Arizona’s International Sportsmen’s Expo coming to University of Phoenix Stadium to feature special guests author Hank Shaw and TV personality Lt. John Nores Jr.

The 12th annual Arizona International Sportsmen’s Exposition (ISE) arrives at the University of Phoenix Stadium, February 23-26th, 2012.

Glendale, AZ, February 07, 2012 - The 12th annual Arizona International Sportsmen’s Exposition (ISE) arrives at the University of Phoenix Stadium, February 23-26th, 2012.

This year, the ISE is proud to announce appearances by several celebrity guest speakers, including Lt. John Nores Jr., co-star of National Geographic TV’s Wild Justice, and Hank Shaw, author of Hunt, Gather, Cook.

More than 300 exhibiting companies will participate across the generous 160,000-square-foot space. Vendor booths include lodges and resorts, guides and outfitters, travel bureaus, manufacturers of outdoor products, outdoor-product retailers, boat and camping RV dealers, magazine and book publishers, websites, enthusiast clubs and groups, and nonprofit organizations representing a wide range of outdoor interests. ISE Phoenix also offers seminar theaters and interactive features such as DockDogs pond and contest, giant archery range and contest, huge casting pool, 40-ft.-long aquarium tank, two trophy displays, and a 8,000-sq.-ft. Youth Fair, hosted by Arizona Game and Fish Department. New special events include Boy Scouts camp, Arizona Deer Association auction and banquet, and Hunting the Rez Pavilion and auction.

Hank Shaw has captured a large and quickly growing fan base through his Honest-Food.net blog (nominated for a 2009 and 2010 James Beard award), and national book-release tour, which included local foraging followed by meal preparation in restaurants across America. Perhaps unique to the outdoor and, especially, hunting industry, Shaw has successfully connected with foodies and hardcore hunters, which shows the power of the appetites. At the ISE, Shaw will talk about how to prepare savory meals from game meat sourced from the farm or field. “Non-hunters who get whole animals are often at a loss about what to do with the less-glamorous cuts of the animal, so this presentation will definitely help with that.”

Lt. John Nores has also transcended his natural audience: hunters and anglers. A lifelong sportsman, Nores is featured on the acclaimed “Wild Justice” television show, which just began its second season on the National Geographic network. Nores is a California game warden who divides his time between rappelling out of helicopters, teaching young wardens the ropes, and traveling to western states to educate his colleagues and outdoor enthusiasts about illegal marijuana grows, a serious and expanding issue that Nores chronicled in his recent book, War in the Woods. Such grows destroy habitat, kill wildlife, pollute lands and waters, and endanger those who go outdoors--sometimes as close as the woods next door. Nores will speak at the ISE about close calls in the field and how hunters, anglers and campers can stay safe in the outdoors, even helping officers.

“The International Sportsmen’s Exposition is Arizona’s largest, most-diverse gathering of fishing, hunting and outdoor products and services all year,” said John Kirk, ISE’s Director of Communications. “With hundreds of exhibiting companies, free seminars throughout the day every day, free parking, giant Youth Fair plus free entry for youth under 16 and active military, the ISE is a tremendous family value.”

DETAILS: $15 adult admission, with discount coupons available on the show’s website. Hours: Thurs-Fri 10:00am – 6:00pm; Sat 10:00am – 6:00pm; Sun 10:00am – 5:00pm.

Kasasa Changes The Face of Local Banking in Faribault Minnesota

1st United Bank Introduces Kasasa, a Striking Alternative to the Megabank Rollercoaster

Faribault, MN, February 06, 2012 - 1st United Bank asks consumers, “Do you Kasasa?” as it becomes the third financial institution in Minnesota to launch the country’s most innovative financial products.

Kasasa® is a new brand of free checking and savings accounts that pays consumers to use their account with what interests them most—high interest or automatic savings. These accounts, combined with the personal service that only community financial institutions can deliver, are offering residents a better checking account option than the megabank experience.

“Consumers deserve to wake up to happier days of banking and leave behind the nightmare of megabank fees and mistreatment. We are pleased to offer these unique products,” said Gene Buhr, President at 1st United Bank. “Kasasa delivers what research shows people really want but believe they can’t have—great financial products with the personal service of a community based financial institution.”

1st United Bank is offering two Kasasa financial products, including Kasasa Cash® and Kasasa Saver®. All Kasasa products are free, reward-based accounts, with no minimum balance to get the rewards, no monthly service fees, online banking and nationwide ATM fee refunds.

* Kasasa Cash - A free checking account that pays high interest for every month the account holder qualifies.

* Kasasa Saver - A free, high interest saver account linked to a Kasasa Cash checking account. The interest and ATM fee refunds earned in the Kasasa Cash are automatically deposited into the Kasasa Saver account when the account holders qualify. The balance in the Kasasa Saver account also earns a high rate of interest.

To receive the Kasasa account benefits, each monthly qualification cycle account holders are asked to do a few simple things like, receive an eStatement, use a debit card a minimum number of times, and have an electronic transaction (such as direct deposit) post and clear their account. If an account holder does not meet the qualifications in a given month, 1st United Bank will alert the individual, who will be eligible the following month for the benefits.

“Extensive research has shown us that consumers would prefer to do business with community financial institutions, but feel they would lose access to products,” continued Buhr. “Kasasa is opening people’s eyes to a new banking model where no sacrifices are necessary. It’s a win-win because account holders get innovative products and personalized service.”

In 2009, Kasasa was piloted in six other markets across the U.S. In just the first two months of offering Kasasa, participating community financial institutions reported growth rates upwards of 150% on new account openings and 372% in deposits at institutions focused on deposit growth.

Kasasa is being introduced with an aggressive, highly engaging marketing campaign. It comes to life through a fresh mix of eye-popping advertising, the likes of which exceed the typical megabank’s high-budget programs. The ads feature America’s top slam poets www.kasasa.com/news-and-media/advertising riffing lyrical threads around the theme of “Do you Kasasa?”

Kasasa is distributed to 1st United Bank from BancVue, the leading provider of innovative products, dynamic marketing, and data-driven consulting solutions to community financial institutions nationwide to help them win the war against the megabanks.

For more information on Kasasa accounts, consumers can visit www.1stunited.com or www.kasasa.com/1stunited.

Do you Kasasa?
Kasasa® is the first national brand of the most innovative checking accounts available today. The accounts, offered exclusively by the finest community financial institutions, are designed to be the first and only accounts that actually take an interest in their account holders by paying them to use their account with what interests them most—high interest, cash back, automatic savings, money to donate to charity or iTunes® or Amazon.com downloads. Kasasa, developed and distributed by BancVue, marries innovative banking products with the personal touch of community financial institutions. For more information, visit www.kasasa.com.
