Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity Misunderstood

Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity does NOT describe the actual mechanics of the universe! Einstein himself said so. SPACE LATTICE THEORY by Bruce Nappi finally explains why. The entire world of science needs to admit their 100+ year mistake.

Jacksonville, FL, July 20, 2015 - In 1905, Einstein published a paper now called the Special Theory of Relativity. His purpose was to show that the concept, popular at the time, that the speed of light is CONSTANT for EACH OBSERVER, was nonsense. We know this because Einstein repeatedly said so. In fact, according to Auffray, Einstein destroyed his manuscript shortly after his paper appeared in print. But the press, and influential scientists, intent on defending their hasty misinterpretation of the Michelson-Morley experiment, supported the “constancy of light” concept and led the physics community in conforming to it. This mistake has misled science for over 100 years. It requires denying many inconsistencies and creating absurdly complex theories to explain them. How about a 20 dimensional universe, the size of a pinhead, which magically appeared out of nowhere? Space Lattice Theory finally explains many of the puzzles of physics with simple visual explanations and no relativistic handwaving!

So how can Lattice Theory explain what Einstein did not? In Space Lattice Theory, Bruce Nappi provides a theoretical exploration for an entirely new foundation for the universe. This new foundation describes how matter, energy, force at a distance, space and time can be explained by one single principle - the Grand Unification. Nappi, an engineer and Director of the A3 Research Institute, has written a comprehensive and very readable paper that explains the fundamental structure of the universe with a new model that does not require any major changes to the traditional laws of physics. Rather than just providing formulas, Space Lattice Theory explains what causes matter, energy, gravity and electro-magnetics and supports the explanations with graphics that depict the principles involved. It explains the Big Bang, and how it happened in a simple 3-D universe, with no requirement to abandon the conventional concepts of physics. It finally answers puzzles like the particle-wave nature of photons, what causes time, why it always goes forward, and what produces “cause and effect”. But most important, the Theory actually listened to what Einstein said. Einstein presented Relativity as an INDIRECT proof – also known as proof by CONTRADICTION. He wanted to show how bizarre the universe and physics would become if “constant with respect to each observer” was taken as a premise. Unfortunately, nobody got the right message.

Space Lattice Theory starts with the principle that space is actually NOT mostly empty. Instead, it is densely packed with a very small object called an “Aa”. The Aas arrange themselves as a structured Lattice. That is, space is more like a crystal than an empty void. Due to major disruptions that occur periodically over the eons of time, very small defects scientists call “dislocations” occur throughout the lattice. It is these defects that create what we call matter. The major disruptions are what we call Big Bangs! In short, the structure of the universe is exactly opposite of what our intuition tells us: space is solidly packed, and matter is due to voids! Space Lattice Theory explains how matter travels through space, and explains how it converts into energy and back again. To make all of this easy for the non-scientist reader to understand, these explanations are done without mathematical equations. Pictures are provided that show what Aas might actually look like and how they behave. The descriptions explain all the objects and forces in the universe, including what causes forces at a distance like gravity, and nuclear, electric and magnetic fields. And in a real breakthrough, Space Lattice Theory provides a model for Grand Unification, describing how all of these behaviors can be caused by the single principle of the Aa.

Kwame Binea Shakedown to Release

Self-Titled Debut EP on July 16, 2015

New York, NY, July 15, 2015 - Harlem-based roots rock songwriter/singer Kwame Binea, who fronts the Kwame Binea Shakedown, has announced the worldwide digital release of the group's debut and self-titled EP on Tuesday, July 17, 2015 via CDbaby.com and all their major digital distribution partners including iTunes and Amazon.com.

"Kwame Binea Shakedown" features four tracks including the group's first single "Let Go" (released in early April), their most recent single, "Hang On" (released in mid-June) and "Little Lady" and "Waiting," which have never been released. Musically, the EP showcases Binea's "roots rock" lineage, which is a fusion of rhythmic rock n' roll, ample dosages of infectious funk, silky soul, screaming blues and just a smidgeon of reggae and funk.

