping them discover the splendor of the Monterey Bay Area. The elite physicians at The Monterey Program spend a full day with the patient to complete comprehensive screening, imaging and other advanced diagnostics—all in a sanctuary setting. In addition to undergoing the most advanced diagnostics in the medical industry, the client is given a comprehensive risk-factor assessment that analyzes family and patient medical histories and current lifestyle habits.

Experienced, licensed professionals evaluate the status of patients’ nutrition and fitness levels and work with the physicians to create tailored lifestyle suggestions that integrate seamlessly into their often busy daily routines. The client and doctor will then work together to develop a personalized wellness plan that includes a discussion of risk factors and illness prevention.

When the evaluation is complete, the client receives an extensive, customized medical report with a health profile, results, interpretations and recommendations for follow-up care. This detailed report of the patient’s evaluation is conveniently stored as a digital file on a small flash drive.

As an additional service, the Monterey Program offers corporate packages for businesses to provide to their top executive officers. The program can turn essential preventative care into a productive and relaxing corporate retreat.

The Monterey Program is located on the campus of top-rated Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP), which is nestled in the lush Del Monte Forest. MAX Agency Press Release – October 29, 2014

Featured in this week’s press release is MAX Agency Toronto Actor and Talent Frank Vaz.

Toronto, ON, November 01, 2014 - Featured in this week’s press release is MAX Agency Toronto Actor and Talent Frank Vaz. I asked Frank to tell us about himself and discovered some very interesting things about this Military Man turned Model/Actor.

“I was in the Canadian Military for twenty-two years. I’ve also done a lot of community and technical work, technical meaning engineering work that has helped the community and I won the Governor General’s Award for that. So that’s on the career side. Personally, I’ve done a lot of traveling. I studied Engineering in Alberta and through the Military in addition to in-house training and courses that deal specifically with military tactics. We go through a bunch of different technical courses including Physicals and Marksmen tests to ensure we are maintaining an excellent physical standard. My twenty-two years with the military included twelve years in the United Nations and the remainder was done with Special Forces and Elite Airborne Engineers. Between 1990 and 1995 I was a part of the Prime Minister’s security detail, specifically Jean Chretien, Brian Mulroney and Kim Campbell’s staff team and I accompanied Jean Chretien to Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.”

It is safe to say becoming an actor and a model is something completely new for Frank. I asked Frank how he decided to join MAX Agency.

“I was scouted at an event. We were chit chatting with the scout and she asked me if I’ve ever tried modeling? She said, ‘I work for MAX Agency and we’re looking for middle aged men from different ethnic categories. Would that be something you’d like to try?’ A couple of weeks later I got a call, arranged to get my portfolio done and became a part of MAX. It’s been great and I certainly don’t regret it. I know my success will be due to my agent.”

Frank is very optimistic about his career in the entertainment industry and it is something he plans to do for the rest of his life. Frank went on to tell us about his last project,

“Project drugstore was a print and commercial campaign for Shoppers Drug Mart. The print component was exciting. They had to take several shots and we did many wardrobe changes to get different looks. It was in the Harbourfront area of Toronto. The staff, stylists, production and photography team were great. It was relaxed and I didn’t feel like I was in a print shoot. I got to wear different glasses and ties and I got to smile a lot. There was good chemistry on the set and the overall project turned out really nice.

The commercial component required a lot of takes and it was in the early hours of the morning. It was a typical shoot with a lot of lights and a lot of changes with different takes and props and no props. We had thirty-six or some odd outtakes like what you might see on you tube. They fed us and made sure we were hydrated. Everyone was smiling. The commercial director was around us and very concerned making sure we were alright. Everything turned out pretty good.”

Frank is very happy with his experience in the industry so far and looks forward to continued success in the business,

“I’m very happy with MAX. I feel it’s a part of my family and the Agency that will propel me into the industry. I want more auditions and parts, modeling, videos, different genres and more exposure because I enjoy it so much. More modeling would be nice and if given the right opportunity I think I’m sure I can do them proud. I see myself doing some major roles that will have an impact.”

MAX Agency’s Bookers are currently looking for new Talent! If you are interested we highly recommend visiting www.maxagency.com and filling out an Application. Wishing MAX continued success in the industry we’re looking forward to the Fall and future press releases featuring individual talent and projects and finding out more about MAX!
