Nutrition Breakthroughs Announces 'Joints and More' for Healthy Joints, Energy, More

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, arthritis is the #1 cause of disability among adults. The ingredients in 'Joints and More' have been proven to provide natural joint relief, relief for allergies, increased energy and more.

Glendale, CA, July 04, 2014 - An estimated 50 million U.S. adults (about 1 of 5) have doctor-diagnosed arthritis. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, arthritis is the #1 cause of disability among adults. It is defined as painful inflammation, aching, stiffness and swelling in or around the joints. Arthritis can occur in any joint, but usually it affects the hands, knees, hips, neck or spine. Common limitations from arthritis include difficulty with climbing stairs, walking, lifting, reaching, bending or kneeling.

NutritionBreakthroughs.com of Glendale California is announcing their newest product called 'Joints and More', which contains a natural form of sulfur known as MSM. According to research studies, MSM is known to help joint symptoms, muscle soreness, headaches, allergies, hair growth and more by supporting collagen in the cells and reducing inflammation. Collagen is the main protein in connective tissues. The body's hormones, enzymes and immune system also depend on MSM on a daily basis.

MSM sulfur (methyl-sulphonyl-methane) is a white, odorless, water-soluble element found in nature and in foods such as milk, fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood and meat. Food processing methods such as heating, washing and freezing, all deplete MSM in foods, which makes daily replenishment beneficial. Many people with joint pain may be deficient in MSM. In a 1995 study, sulfur concentration in arthritic cartilage was shown to be about one-third the level of normal cartilage.

The Arthritis Foundation’s web site lists the most common side effects of those medications used to treat arthritis. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and ibuprofen can create edema (swelling of the feet) heartburn, stomach ulcers and possibly increased risk of blood clots and heart attack. Corticosteroids (cortisone) may contribute to cataracts, elevated blood sugar levels, increased appetite and bone loss. Injections at the arthritis site can create redness and swelling and increased risk of infections.

In the breakthrough book called "The Miracle of MSM: The Natural Solution for Pain," Stanley Jacob, M.D., the co-discoverer and 'Father of MSM', and Ronald Lawrence, M.D., share their experiences with successfully treating people with MSM. Together they have treated over 12,000 people with MSM for a variety of conditions at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon.

Dr. Jacob says: "MSM is a surprising supplement. When you start taking it, you may notice a number of good things happening in your life in addition to pain and allergy relief: More energy, cosmetic benefits such as softer skin, thicker hair, stronger nails; decreased scar tissue; and relief of constipation.”

Ellen N. of Littleton, Colorado says: "I had developed painful arthritis in both knees. The orthopedist prescribed physical therapy, knee braces, ibuprofen daily and an eventual surgery. Someone I know who works for a nutritional supplement company offered me a sample of MSM. I started taking it, I began noticing improvement, and this continued. Soon I had the same spring back in my legs just like before all this started. I was feeling major relief. Now I'm walking faster and even climbed on my roof to trim some trees. I feel like a new woman."

In one research study, patients suffering from degenerative arthritis were treated with either 2,250 mg per day of MSM or placebo. Sixteen patients were enrolled in the study. With the MSM group, the researchers reported "A better than 80 percent control of pain within six weeks of beginning the study."

There is no known cure for arthritis. According to Dr. Stanley Jacob, "Steroidal drugs such as cortisone are widely prescribed to reduce the inflammation associated with a wide array of painful conditions. These frequently lead to unhealthy weight gain, high blood pressure and even diabetes.....MSM offers a natural way to reduce pain and inflammation without serious side effects."

