Find out the ROI of a BPM Project Before Beginning the Implementation

The scope, the methodology and the tools to be implemented largely determine the ROI of a Business Process Management implementation project in a company, and are the main causes of success and also of most failures.

Woburn, MA, October 12, 2014 – AURA (www.auraportal.com), a global provider of AuraPortal Business Process Management (BPM) software, has announced that its investigation team has undertaken an extensive study of the factors that determine ROI (Return on Investment) in a BPM implementation project. The results of this study will be showcased in an upcoming webinar which will be announced in the near future, and will minimize the investment risks in companies interested in adopting Business Process Management.

AuraPortal has been distinguished with great advantage over its competitors by Ovum in its Decision Matrix report and by other renowned analyst firms.

Implementing BPM in an organization represents a substantial change in the way to manage and understand the way of working in a company, and it is not without risk. However, the correct implementation of a BPM suite unquestionably improves the entire organization, exposing weaknesses and strengthening activities. As analysts have confirmed, it makes the organization more efficient, more effective and more competitive.

This study, performed by AuraPortal, has calculated the Return on Investment of the methodology to be used and the tools to be implemented in a BPM project. It has taken into consideration not only the basic factors of ROI (such as the benefits obtained and the investment to be made), but also two other factors that are very important in this type of project, the risks and the flexibility.

Grammy® Winner Laura Sullivan Calls out to The World to make History by Singing in her New Music Video

Grammy® winning artist Laura Sullivan is well known for teaming up with talented music industry professionals.

Hollywood, CA, October 11, 2014 - Grammy® winning artist Laura Sullivan is well known for teaming up with talented music industry professionals. Whether in providing music to the hit show “So You Think You Can Dance,” Emmy winning documentaries, or national television commercials, she has always sought to bring people together to create new music.

However, this time Sullivan is reaching out to a completely different collaborator – the whole wide world.

Sullivan is calling out to her fans and the entire global community to contribute their voices to her new music video “We Are Love.”

“It’s never been done like this before, so far as I know.” Says Sullivan.“Amateurs, professionals, kids – really anybody with a cell phone and five minutes can participate. Record it, and send it – that’s it. We have made it so easy to be part of a music video.”

While past endeavors by other producers have crowdsourced seasoned or professional singers recording to their webcams, Sullivan’s unique project welcomes not just the pros but anyone of any age and ability to join in. Technological advances and ease of use in video recording quality and digital transmission for the first time allow a worldwide, high-fidelity collaboration with just about anyone who has a cell phone. Interested parties should watch the Teaser video at GetInTheVideo.com or can view it online at: youtu.be/dMu1yV_A_Ng.

“I encourage anyone that would like to participate to submit their video clip. We don’t only need singers, we need everybody!” Sullivan emphasizes. “This project is about love, joy, unity, inclusion, and our human connection. Don’t worry about how you sound. Just have fun!”

Sullivan released her Teaser video on October 6th with a call to action promoting open submissions.

Submissions to the video project are open now until November 14th.

The official video will be released in February 2015.

Through this unique project, Sullivan is supporting Little Kids Rock, a non-profit organization who provides free musical instruments and classes to underserved children. Over the past 12 years, they have provided over 300,000 children the gift of music education. 50% of the proceeds of the crowd created song and video “We Are Love” will be donated to the Little Kids Rock foundation.

“Little Kids Rock is so grateful to Laura Sullivan for her support,” says Little Kids Rock Founder and CEO, David Wish. “It’s up to the big people to stand up for the little kids, and that is exactly what Laura is doing by including Little Kids Rock in her next project, inspiring our kids, and helping bring the lifelong gift of music to even more kids in our nation's most economically challenged school districts!"

Sullivan is working with Eepybird LLC, in the development of her crowdsourcing music video. Eepybird LLC has created viral campaigns for companies such as OfficeMax, ABC Family, Coca-Cola, and McDonald's. They have received two Emmy nominations, four Webby Awards, and were voted “Online Game Changers of the Decade” at GoViral.com.

SAFE International Aims to Help Women Learn How to Defend Themselves by Launching Self Defense Fort McMurray, Alberta

The owners of SAFE International have announced they are well on its way towards realizing their mission by launching Self Defense Fort McMurray.

