Luxury Travel, the leading Asian Specialist to showcase its Luxury Expertise and Responsible Tourism at WTM London 2013

Vietnam-based Luxury Travel is attending both WTM and ILTM to promote luxury travel products at World Travel Market London 2013 (WTM) from November 4 to 7.

Hanoi, Vietnam, October 31, 2013 - Vietnam-based Luxury Travel is attending both WTM and ILTM to promote luxury travel products at World Travel Market London 2013 (WTM) from November 4 to 7.

This year, Luxury Travel has expanded the size of its stand which will be located just in front of the Vietnam Tourism Board and Vietnam Airlines stand.

Luxury Travel is attending both WTM and A Taste of Luxury at ILTM, is an official supporter of World Responsible Day at WTM and has launched several new responsible tours.

According to Pham Ha, founder of Luxury Travel, the UK has been a great market for the company, whose products appeal to British tastes and preferences, particularly tailor-made tours and the two set departure tours on offer.

The company enjoyed over 200% growth from the UK in the first 9 month of 2013, compared with the same period last year, partly because of favourable exchange rates.

Luxury Travel Ltd. has increased the number of private small groups that it served, primarily with tailor-made holidays.

Luxury travel is not just about limos and five-star hotels, but creating memorable experiences and Luxury Travel ensure that its guests feel part of the place rather than a casual observer, the authentic experience being particularly popular with visitors from Britain.

Getting off-the-beaten track, relaxing on the beach at less visited places such as Con Dao and Phu Quoc as well as combining Vietnam with visits to Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar are great favourites with the UK market.

Vietnam is appealing to British visitors because of its safety, affordable prices, authenticity, lovely weather and convenient direct flights with Vietnam Airlines.

The past few years have seen the completion of many luxurious resorts such as Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, Intercontinental Peninsula Danang Sun Spa and Six Senses Con Dao and the increased choice and deluxe brands have proved a great hit with the British.

Mr Pham Ha, Mr Richard Parks and Ms Anita Sach, Luxury Travel's reps in the UK, will be attending both ITLM and WTM 2013; travel trade professionals wanting to learn more about the company, learn how to sell Indochina to the most sophisticated travellers or discuss a fam trip, can book an appointment in advance with them at phamha@luxurytravels.asia or drop by stand AS587.

London, UK, October 30, 2013 - Celebrating 100 years of Bollywood, Conferro Auctions is hosting a special preview of its upcoming inaugural auction of Vintage Bollywood Memorabilia on 14 – 15 November at the Westbury Gallery, Westbury Hotel, Mayfair, W1.

The auction features collectables such as LPs, film banners and Bollywood posters from some of the milestones of Indian film history, including Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and Sholay (1975), which were recently voted the top two greatest Bollywood films of all time.

The 150 lots include vintage LPs, banners, synopses, posters, lobby cards and gramophones from the last 100 years of Bollywood history, which will be auctioned on 29 November.

Bollywood has become one of the world’s largest film industries since the debut of its first official film on 3 May 1913, Raja Harishchandra by Dadasaheb Phalke. Producing some 1,000 films a year (twice the annual output of Hollywood), the stars of its silver screen are known the world over.

As reported by The Telegraph, the UK is home to the largest audience for Bollywood films outside of India, contributing 15-20 per cent of the industry’s profits.

Says Conferro’s Director Sharan Seth, “With Bollywood such an ingrained part of our cultural identity and the timely centenary of Bollywood film, our first auction reflects India’s rich and vibrant history and artistic practices”.

Dr Anna Morcom, Senior Lecturer at Royal Holloway University adds, “Since the 1990s, Bollywood has gone global on a new level, embraced enthusiastically by the Indian diaspora and through them, has gained a presence in the mainstream of US and UK culture”.

SAFE International Launches New Montreal Self Defense Website – Montreal, QC Self Defense

SAFE International is launching its newly updated website for Montreal Women’s Self Defense as well as their other course offerings.

Montreal, QC, October 30, 2013 - (Straight Line PR) - Montreal Self Defense, SAFE International Launches New Montreal Women’s Self Defense Website.

SAFE International ™ is the leading provider of mobile women’s self defense training in Canada. SAFE International has taught more than 175,000 women since 1994. SAFE International is launching its newly updated website for Montreal Women’s Self Defense as well as their other course offerings.

Among the SAFE International course offerings you will find on the new website are:
SAFE International Montreal Women Self Defense Parties. Forget Tupperware Parties. Invite 6 to 8 of your friends for a few hours of fun, education and potentially life-saving instruction with one of their SAFE Women’s Self Defense Parties. Plan a meal, snacks, or dessert, and be prepared for a unique self defense experience! What has made them so popular is their unique method of teaching with humour and sharing of anecdotes. Get to experience the simulated attacks in scenario specific situations such as at the front door, the kitchen, the car, etc.

SAFE International Montreal Self Defense for high school students. SAFE International has become Canada’s most popular high school course for both boys and girls due to the fact that they are not teaching martial arts, but rather a practical approach to personal safety with an emphasis on detecting and defusing potentially dangerous situations. All of our instructors are certified through SAFE International and have a unique ability to reach the students in an effective and memorable manner. SAFE International teaches approximately 13,000 students each year with a heavy presence teaching self defense in Montreal, QC.

SAFE International offers Montreal Corporate Self Defense Courses. This self-protection seminar will provide employees with tips and strategies to recognize and avoid personal security risks while on the job. Through the teaching of both verbal and non-verbal techniques, the participants will learn how to take common sense measures to reduce the risk of being a victim. The knowledge they gain from the seminar can be applied to all aspects of their profession – sales, interacting with customers, travel, and other work related transactions. There are many instances when one might find themself in an uncomfortable and potentially threatening situation – entertaining clients, traveling, leaving late at night by car, taxi, public transport, walking, etc.

Montreal Self Defense for men is another course offering you will find on the new SAFE International website. Learn how to identify the most vulnerable areas of the body, and how to strike them in a quick, non-telegraphed manner. SAFE International instructors cover many devastating strikes such as eye rakes, palm strikes, elbows, knees, kicks plus how to attack other vulnerable areas of the body. A very popular concept taught at any Ottawa Self Defense course is, “The Shredder”, which can be best described as an extremely effective Close Quarter Concept that can be utilized in a wide range of low to potentially high level violent scenarios. The Shredder targets the most vulnerable areas of the attacker without having to memorize countless “techniques”. Another major benefit of the Shredder is that it does not require years to learn.  It is a concept of self defense that immediately disrupts the attacker’s ability to continue their attack, and allows the tables to be turned quickly and effectively in the victims favour.