All the songs were written and produced by Binea and guitarist Justin Wilcox for Binea's indie imprint, Pelopos Entertainment Group. The EP was co-produced by Jerry Ramos and the Shakedown Band. The Shakedown band comprises; Binea on lead vocals, guitarist's Justin Wilcox and Art Vanterpool, drummer Medley Shabazz, bassist Phil Bass, Daron Wright on keyboards, Kengo Yamada and Michael Quigley on saxophone, Brian Varneke on trumpet and guest background vocalist's Dietrice Bolden and Jindai Joseph. The EP was recorded at SST Studios, Kaleidscope Studios and Mercury Studios, all located in New Jersey.

Binea and Wilcox have been intermittingly writing, recording and performing the songs over the past several years. "We've always viewed ourselves primarily as a live band" explained Kwame. "As writers, we're fueled by how our fans and audiences react to our songs. We take that energy and feedback back into the studio and do our best to channel it into the songs we decide to record. This EP means a lot to us because it's driven by all the love and positivity our fans keep giving us. It's our way of expressing our appreciation and thanks for all their inspiration and support," he added.

Binea, grew up splitting time in West London (his birth place) and in his native origins, Ghana. He later moved to Cherry Hill, NJ as a teenager where he started to unearth his artistic aspirations as a burgeoning songwriter/singer/guitarist. While in college he teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Justin Wilcox as a duo, which became the nucleus that spawned the rock/funk collective Kwame Binea Shakedown in Harlem, NY (2011). Over the past several years they have built a legion of loyal fans performing at most of the city's most noted music venues including Joe's Pub, Arlene Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall and Brooklyn Bowl, to name just a few.

Space Lattice Theory a Grand Unification of Physics

Space Lattice Theory presents a radically new theory of the universe that describes how matter, energy, force at a distance, space and time can be explained by one single principle - a Grand Unification. Many cosmic puzzles are finally explained.

Jacksonville, FL, July 12, 2015 - Space Lattice Theory, a scientific paper by Bruce Nappi, presents a radically new theoretical explanation for the foundation of the universe. This new foundation envisions the universe as a densely packed crystal-like Lattice and describes how matter, energy, force at a distance, space and time can be explained by that one single principle - a Grand Unification.

Nappi, an aerospace engineer and Director of the A3 Research Institute, has written a comprehensive paper that proposes a completely new structure for the universe. Rather than being mostly an empty void, the universe is densely packed with one small object called an “Aa”, which forms a crystal-like LATTICE that is infinite in size. Matter and energy move through the Lattice like dislocations and energy move through solid materials. The new model produces behaviors generally consistent with the conventional principles of physics. No complex math is needed to understand them. However, the new theory provides amazingly simple solutions to many of the current big puzzles of physics, and does so without the need to change the traditional laws of physics as current theories do. And, rather than being just a collection of mathematics, Space Lattice Theory explains what causes matter, energy, gravity, electro-magnetics and nuclear forces using simple figures. The paper is written without equations and is easily to read and understand by any reader.

Space Lattice Theory now provides simple but consistent explanations for all the major cosmic and nuclear questions of our time. For example, Big Bangs, which occur repeatedly, unfold in a simple, conventional 3-D universe without the need for singularities or to warp space. Big Bangs are, in fact, just like cosmic “space quakes”. As they open and then collapse, they create dislocations or bubbles in the Space Lattice. These are what we observe as matter. This explains how matter can appear to be created out of nothing, and also why an equal amount of antimatter is not observed. The theory presents new principles for Black Holes, showing why gravity can not exceed specific limits. It also describes how Black Holes convert matter back into natural Space Lattice, thereby reversing the process caused by Big Bangs. The theory suggests that photons play a major role in physics, and shows how they can come to rest, becoming what is called Dark Matter. The theory explains the duality of photons and explains how they convert mass to energy and back again. Using a new model for photons and electromagnetic waves, the microwave background is explained. And a final example, forces at a distance, in the form of gravity, electrostatics, magnetics and the nuclear forces are finally explained with tangible, visualizable principles, all being distinct wave fields in the physical Lattice.