Fort McMurray, Alberta, October 09, 2014 – (Straight Line PR) - The owners of SAFE International have announced they are well on its way towards realizing their mission by launching Self Defense Fort McMurray. They are aiming to accomplish this feat through the offering of their self-defense training seminars, which will include women’s self-defense parties, high school self defense, and corporate lunch and learns.

SAFE International, which has been in the forefront since 1994 empowering people to save their own lives through the use of self-defense concepts, believes its current focus on empowering women to protecting themselves is needed now more than ever.

“Unfortunately, we live in an increasingly violent society, and we, here at SAFE International, want to not only want to share our knowledge and experience with others, but while in the process of sharing we are also empowering people throughout Canada, the United States, and globally to defend themselves,” added Roberts. Adding SAFE International self defense in Fort McMurray is another step in that journey.

Even though their mission at SAFE International is to teach real self-defense skills to as many women, children, and men, from 12 years of age to 82 years of age, they are focusing their attention primarily on civilians who really need these skills.

While continuing to meet the growing needs of people, corporations, organizations and schools year after year, SAFE International™ has continuously provided both effective, and highly memorable, personal protection instruction through their unique ability to reach more people in a way that enables them to retain and utilize the skills if necessary.

According to Roberts, complicated techniques that require regular practice in order to become second nature weren’t simply going to help in a potentially life-threatening situation, and therefore, they aren’t offering a martial arts program. Rather, they are offering what they considered to be “a practical and realistic approach to personal safety.”

“What sets our approach to self-defense training apart from all other programs is how we present our courses with real-life simulated scenarios, with hands-on techniques and with humour, yes… humour,” said Roberts, who believes that while the subject matter is a very serious one, SAFE International™ knows that learning in a safe, fun, and enthusiastic environment is the best way to retain what is being presented.

“While others in the self-defense industry focus solely on the physical side of personal protection, we here at SAFE International™ focuses on all aspects. Our training, for example, covers the most important awareness and avoidance phases, to intelligent verbal strategies, and to the physical aspects you may require to enable yourself get home safely to your family,” explained Roberts, who has had the great fortune of collaborating with professionals and specialists from all fields within the realm of self defense.

“There is violence everywhere, and everyone is responsible for their personal security, and it s on that basis that SAFE teaches self-defense that addresses real-life violence, thus providing a no-nonsense approach to personal safety. Our goal is to teach our students to Recognize, React, and Respond effectively to any confrontation in the quickest possible time,” concluded Roberts.

This free, not-to-be-missed, community safety event is fun for the whole family and will feature many valuable safety activities and demonstrations.

“We are looking forward to another fantastic Community Safety Saturday!” remarks Bill Ritchey, President of William Ritchey Insurance Agency. “As we focus on family and community safety, awareness is the first step in prevention.  An event like this puts people and safety resources together in a fun and safe environment.”

One of the most important features of Community Safety Saturday will be the complimentary child car-seat safety inspection station with trained child car seat inspection technicians sponsored by Safe Kids Central California. The KlaasKids Foundation Print-A-Thon is another important and free service that will be offered at Community Safety Saturday. The Print-A-Thon provides digital photo IDs & fingerprinting for every child. Parents receive a free DNA collection kit, child-safety tips, and a 9-point plan on what to do if their child disappears. KlaasKids is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to stop crimes against children by providing education and knowledge to the general public, and by promoting partnerships with concerned citizens, the private sector, organizations, law enforcement, and legislators. Marc Klaas advises, “The best way to avoid victimization is through education and knowledge.”

Community Safety Saturday will also feature the following attractions with more organizations to be confirmed soon:

*    Kern County Fire Department will bring a fire engine and safety trailer for tours.
*    Delano Police Department will bring safety and crime prevention information.

*     FBI will bring safety information for families.

In addition to educational activities and demonstrations, and fun games during “Community Safety Saturday,” there will be a drawing at the end of the event with prizes such as a Solar Safety Flashlight, a Bluetooth® headset, StoveTop FireStop devices, an emergency radio and an emergency roadside kit. The grand prizes will be a 32” flat screen TV and a Google Tablet. Free recyclable tote bags with safety coloring books, crayons and other giveaways will also be distributed while supplies last.

