Flag cases have a long history of preserving flags of fallen and deceased veterans.
Deer Park, NY, March 19, 2012 - Flag cases have a long history of preserving flags of fallen and deceased veterans. At a veteran’s funeral, whether he or she was in the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, the American flag is presented to a family member of the deceased veteran.
This flag is part of a larger ceremony, usually at the cemetery, where an honor guard fires volleys into the air. There is no greater sacrifice than to die for one’s country. Therefore, the ceremony is solemn and full of honor for the fallen warrior.
The ceremony involves folding the flag into a triangle. To watch the honor guard do this is dramatic. They do it with such care and reverence, not only for the country it symbolizes, but for the memory of their brother or sister in arms. When they give the flag to you, you will know how powerful this symbol is. You will never forget that moment.
If you received a flag from an honor guard for your loved one, you need to protect it well. This is not your average flag: this is a symbol of the great sacrifices your loved one made for the United States. Many places sell flag cases, but Flag Connections is your best online source. They take pride in all of their products, including flag display cases, awards cases, medal display cases, sword display cases, historical flags and much more.
Besides the flag case itself, there are many accessories that will enhance the appearance of the flag case. For example, you can put the flag case on a pedestal. Another example of an accessory is a medallion, which can be made in the seal of the branch of the U.S. military in which your loved one served. Flag Connections has both of these items, plus much, much more.
The final thing you must consider, is where to place that symbol so rich in meaning and value. Some people put it on the mantle of the fireplace, while others place it on the wall. Wherever you choose to put the flag case, display it in a place where you can see it regularly, a place that will give it honor and a place where others can see it, too. Flag Connections has all necessary accessories to help you honor the flag case wherever you put it in your home.
Flag cases are a beautiful way to memorialize an honor guard flag, as well as a necessary way to protect the flag itself. This is no ordinary flag, so it must be both honored and protected. Flag Connections has everything you need to do this, plus awards cases, medal display cases, sword display cases, historical flags and much more. They take pride in their products, which are made in the USA. Contact them today for all of your flag case needs.