Lattice Theory has profound implications for current research. It suggests that particle accelerator interpretations are very misleading. What we call “sub atomic particles”, for example, are not actually “sub” components of fundamental particles, but rather collision fragments. This is why they can come together, temporarily, into unstable forms with masses much higher than their parents. Lattice Theory would redefine particle accelerator research as new material research. Photons and light are considered distinct in Lattice Theory. By identifying new mechanisms for their energy loss during motion, Red Shift is given a new foundation directly related to distance traveled, independent of Doppler shift. This will force a reanalysis of most cosmic observations. A significant advantage provided by the theory is that most of its principles are directly testable, although requiring development of new types of instruments. The age old debate about the nature of light and the aether has finally been resolved and the misunderstanding of the Special Theory of Relativity that has lasted for so long can finally end.

One of the major highlights of their visit to Swaziland was their debut appearance at the MTN Bushfire Festival (May 29-31) which featured a special collaboration on two songs (one by each artist) with noted songwriter/singer Floewe (real name Fikile Dhladhla) a native of Swaziland. CNN recently noted the Festival is one of the top seven "must attend music festivals" in Africa.

SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK, which celebrated their 40th Anniversary last year is comprised of vocalist's Louise Robinson, Carol Maillard, Nitanju Bolade Casel, Aisha Kahlil and Shirley Childress (American Sign Language Interpreter). Legendary Singer-Songwriter and Producer Bunny Sigler Releases New Single “Buttermilk and Cornbread” Featuring Instant Funk out July 7

Remix Produced by Joe Gallagher, Saint Man, Bunny Sigler, and Instant Funk

Los Angeles, CA, July 01, 2015 - Four-time Grammy winning producer-singer-songwriter Bunny Sigler releases his second single, “Buttermilk and Cornbread” from the brand new, critically acclaimed album Bundino. The prolific songwriter who produced the “Philly Sound” intrigues his audience once again by showcasing his classic R&B sound going back to his roots with the funky, stand-out track as his follow-up on the R&B driven album featuring disco band, Instant Funk.

Complete with soulful ballads honing in a contemporary sound, Sigler pushes his vocals on this upbeat and lighthearted tune.“Buttermilk and Cornbread,” Bunny describes is a “blues track that reminisces of southern cooking and sweet country memories.” Sizzling with that down south sound, “Buttermilk and Cornbread” has a catchy chorus and a sensory smorgasbord of lyrics.

This feel good song recalls relaxing times and nostalgic jam sessions – uninhibited sing-alongs with friends that seem endless. The six minute song’s highlight is the unexpected trumpet solo that cuts in between at the halfway mark and the blend of unison backup vocals.

Backed by longtime collaborators, Instant Funk, the band has teamed up once again with Sigler. Currently in the studio working on new material, they’re ready to hit the road again and bring their live performances worldwide.

“…Sigler has no problem with shaking things up, and he demonstrates his comfort with envelope pushing through Bundino.” –Soul Tracks

Along with the original mix of “Buttermilk and Cornbread,” Bunny will also release a special remix version of the song – an upbeat rendition of the standout single produced by Joe Gallagher, Bunny Sigler, Instant Funk, and Saint Man. The remix will have listeners wanting more and radio hosts playing the track on repeat. A music video to accompany the single featuring Instant Funk will also be released in July.

Holman Ranch Vineyard and Winery Background:
Located at the north eastern tip of the Carmel Valley Appellation, the family-owned Holman Ranch resides approximately 12 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. Immersed in history and romance, the ranch has not only proven to be an excellent growing location for our vineyards but also for the Tuscan varietal olive trees which have flourished under the temperate climate.

Holman Ranch estate-grown wine varietals are planted on approximately 19 acres of undulating terrain. The wines produced are unfined and crafted to deliver the true varietal of the grape from harvest to bottle. The climate and terroir of the appellation has played a critical part in the success of their wines. The warmth of the inland valley coupled with the cooling marine layer has proven to be an ideal microclimate for the production of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The vineyards' Burgundy Clones have thrived from the perfect blend of ideal climate, southern exposure and thin rocky soils.

The estate wines of Holman Ranch include: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir. Carefully hand-harvested, cold pressed and bottled, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced from the fruits of our trees has a delightfully distinctive flavor.