Squid Mountain in Monterey- Circa 1930

About Wharf Walks
For thousands of years people have made their living fishing the Monterey Bay, beginning with the Rumsien Ohlone, the Native People of the Monterey area. From abalone to rockfish, everything was fished and utilized and the Monterey Bay was a multi-cultural stew, made up of whalers from the Azores, squid fishermen from China, salmon fishermen and abalone divers from Japan, and Sicilians fishing sardines in the "dark of the moon." This entertaining tour of Old Fisherman's Wharf and the waterfront will take us back in time to explore the history of the Monterey Wharf, early history of the Monterey waterfront, The Rumsien/Ohlone People--Monterey's first fishermen, the abalone industry, whaling the bay and of course, the legendary sardine industry. Discover some of the people and cultures of Monterey's colorful past and hear fascinating stories about Old Fisherman's Wharf and those who worked and walked there. Chef Chad Minton Named New Executive Chef for Pacific’s Edge at Hyatt Carmel Highlands

Steve McNally, General Manager for Hyatt Carmel Highlands announced today the hiring of Chef Chad Minton as the hotel’s new Executive Chef.

Carmel, CA, October 01, 2014 - Steve McNally, General Manager for Hyatt Carmel Highlands announced today the hiring of Chef Chad Minton as the hotel’s new Executive Chef. “We are fortunate to have a culinary team as passionate about their work as they are experienced and professionally trained,” Mr. McNally says. “And in Chef Minton, we are bringing our dining experiences to the highest levels for our guests. We are proud to welcome a Chef of his stature to the Hyatt Carmel Highlands and our restaurants Pacific’s Edge and California Market.”

Chef Minton comes to Carmel with an outstanding record of culinary achievement, beginning with the Shoreline Grill at the Four Seasons in Austin, Texas. He relocated to San Francisco where he worked at the Ritz-Carlton under Chef de Cuisine Gary Danko. At that property’s Terrace Room, Minton became intimately familiar with traditional French provincial techniques and cemented his undeniable passion for cooking. His talent earned him a promotion to the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta and was elevated to Dining Room Sous Chef under Chef de Cuisine Olivier Gaupin. Later in his career Chef Minton would return to the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company at their Mobile Five Diamond Marina Del Rey property as Executive Chef earning him the distinction of the only cook in the company’s history to work his way up from Apprentice to Executive Chef. It was here that he achieved every chef’s lifetime goal of earning a Michelin Guide recommendation for his restaurant, Jerne.

Chef Minton’sfirst experience with Hyatt came as Chef de Cuisine at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco. During his tenure there, he was a regular guest of Narsi David’s Cooking Classes at Macy’s Cellar, catered charity events in Napa Valley and San Francisco and conducted private dinners for the Pritzker family and Robert Mondavi. Chef Minton is also proud to have hosted an American Institute of Wine and Food gala dinner where he had the honor of meeting that organization’s esteemed co-founder Julia Child. Chef Minton then assisted in the re-opening of the Hyatt Regency Vancouver property following a twenty-million-dollar renovation in 2002, becoming the Chef de Cuisine at the newly created  Mosaic Bar and Grill.

Chef Minton’s desire to return to Hyatt was met with a move to New York City as Executive Chef at the Andaz 5th Avenue, Hyatt Hotel’s ultra-chic, lifestyle boutique flagship property; recently named Travel & Leisure Magazine’s #1 New York business hotel and one of Conde Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Top Ten Hotels in New York City.

MAX Agency Press Release – September 30, 2014

Ellen has been a part of the film industry for most of her life through the film centre, as a fundraiser and more recently as an actress.

Toronto, ON, September 30, 2014 - Featured in this week’s press release is MAX Agency Toronto talent Ellen Nichols. Ellen has been a part of the film industry for most of her life through the film centre, as a fundraiser and more recently as an actress. I asked Ellen how she got started in the business,

“The only contact I’ve really had with the business was through the film centre. I was their main fundraising person and the construction manager. That was my involvement. I would be asked to step in to do acting for auditions. One day I would be playing a four year old kid and the next an old lady.”