Research shows gap between how job seekers view their own employability and what employers value

Bryant & Stratton College Online will host a live online event on July 19 with HR experts from CareerBuilder and top employers like Marriott Hotels and Microsoft to discuss employability and advice for job seekers

Buffalo, NY, June 05, 2013 – Research shows there is a gap between how job seekers view their own employability skills and what employers value. According to a new survey from Bryant & Stratton College Online and Wakefield Research, 80 percent of 18-34 year olds feel they are job ready and possess all the skills, experience, and education needed to advance in their desired career path or obtain their next job. Comparatively, data released by global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company found almost 40 percent of employers attribute the main reason for job openings to lack of skills among entry-level applicants. The research indicates that college students and young employees have inflated assumptions about their own career readiness in today’s job market. To help connect individuals looking for a job understand what employers want, Bryant & Stratton College Online today announced a free career information webinar titled “Job Ready or Not?” as part of its ongoing Employability Series. The event will be streamed live online on July 19 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT.

Other results from the Bryant & Stratton College Online survey show how far out of step young job seekers are from employers. For example, only 16 percent of 18-34 year olds believe improving their soft skills will have the greatest impact on their career advancement. However, a survey conducted by the Association of American Colleges and Universities found 93 percent of employers said soft skills such as critical thinking, communicating clearly and complex problem solving are weighed more heavily in the hiring process than an individual’s undergraduate major. The contrasting data underlines a key oversight for job seekers.

“This event is an opportunity for anyone in the midst of a job search – students, new graduates or people looking for a career change – to hear directly from employers about what factors they consider before hiring,” said Scott Traylor, Associate Campus Director for Online Education at Bryant & Stratton College. “Being employable today is all about knowing how to communicate to employers that you have IQ as well as EQ. Our experts will share useful anecdotes, practical tips and new ideas so attendees will have the best information to make themselves stand out in a crowded marketplace.”

The “Job Ready or Not?” event will feature a panel of hiring and human resources experts from CareerBuilder, Enterprise, Humana, Marriott Hotels and Microsoft. In addition to giving attendees a look into the mind of an employer, the speakers will also offer resume help, practical tips for interview preparation, ideas for using social media in the job search and advice on how to communicate important soft skills during the hiring process. The event will be live streamed for free on July 19 from the Bryant & Stratton College campus in Buffalo, New York between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Those interested in joining online can register at http://online.bryantstratton.edu/employability-summit. A recorded version of the event will be available for download afterward.

“Job seekers need to start marketing themselves based on the skills, competencies and traits employers need and value most,” said Beth Tarquino, Chief Academic Officer at Bryant & Stratton College. “Too often the background experience and soft-skills attributes needed to successfully look for a job are underestimated, especially by college students and new graduates. Searching for a job can become a fulltime job, but putting in the extra work to understand hiring trends and needs of employers is worth it.”

For more information about the “Job Ready or Not?” event and what employers are looking for in job candidates, watch this video.

This event is part of the Bryant & Stratton College Employability Series, a program dedicated to helping students become career-ready upon graduation. By focusing on the development of employability skills, the College purposefully helps students develop technical, industry-specific knowledge as well as soft skills. New Research into Impact investing endorsed by AAA

AAA has welcomed news that pension funds in the UK are increasing their exposure to impact investments.

Boston, MA, December 08, 2012 - Alternative Asset Analysis (AAA) has welcomed news that pension funds in the UK are increasing their exposure to impact investments.

Research carried out by social investment intermediary Social Finance, found that 48 per cent of the 47 pension funds it surveyed were planning to invest in socially and environmentally sound asset classes, such as microfinance, green energy and social housing over the coming 1 to 2 years.

At the moment, only 23 per cent of the pension funds, with assets under management totalling some $230 billion, hold such investments. AAA’s analysis partner, Anthony Johnson spoke on behalf of the alternative investment advocacy group: “We welcome the news that pension funds in the UK are starting to realise the benefits of social investment.”

“Here in the US, institutional investors and individuals alike are all starting to increase their exposure to both alternative investments and impact investments and we wholeheartedly welcome this transition to a more responsible approach to investments.”

AAA also claims that alternative, ethical investments are a great way to diversify an investment portfolio against risk.

Social Finance’s David Hutchison, stated, “Impact investment is a visible asset with clear cash flow, stability and low correlation to other asset classes.”