Holman Ranch Background:
Holman Ranch: Where the Past is Always Present. Tucked away in the rolling hills of Carmel Valley, historic Holman Ranch provides a unique and memorable setting for weddings, special events, family gatherings, corporate retreats, and team-building events. With its charming gardens, stunning mountain views and serenity, this private estate affords old-world charm while providing modern day conveniences. This stunning Property includes a fully restored stone hacienda, overnight guest rooms, vineyards, olive grove, horse stables and more.

The Clement Palo Alto, Opening Fall 2015, Offers A 6-Star Experience in the Heart of Silicon Valley with Unparalleled Personal Service in All-Inclusive Luxury

When The Clement Palo Alto opens its doors in Fall 2015, it will be one of the most innovative, personalized and unique luxury hotels in the Country.

Palo Alto, CA, June 20, 2015 — When The Clement Palo Alto opens its doors in Fall 2015, it will be one of the most innovative, personalized and unique luxury hotels in the Country.

With 23 spacious and richly appointed one-bedroom suites, The Clement Palo Alto sets a new standard for personalized luxury accommodations in a contemporary residential-style atmosphere.
While unparalleled service is key to any great luxury hotel, The Clement Palo Alto takes its impeccable service to another level with an all-inclusive policy, including personalized concierge services, breakfast, lunch and dinner in an on-premise location of the guest's choice. All wine, beer and cocktails, in-room mini-refrigerator (stocked with the guest's favorites), and fully-stocked Guest Pantry available around the clock, are just a few of the amenities included in this all-inclusive experience.

In fact, The Clement Palo Alto is more than all-inclusive, it is all-exclusive, catering exclusively to the guest's personal tastes and desires.

No detail has been overlooked at The Clement Hotel, from the guest's favorite sparkling water and snacks in the mini-fridge to the plush Stearns & Foster European pillow top California King beds with luxurious Frette bed linens.

“The inspiration for this hotel came about when my wife and I took a getaway trip to the island of Bali,” says Clement Chen III, president of Pacific Hotel Management, LLC, creators of The Clement Palo Alto. “We stayed at a small hotel there that left a deep impression on us. Everybody at the hotel - even the gardening staff - knew our names, and everyone there was so warm and personable.

And, since all of the staff knew who we were, we never had to sign a check for anything. We didn’t feel like we were customers at a hotel - we were able to just relax and enjoy our stay, like being at home, only better!”
That memorable hotel stay convinced Mr. Chen that the same experience would be well-received in the U.S., and that has been the guiding vision for The Clement Hotel.

“I want each guest to feel like a guest, not a customer,” says Chen. “I loved the feeling of not having to sign a check or worry about tipping every time I turned around. That is why we have all-inclusive pricing. We want our guests to feel like they are house guests at a great residence with a terrific service staff.”

The moment guests arrive at the front door, they will step into an oasis of sophistication, service and comfort. Instead of the typical lobby and registration desk of most hotels, guests at The Clement Palo Alto will be greeted by their personal Guest Experience Manager.

This personal Guest Experience Manager will have an iPad with all the pertinent information about the guests, including their wants and needs, and take them directly to their rooms. The Guest Experience Manager will take care of the guests for the duration of their stay and take care of all their personal needs.

During their stay, guests can have breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared in The Kitchen, the hotel's open kitchen, with an executive chef presiding over the menu tailored to their tastes and requirements. Guests can dine in The Dining Room, the outdoor Dining Terrace, the privacy of their guest suite, or in a private cabana on the private roof-top pool deck overlooking the picturesque Stanford University campus.

Guests also have access to the beautifully appointed communal guest kitchen, which is similar to a high-end residential kitchen, with access to a fully stocked guest pantry that is available around the clock.

The 650-square-foot, one-bedroom suites offer modern and sophisticated comfort reflecting the Northern California lifestyle. Each suite provides an intuitive layout with an array of carefully curated amenities to enhance the guest's stay.

State-of-the-art technology is combined with comfort of the highest quality, such as sumptuous Frette linens, 65-inch Samsung Smart TVs, Nespresso Vertuoline coffee machines, and fully stocked in-room refrigerators.