I asked Ellen who she knows in the business and how she met them,

“I ended up being a fundraiser for different charities. The film centre made me a lifetime member and I would speak at events. I introduced Martin Scorsese for The Last Temptation of Christ. I met Robert De Niro in the lobby and escorted him to his seat and another time I introduced Meloche Bohrman. I know Norman Jewison, the actor Gordon Pinsent, Rod Steiger, Liza Minelli and Beau Bridges. I picked up Nicholas Cage and Olympia Dukakis from the airport and took them to their hotel. I met Atom Egoyan and Christopher Plummer when they came to town for the first fundraiser for the Film Centre and I recently auditioned for Atom through MAX for a movie starring Christopher Plummer. I even ate a hamburger with Dennis Hopper.”

How did you join MAX Agency?

“I’ve only been involved in this with MAX because my granddaughter said I should do this. While I was involved with the island airport dispute I was scouted on the street. The scout stopped me and took pictures of me and I remember I had on a fedora, I had on a hat and I gave her my cell phone number. I got a call from MAX Models Toronto and they signed me up and they sent me to the photographer and to an acting class. I had to wait a while because I fell on my elbow and needed surgery so as soon as I got through that I started the acting lessons and they started putting my name forward.”

What acting had you done before joining MAX Agency?

“I haven’t done that many things. For MAX I’ve done a Kevin Drew Video, a retirement video for Riviera, a commercial for Fortnight lingerie so far with MAX. I got the part for a little short film where my character was running off with her ex-boyfriend, I was also in a feature length film and there is another film I’m supposed to be in that hasn’t been shot yet.”

Ellen has more experience in the business than she leads us to believe and she is very optimistic about her future in the business and how things have been so far, “I’ve never made a living as an actor, I sort of fell into this and the more the better. I think if I can just get in the door I can get the part. I’ve been really happy with MAX Agency!”

MAX Agency’s Bookers are currently looking for new Talent! If you are interested we highly recommend visiting maxagency.com and filling out an Application. Wishing MAX continued success in the industry we’re looking forward to the Fall and future press releases featuring individual talent and projects and finding out more about MAX Agency Toronto’s Premier Model and Actor Agency for kid modeling, teen modeling and adults!

Set Sail in Style with All-Inclusive Luxury Cruising

Vietnam’s first five-star all-inclusive cruise in Nha Trang Bay - Fit for an Emperor

Hanoi, Vietnam, September 28, 2014 - The project was started in September 2014 and the first sailing is expected to be in the summer of 2015. The participants include Luxury Travel Ltd with the high-end cruise company, Huong Hai Ha Long Ltd.

One of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world, with miles of long, beautiful white-sand beaches and warm water, year-round green tropical islands and parks, rivers, typical fishing villages, special culinary characteristics and gorgeous seafood... Just some of the highlights of Nha Trang that appeal to seasoned holidaymakers.

Indeed Nha Trang Bay is a natural world of sparkling sea, marine life and islands waiting to be explored in style. Emperor Cruises (www.emperorcruises.com) combines oriental style with contemporary luxury. Together these create the perfect recipe for exploration, luxury adventures, enchantment, relaxation and memorable experiences.

The project will create jobs, boost the region’s economy and help to position Nha Trang Bay as one of the world’s luxury tourist destinations with smart international hotels and resorts such as the Intercontinental, Six Senses, Evason and Amanoi, and the Marriott and Hyatt coming soon on Long Beach.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Khanh Hoa Province, in 2013, over 3 million domestic and foreign tourists enjoyed overnight stays and sightseeing in the beach resort of Nha Trang and the surrounding attractions in the province, an increase of 29% compared to 2012. Of these, nearly 712,000 were international tourist arrivals.

Nha Trang has been the top attraction for travelers for both domestic and international tourists for many years and is also popular with day visitors because of its delightful beach, considered the most beautiful beach in Vietnam, with deep blue sea and seemingly endless white sand.