AAA said it agreed with this, adding that other alternatives, such as forestry and timberland investment through firms like Greenwood Management, which operated sustainable plantation projects in countries like Brazil and Canada – also carry very low correlation with other economic trends. Mr Johnson said, “This means when other asset classes are losing value due to wider economic factors, these alternatives are staying strong.”

Mr Hutchison added that the next step in encouraging impact investing is setting up diversified, larger funds, to ensure people can get involved without putting up hundreds of thousands of dollars in initial investment. This will allow more individuals to get involved with this ethical side of investment.

FRA backs Long-term investment in Timber as an Asset class

A recent article in Barron’s stating the case for long term investment in lumber and timberland has been backed by FRA.

Bainbridge Island, WA, December 08, 2012 - A recent article in Barron’s stating the case for long term investment in lumber and timberland has been backed by Forestry Research Associates (FRA).

The research and analysis consultancy agrees with the notion that long-term timber investors will see strong returns. Analysts are pointing out the longer-term investment credentials of timberland due to a rise in the number of people making short-term investments in the sector in light of the price increases that have occurred off the back of Hurricane Sandy.

Shawn Hackett of the Hackett Money Flow Report, for example, told Barrons’ Widely advertised natural disasters tend to be tops in lumber, fairly consistently. People who are knowledgeable about this industry are using this spike as a selling opportunity.” Indeed, since mid-October timber futures have been on the up, with CME Group Lumber Futures closing up 7 per cent at $340.10 per thousands board feet last week.

The reason FRA and other analysts are backing lumber as a long-term investment bet are three-fold. Firstly, the recovery of the US housing market is spurring on the market for timber. Housing starts are expected to reach 1.15 million by 2014, which is a huge improvement on the 730,000 currently being started each year.

The demand from Asia for exported timber is another reason that there is money to be made in the timber market, claims FRA. For example, exported softwood from British Columbia in Canada to China this year will total some 4.5 billion board feet. This is up from less than half a million board feet just five years ago.

Lastly, the supply of timber is thought to be short of demand levels in the years to come. “This is likely to push up timber prices even further, presenting good opportunities for those who have invested now to sell their timber at a tidy profit,” added FRA’s analysis partner, Peter Collins.

FRA claims Romania is increasingly Attractive to Ethical investors

The latest economic figures to come out of Romania show that the country’s forestry sector is bucking the overall trend for recession, by growing by more than 4 per cent.

Bainbridge Island, WA, July 13, 2012 - The latest economic figures to come out of Romania show that the country’s forestry sector is bucking the overall trend for recession, by growing by more than 4 per cent. Forestry Research Associates (FRA) claims that this news will attract more foreign investment into the forestry industry in Eastern Europe.

FRA, a research and analysis organization, is a keen advocate of sustainable forestry projects and believes that investing in forestry can be a great way of diversifying a portfolio. “Forestry has a low correlation with equity markets and can also be a good option to offset inflation,” stated FRA’s analysis partner, Peter Collins.

In the first quarter of 2012, Romania’s GDP fell slightly, indicating the country is in recession, following a period of growth in 2011. However, the figures released by the country’s Statistics Institute, show that the forestry industry grew by 4 per cent. The growth in the forestry market and the fact that most analysts believe that the current slump is just a blip, means that foreign investors are likely to remain interested in Romania.

“Ethical investments, such as investing in plantation and sustainable forestry projects all over the world, are proving much more popular following the global economic crisis.

“We believe that countries like Romania will begin to attract more and more investment from foreigners in the coming year or so,” added Mr Collins.

Bogdan Ion, Ernst & Young’s managing partner, told Romanian Business Insider: "We see more and more investors attracted by the renewable energy sector. More privatizations are planned in the future, encouraging investors worldwide to look to our country.”

FRA supports a number of forestry projects run by firms like Greenwood Management in Brazil and elsewhere. “Investing in plantations is a good way to gain something tangible in exchange for your cash and can also help to prevent deforestation,” concluded Collins.

FRA says British Columbia seeing signs of Timber industry uptick

FRA has welcomed news that timber producers in British Columbia, Canada, are slowly returning to profitability after major damage from Pine Beetles over the past few years.