Spacious stone-lined bathrooms include a soaking tub and a separate glass-enclosed shower, lighted makeup mirrors at a dry vanity area, and a TV behind the mirrors, just a few of the features that will delight their senses.

Other luxurious touches include remote-controlled motorized draperies, a desk fully stocked with office supplies and a connectivity panel for Internet and charging, robe options and slippers of the guest's choice in the spacious closets.

The common areas of the hotel feature the elegant Living Room, which is accented with a stone fireplace and is the perfect location to relax with a favorite cocktail or glass of wine. Or they can enjoy the firepit on the outdoor Dining Terrace or at the roof-top deck with a swimming pool, whirlpool and private cabanas.

In addition, there is a fully equipped exercise room on the second floor of the hotel available to guests 24 hours.

The interior design of The Clement Palo Alto was created by Stanford Hughes of the renowned, award-winning San Francisco hotel design firm Brayton Hughes Design Studios.

Hughes says his design takes its inspiration from the hotel's architecture, which he describes as “an abstraction of traditional Manor House.”

“The decor is contemporary, elegant and comfortable. It offers a warm, alluring ambiance in an intimate residential scale,” says Hughes, whose firm's award-winning designs include Four Seasons Hotel Chicago and The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe. “The interior design offers a perfect blend of contemporary and classic elements. The palette of warm neutral colors and natural materials creates a soothing, cozy and relaxing environment. It is elegant and minimal, yet highly livable. The Clement Palo Alto is more than a hotel, it is a home away from home.”

The Clement Palo Alto's all-inclusive services and amenities include:

• All-inclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
• All-inclusive wine, beer and cocktails (charges apply for premium brands)

Background on Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar:
Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar became a landmark steakhouse in 1959 and has been a peninsula favorite for over 55 years. Entering Will's is stepping back into a time when fine food and service were the rule, rather than the exception. An intimate courtyard patio offers seasonal outdoor dining. Will's also features an intriguing small saloon with a full bar that pours an honest drink and features a lighter menu, including such standards as salads, burgers, and other delectable items. Dinner from 4:30pm nightly. Indoor and outdoor seating available as well as a pet friendly patio.

About The Owners:
Carmel Valley’s iconic steakhouse Will’s Fargo is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Nick Elliott and Hunter Lowder, who also team up to run nearby Holman Ranch, a wedding and special event venue that also produces wine and olive oil. Lowder formerly served as manager of Rio Grill in Carmel, while Elliott is a culinary school graduate. At Will’s, Lowder manages the front of the house while Elliott runs the bar. The couple maintains Will’s Fargo’s reputation as an elite steakhouse and popular locals’ hangout, while also using the property as an off-site option for Holman Ranch guests.

The History of Will's Fargo:
The Will’s building was constructed in the late 1920’s to be a tea room and later served as a Road House located on the “milk run” between Monterey and Tassajara, eventually becoming a dinner house named The Carousel. Will Fay established Will’s Fargo Restaurant in 1959; the name simply a take-off on his first name which seemed appropriate for what he called the “dressed up saloon” interior. With the use of antiques and collectibles, Will merged the gracious aura of a Victorian parlor with a western “Fargo” way station. An evening at Will’s Fargo brings back a bygone era.

Background on Chef Jérôme Viel:
A classically trained French chef born in Brittany, Jérôme Viel began studying the culinary arts at the age of 15. Traveling throughout Europe to study each region’s specialties, Chef Viel worked with some of the world’s greatest chefs.

He left Europe in 1999 and landed in Carmel Valley, Calif., working at two prestigious resorts, Bernardus Lodge and Stonepine Estate. Viel fell in love with bucolic Carmel Valley, met his wife and started a family (the couple have two daughters). For the last 12 years Viel has worked as executive chef at Carmel Valley’s iconic Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar.

Chef Viel learned the basics of traditional French cuisine, working with Pierre Estival at Le Métropole in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and at L'Hotel Antares, at Meribel in the French Alps, a one-star Michelin restaurant. He learned Italian influences from Pierre Carrier at the Albert 1er, a two-star Michelin restaurant in Chamonix.