Inspiration for Emperor Cruises came from the recreational activities of Emperor Bao Dai when he used to stay in his villas in Nha Trang. He took great pleasure in sailing in Nha Trang Bay to go fishing around the offshore islands. Almost a half century later, Emperor Cruises have recreated his vessel, using inspirational designs, and still fit for an emperor.

The Emperor Cruises fleet has a junk cruise boat (from February 2015 with a capacity of 32 passengers) fit for royalty for day cruises around Nha Trang Bay as well as sunset cocktails and dinner on board.

“Emperor Cruises will also launch overnight luxury cruises in June 2015 in world-famous Nha Trang Bay, accommodating 30 people in 15 en-suite cabins, the first in a total of five cruise ships in this particular project, with each one designed to be a sanctuary where every moment counts for our guests.” said Bui Duc Long, Owner and Director of Emperor Cruises.

“With Emperor Cruises luxury doesn't mean there won't be adventure! You spend your time watching wildlife, scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, kayaking, embracing Mother Nature, and passing the time with your fellow passengers and crew.”

The benefit of an ultra-luxury cruise with Emperor Cruises is that, apart from being small boats with personalized service and outstanding facilities on an all-inclusive basis, often there is no bill to pay at the end whether on a one-day or two-day cruise.

The cruise fleet will accommodate up to 150 guests in five unique boats within five years in the initial stage and then the joint-venture company will develop a fleet of 10 boats carrying up to 300 to 500 passengers cruising the bay on a daily basis.

The project has chartered capital of VND250 billion and the project aims to promote Nha Trang and Vietnam as a luxury cruise destination.

For international tourists, Russia is the country that occupies first place in the number of visitors to Khanh Hoa Province with about 150,000, thanks to chartered direct flights and Vietnam Airlines’ route straight from Moscow to Nha Trang.

With significant numbers of visitors from Australia, America, France, England and Germany, Vietnam expects to receive around 8 million tourists in 2014.

Netkiller Releases Google-Based Enterprise Portal

Netkiller’s Enterprise Portal is a groupware solution that re-formats and customizes the Google Apps user interface to make it is easier for people to comprehend.

Sunnyvale, CA, September 26, 2014 - Netkiller, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of it’s Google-based Enterprise Portal.

Netkiller’s Enterprise Portal is a groupware solution that re-formats and customizes the Google Apps user interface to make it is easier for people to comprehend. All Google Apps core services, such as Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar, and others. will be visible at a glance. Also, an administrator can add a bulletin board for the organization to make company announcements, and share thoughts, ideas and even photos.

Netkiller’s Enterprise Portal helps to boost productivity as users will be able to simultaneously check the list of their unread emails, recently modified documents, organizational charts, space usage of Google Drive and Gmail, today’s calendar and the user’s to-do list all on one page. The administrator of the portal can also customize the portal page by posting weather, stock price information, and news. The administrator can also adjust the size of widgets and their locations.

Netkiller’s Enterprise Portal also leverages the users’ Google Apps data and displays on various Google Sites with custom developed sites widgets. It is built purely on Google Sites platform so the data is secured by Google with a 99.9% uptime guarantee. There is no need for any extra hardware or software, or even additional storage.

Since it is possible to set up a hierarchic security structure, the administrator can designate which employees will have editing privileges and which employees will have view only privileges. If an employee is enabled to edit the portal, then he or she can do so just as easily as using a word processor.

Every bit of data that has been gathered through or created within the portal will be saved in the user’s own Google Apps account, so there is no need to purchase extra storage. Also, there is no need to be anxious about data leakage.

Netkiller currently provides a total of 6 different portal designs. Netkiller also provides further customization of your organization’s portal such as putting the organization’s logo on the portal and using various color schemes and layouts to further an organization’s brand identity.

Justin Jung, the CEO of Netkiller, said, “We developed this feature to provide better convenience and to improve the productivity of our users. The enterprise portal allows users to view a variety of features in Google Apps, such as Gmail and Calendar, at one glance. It also provides a way for an organization to broadcast company-wide news to its domain users. Netkiller Team is happy to provide such useful tool to our Google Apps customers who can now enjoy Collavate’s electronic approval system as well as creating the best fitting portal for their organization.”