Bainbridge Island, WA, May 15, 2012 - Forestry Research Associates (FRA) has welcomed news that timber producers in British Columbia, Canada, are slowly returning to profitability after major damage from Pine Beetles over the past few years.

The news has come courtesy of industry analysis from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The firm has recently held its Global Forest and Paper Industry Conference in Vancouver, outlining how the industry is seeing a return to its previous good fortune.

The analysts claim that the industry in the region is set to return to profitability by the end of this year or early next year. A spokesperson for PwC said, “It’s a combination of events driving it, but it’s probably a long, slow process rather than a big bang.”

“The trend is in the right direction,” he added. FRA is a research and analysis consultancy specialising in forestry and timber investments. It’s analysis partner, Peter Collins explained, “We have always had faith in Canada’s forestry industry because the demand for timber just keeps growing.”

He added, “Emerging economies such as China and India, are demanding more and more raw materials to allow them to continue to grow. Meanwhile, the US real estate market is picking up and more houses will need to be built, using timber, in the coming months and years.”

FRA claims that all this will lead to an increase in the demand for timber while a shortage in supply keeps prices growing. It is this trend that also leads FRA to support forestry investments as a good option for those who are looking for a way to diversify their investment portfolio. “Investing in plantation projects, such as the sustainable teak and eucalyptus plantations run by firms like Greenwood Management, can bring balance to a portfolio while generating very healthy returns for anyone interested in alternative investments.”

New Report on Emerging Markets for “Alternative” Transparent Conductors

“Emerging Markets for Non-ITO Transparent Conductive Oxides” from NanoMarkets predicts that by 2016 the market for alternative transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) will reach $925 million.

Glen Allen, VA, September 27, 2011 - NanoMarkets, the recognized leader in research and analysis for transparent conductors and related markets has announced the release of a new report titled, “Emerging Markets for Non-ITO Transparent Conductive Oxides” that addresses the markets for “alternative” transparent conductive oxides (TCOs). In its report NanoMarkets predicts that by 2016 the market for these alternative TCOs will reach $925 million.

“Emerging Markets for Non-ITO Transparent Conductive Oxides “analyzes applications for these alternatives to indium tin oxide materials in LCD, e-paper, plasma and OLED displays; touch-screen sensors; thin-film and organic photovoltaics, OLED lighting; low-e windows and smart windows; solar control film, antistatics and RFI/EMI shielding. The report also discusses the opportunities for TCOs as an alternative to amorphous silicon in thin-film transistors.

Materials covered in the report include FTO, ATO, AZO, GZO, IZO, Multicomponent Amorphous TCOs (MATCOs) and p-type materials. The firms discussed in the report are 3M, Advanced Nano Products, Arkema, Asahi Glass, Cardinal Glass, Cathay Advanced Materials, DyeTech Solar, First Solar, Hewlett-Packard, Idemitsu, Kurt J. Lesker, Mitsubishi Materials, Nanophase, Philips Lighting, Pilkington, SAGE Electrochromic, Samsung, Solutia, Sony, Thin-Film Devices, Toshoh, Umicore and, US Research Nanomaterials.

Additional details about this report, “Emerging Markets for Non-ITO Transparent Conductive Oxides” are at http://www.nanomarkets.net/news/article/nanomarkets_releases_new_report_on_emerging_markets_for_alternative_transpa.

Key Findings from this report:
Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) could be the next ITO! It is already the dominant transparent conductor used for the highly successful CdTe versions of photovoltaics. In addition, FTO has been extensively used in low-emittance (low-e) architectural windows, which are used to control costs in commercial buildings. According to US Department of Energy the market for low-e windows continues to grow extremely fast despite the recessionary conditions in the construction industry. The fact that this opportunity is very much “here and now” means that it should be of special importance to materials suppliers, according to NanoMarkets. Meanwhile, FTO has also been proposed for use in plasma displays, dye sensitive cell (DSC) solar and even as a replacement for some silver coatings.