Chef Viel left the French Alps and ended up in another magical place, Corsica, at Hotel Cala Rossa in Porto Vecchio. He then spent two years in Switzerland working between Hotel Des Trois Rois in Basel and with Roland Pierroz, at Le Rosalp in Verbier, where he had the privilege of working alongside some of that country’s most prestigious chefs, including Philippe Rochat and Fredy Girardet.

Kwame Binea Shakedown Announce Second Single and Video, "Hang On" Set for June 16th

Harlem-based roots rock singer/songwriter Kwame Binea, who fronts the Kwame Binea Shakedown, has announced the worldwide digital release of their second single

New York, NY, June 15, 2015 - Harlem-based roots rock singer/songwriter Kwame Binea, who fronts the Kwame Binea Shakedown, has announced the worldwide digital release of their second single, "Hang On" for Tuesday, June 16, 2015 via CDbaby.com and all their major digital distribution partners including iTunes and Amazon.com.

"Hang On" is catchy, upbeat, funk/rock/soul dance song layered with a poignant, hopeful and uplifting universal message that encourages "little brothers to hang on."

It was co-written and produced by Kwame Binea and guitarist Justin Wilcox for Binea's indie imprint, Pelopos Entertainment Group. The song also features the rest of Shakedown band, drummer Medley Shabazz, guitarist Art Vanterpool, bassist Phil Bass, Daron Wright on keyboards, Kengo Yamada and Michael Quigley on saxophone, Brian Varneke on trumpet, and guest background vocalists Dietrice Bolden and Jindai Joseph.

The video meshes live performance footage with compelling images that accentuate the broader symbolism and inspiration behind the song. The video was edited by Kate Peterson.

"I really wanted to create an anthem-like track to encourage young brothers to keep their heads up and never stop believing in themselves," explains Binea. "These are tough times and a lot of our young people are a bit lost and aren't getting the level of support they need. So, just trying to give them some of the same kind of positive reinforcement and encouragement I received growing up," he added.

"Hang On" follows the group's debut single/video "Let Go" (released in April). The video was culled from a Kwame Binea Shakedown live performance at the Brooklyn Bowl earlier this year.

Binea grew up splitting time in West London (his birth place) and in his native origins, Ghana. He later moved to Cherry Hill, NJ as a teenager where he started to unearth his artistic aspirations as a burgeoning songwriter/singer/guitarist. While in college he teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Justin Wilcox as a duo, which became the nucleus that spawned the rock/funk collective Kwame Shakedown in Harlem, NY (2011). Over the past several years they have built a legion of loyal fans performing at most of the city's most noted music venues including Joe's Pub, Arlene Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall and Brooklyn Bowl, to name just a few.

The Kwame Binea Shakedown will also be releasing their self-titled debut EP July 17.

About the Performers
DON EDWARDS - The six time winner of the prestigious Wrangler Awards for Outstanding Traditional Music from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in OKC, as well as their Founders Award, sets Don Edwards apart from other western performers. The songster from Hico, Texas is a historian, author, musicologist, songwriter and a true American patriot. Bobby Weaver of the Cowboy Hall of Fame referred to Don Edwards as the “….the best purveyor of cowboy music in America today.” However, he remains a most humble man. Don is also one of the nicest persons you’ll ever meet. A real prince of a guy! The late, singing cowboy of the silver screen Rex Allen, in his opinion, said Don was: “The Best of the best.

SONS OF THE SAN JOAQUIN – The Hannah Boys are simply the best harmony trio to ever come along in western music. Starting out singing songs of the Sons of Pioneers, Joe and Jack added Joe’s son Lon and they formed the Sons of the San Joaquin over 25 years ago. The WMA Hall of Fame trio have won numerous awards including, among others, the Western Music Association’s (WMA) Traditional Group eight times; three Wrangler Awards from the Cowboy Hall of Fame and Jack has won the Songwriter of the Year WMA award six times. They are cutting back on their tours nowadays and sticking closer to home, so this is a rare opportunity to see them perform.

WADDIE MITCHELL – For a guy who spent the majority of his life as a hired man on horseback, Waddie Mitchell has been honored by many in art and culture organizations. Waddie Mitchell, Co-Founder of the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering, was named by People as the “Best Known Cowboy Poet.” He was commissioned by the 2002 Cultural Olympiad to compose a commemorative poem. Since then Waddie received the Cowboy Spirit Award by Arizona’s Festival of the West; Nevada’s Heritage Award; American Cowboy Culture Award; inducted into the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame; and an honorary Adjunct Professor from the University of Wyoming. Not bad for a cowboy who talks for a living.

R W HAMPTON – American Cowboy selected RW as one of the Top 50 Country and Western Singers of All Time. The genuine, sure nuff’ cowboy from New Mexico, has been awarded by the Academy of Western Artists (AWA) with the Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year (3 times), and Album of the Year. The Western Music Association (WMA) inducted him into their prestigious Hall of Fame, as well as presented awards for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Male Performer of the Year. RW has also won 3 Wrangler Awards from the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Dave Stamey once introduced RW at one of earlier shows as “the Voice” of western music; due to his unique baritone sound…it fits.

KATY MOFFATT – Nick Dalton of The London Express, noted: “If ever there was the perfect singer/songwriter, it is Katy Moffatt. Her voice is perhaps the most searingly beautiful thing you’ll ever here.” This Texan has a following around the world. Katy has shared the stage with the likes of Muddy Waters, Everly Brothers, Hoyt Axton and our own Tom Russell, and appeared in four movies. Known for her versatility in music and not selling out to the suits in Nashville to suit the masses, Katy recorded the highly acclaimed Cowboy Girl album in 2001, co-produced by David Wilkie (Cowboy Celtic) and Scott O’Malley. This lady puts more emotion into her music than anyone else in the music business today. We’re glad to welcome Katy to her first Monterey Cowboy Festival.

DAVE STAMEY – He’s one of the most sought out western performers today out on the sawdust trail. Cowboys and Indians called Dave “The Charley Russell of Western Music.” The 4 times WMA Entertainer of the Year, 5 times Male Performer of the Year and 5 times Songwriter of the Year is a remarkable singer/songwriter. True West in 2010 identified him as the “Best Living Western Solo Musician” and Western Horseman said his The Vaquero Song is “one of the greatest Western songs of all time.” How can someone disagree! Dave Stamey has a large following at the Monterey Cowboy Festival. There is a reason.

BELINDA GAIL – Known as “America’s Western Sweetheart”, Belinda keeps racking up the awards from the WMA. Last November, she received the WMA Album of the Year award for her highly acclaimed Granite Mountain CD. Belinda also has won their Female Performer of the Year award a remarkable 7 times!!! They may as well name the award after her. Belinda has won Duo of the Year twice with the late, wonder singer/songwriter Curly Musgrave and the AWA’s Female Vocalist of the Year 2 times as well. Belinda also is known for her wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace, which she performs in her gospel sets. Belinda also was selected by American Cowboy as one of the Top 50 Country and Western Singers of All Time. Way to go gal!!

BRUCE FORMAN & COW BOP – Led by the legendary jazz guitarist Bruce Forman, Cow Bop was inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame. The San Francisco Chronicle said: “It’s hot, jazzy and has a drawl.” The late Herb Jeffries, The Bronze Buckaroo, after seeing them perform, commented: “These guys cook! The most fun you can have with your spurs on. Pinto Pammy is a wonderful vocalist and a star in her own right. Bruce of the Bruce Forman Trio has recorded 18 albums, 4 of which were with Cow Bop. He is the resident instructor in Guitar at the prestigious Thornton School of Music at USC. Rich O’Brien, western music producer extraordinaire and popular studio guitarist said: “Bruce Forman is my hero.” That’s good enough for us.

SOURDOUGH SLIM – There is only one Sourdough Slim. He is truly the “Last of the Vaudeville Cowboys”. Relegated to the role of a “sidekick” he takes it in stride and masters the role. The accordion playing songster, who also plays harmonica, guitar, does rope tricks, dances a gig, and yodels, all at the time, well almost, is referred to as a “on-man extravaganza”. He’s performed at venues such as the Elko Cowboy Gathering, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Don Edwards says “He is a master showman and one of the finest musicians I know.” Welcome back to Old Monterey Slim.