TCOs are not just for electrode materials anymore either. NanoMarkets believes that there are significant opportunities for these materials in thin-film transistor channels. In fact, there are already signs that they will be used in TFT channels for improved economics and performance in the AMOLEDs that are now rapidly penetrating the mobile display industry and will soon be used in TVs. In addition, the arrival of p-type TCOs, suggests a future of completely transparent electronics and PV and LEDs constructed from non-toxic materials.

NanoMarkets expects antinomy tin oxide (ATO) in its nanomaterial form to break into new markets. It is already gaining ground on nano-ITO in heat shielding and antistatics and NanoMarkets believes that it will even be able to compete with conducting polymers. The patent literature also describes several gas sensors constructed of ATO thick films. Printable ATO inks have already been developed that allow for the patterning of ATO thin films. Some of the high profile companies that have done work in the ATO space include 3M, British Gas, Corning, Harima Chemicals and Ulvac.

About NanoMarkets:
NanoMarkets tracks and analyzes emerging market opportunities created by developments in advanced materials. It provides regular and comprehensive industry analysis of the transparent conductor, nanomaterials, display and photovoltaics spaces. The Number of Top retailers using Abandoned Basket Email has doubled

Data was collected June-July 2011, and compares research with results from RedEye’s previous Behavioural Email Benchmark Studies released in November 2010 and March 2011.

Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes, September 10, 2011 - Latest research from RedEye shows the UK’s top retailers are increasingly adopting behavioural email in their online marketing efforts. Back in November 2010, an earlier study showed only 7% of e-retailers had implemented abandoned basket email - this has now doubled to 14%.

This significant jump demonstrates more and more brands are realising the huge conversion uplift possible from using abandoned basket email. However, despite the relatively simple setup process, a massive 86% are still not using email to capture otherwise lost sales.

This new research is unveiled in RedEye’s third Behavioural Email Benchmark Study. The study looks at the use of behavioural email by over 200 online companies (across e-retail, insurance and gambling). Data was collected June-July 2011, and compares research with results from RedEye’s previous Behavioural Email Benchmark Studies released in November 2010 and March 2011.

Now there are more companies than ever using behavioural email. Back in November, on average, 35% of all the companies monitored sent some form of behavioural email. Since March, this number has reached over 50%. The retail sector is catching up in their use of behavioural email. Back in November e-retailers were lagging behind with their use of behavioural email; on average only 29% used any type of behavioural email, but this has now increased to 46%.

Not following up on abandoned baskets, or any inactivity in the buying process, is a massive missed opportunity (worth £billions).

Matthew Kelleher, Commercial Director at RedEye explains: “Behavioural email has reached a turning point, finally in 2011 more companies are utilising it than aren’t. However, there are still a huge amount of missed opportunities for marketers, particularly when it comes to using abandoned basket email. A simple, automated abandoned basket trigger is easy to setup and can produce one of the best returns on investment – but 86% of companies are yet to start using it!”

Key Findings

• Generally the use of behavioural email is steadily increasing across all sectors (e-retail, insurance, gambling).

• Gambling companies seem to be implementing the majority of triggers, with an average 70% using behavioural email across the triggers monitored. Statistically e-retailers are next in line, with an average 46% of e-retailers using behavioural email. The insurance sector is now lagging behind with an average of just 34% implementing behavioural email.

• The number of behavioural email triggers implemented within the e-retail sector has increased across all emails monitored.

• The welcome email is the most commonly used email, implemented by 90% of gambling companies and 64% of e-retailers. However, 25% of e-retailers do not even offer pre-purchase registration, meaning a welcome email cannot be sent.

• Despite a slight increase in use since March 2011, abandoned basket email is still the least used behavioural email. This is unfortunate as, based on conversion, it can be viewed as the most successful email trigger used by retail clients.

• On average, retailers receive the highest CTR (Click-Through Rate) from using behavioural email.

• Based on conversion the single most successful behavioural email trigger implemented by RedEye clients is the abandoned basket email, this is followed by the saved quote follow up email used by insurance companies.

The study researched the online email processes of the likes of Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, Next.co.uk, Thomas Cook and Halfords