JESSE SMITH - He has lived most of his life as the hired man on horseback. Jesse Smith, who grew up in Glennville, CA, called isolated cow camps home for many a year. He started composing poetry at an early age while working on the historic Tejon Ranch. He was invited to the first Elko Cowboy Gathering in 1985. Jesse knows the classics and recites them as well as anyone. He’s also written serious poetry such as High Sierras; however audiences love his sense of humor with poems such as the New Suit of Clothes or Jumper Cables. Jesse and the late Sunny Hancock has a book of their work – COWBOY POETRY Horse Tracks Through The Sage. Chris Isaacs, cowboy poet, calls Jesse “a natural comic and the kind of a guy that makes you laugh just to see that he is on the show.” We can all attest to that. Welcome back Jesse!

ADRIAN - The 24 year old “Buckaroo Girl”, with 3 albums of western music under her belt, returns to the Monterey Cowboy Festival. Truth be told, Adrian Brannan’s first cowboy/girl performance, was at the Open Mic session in Monterey, when she was only 14. Western Horseman identified her composition The Will James Days as one of the 13 Best Western Songs of All Time. Adrian has a powerful voice, infectious laugh, vivacious personality and positive attitude. Her folks raised her right! Bill Reynolds, Publisher of Ranch and Reata, once commented on Adrian: “The new, young artist is a buckaroo’s Taylor Swift.” We like her just as she is!!

JEFF GORE – This is a return visit to the Monterey Cowboy Festival for Texan Jeff Gore. He was recently profiled in an article by Jennifer Dennison in Western Horseman (Jan 2015), entitled A Cowboy’s Mission. Yes, Jeff Gore is an ordained minister, however he rides, ropes and doctors cattle as part of being a “cowboy missionary”. He’s also a popular speaker in public schools on the subjects of the Old West, Cattle Drives and making wise decisions. Jeff also had the role of “Mr. Fox” in Tommy Lee Jones The Good Old Boys TV movie (1995) and in a Maxwell Coffee commercial. He is a gifted songwriter and has a wonderful tenor voice. His album Old Glory contains the song by Sonny Throckmorton – Jesus Always Chose the Weakest Man, which has become Jeff’s personal life story.

PAT RICHARDSON – The Monterey Cowboy Festival just wouldn’t be the same without Pat Richardson reciting his irreverent but always humorous poetry. The former professional Rodeo Bronc and Bull rider….that explains it…..won the AWA’s Best Male Poet (2003), as well as another Will Rogers Award from the AWA for his book of poems Unhobbled. The book also contains some his drawings. Most people probably don’t know he was once the cartoonist for Rodeo Sports News. Baxter Black once said “Pat’s poems are always a treasure trove of cleverness gone awry.” Glad to have you back Pat…..however we’re watching you.

KAREN ROSS - The other part of the Jim Ross family, is his witty wife Karen. Karen is a cowboy poet aficionado and appreciates the classics such as English playwright and theater critic - Frank Desprez’s dramatic Lasca. It was first published in a London magazine in 1882 based upon Desprez’s adventures as a cowboy in Texas in the 1860s. Karen is most known for her amazing recitation of Rinderfella, a comical satire on the Cinderella story, previously recited by the late Alice Hancock, wife of the cowboy poet Sunny Hancock. The story is it was from a Hee Haw skit featuring Archie Campbell. It is worth the price of admission to hear Karen recite it. Priceless!

JIM ROSS – A longtime favorite cowboy poet of the Monterey Cowboy Festival is Jim Ross, from the Jamestown area of the Gold Country. The former working cowboy from the Mt. Shasta area recites the classic cowboy poems as well as own compositions. One of the best is his Hot Shot Wars. If you’ve worked the chutes before, you’ll have an appreciation what might just happen when cowboys play at work and the foreman is not around. Jim also sports one of the best mustaches among the cowboy poets. He has recited his poetry many times at the Elko Gathering.
