Sweet Alexis & Lucky Kat TV team up to Showcase Tips and Advice on the Web for Parents Coping with Children’s Food Allergies

Lucky Kat TV will partner with Michele Fellows, owner of Sweet Alexis Bakery, to deliver tips, information and advice on Lucky Kat TV’s blog

Los Angeles, CA, March 09, 2012 - Lucky Kat TV will partner with Michele Fellows, owner of Sweet Alexis Bakery, to deliver tips, information and advice on Lucky Kat TV’s blog, ( ) empowering and connecting parents coping with food allergies in some 3 million children across the United States.

According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN):

* Food allergies are on the rise; more than 12 million Americans have food allergies. That’s one in 25, or 4 percent of the population.

* Eight foods account for 90 percent of all food-allergic reactions in the U.S.: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish, and shellfish.

* Peanut allergies doubled in children over a five-year period (1997-2002), and food allergies are present the most in young children – one in 17 among those under age 3.

Sweet Alexis, located in Los Osos, California, serves up fresh, homemade cookies, breads, cakes and muffins free of wheat, dairy, tree-nuts and eggs and their derivatives. Fellows named the business for her now 10 years old daughter, Alexis, who suffers from life-threatening food allergies and asthma.

“We have to be vigilant 24/7 to keep Alexis safe. Even casual contact with an allergen could send her into anaphylactic shock. I opened Sweet Alexis to offer her, and other families, delicious, attractive treats they could pack in lunches and bring to parties,” said Fellows.

“We’re really excited to welcome Michele to our team. She’s turned her passion for creating allergen-free treats into a thriving business, and also created a platform for increased awareness in her community. As a guest blogger on our website, she’ll serve up tips, information, recipes, and of course, a bit of fun for parents coping with food allergies both mild and severe,” said Tammy Schroeder, President at LKTV Productions.

Lucky Kat, an “edutainment” website, offers a safe, secure place for children ages 5 – 10 to learn, play, and create video content to share. During their journey through Katalina Island, children board a cruise ship and navigate the continents, earning points to build their own islands and add the amenities of their choice. Many of the games meet with National Academic Standards. The theme, “Believe in Your Dreams ... Anything is Possible!” is introduced through Lucky Kat's 4 Steps to Success: 1. Dream It! 2. Believe It! 3. Plan It 4. Do It!

In 2012 Lucky Kat earned a coveted seal of endorsement from Parent Tested, Parent Approved (PTPA). Visit

Track your workouts with GymForge: Track. Succeed. Share

The GymForge workout app for iPhone and iPod touch supports you with a bunch of preloaded home and gym workouts

Wien, Austria, March 09, 2012 - The GymForge workout app for iPhone and iPod touch supports you with a bunch of preloaded home and gym workouts, a freestyle workout mode and easy to use tracking capabilities. It comes with a detailed history of previous workouts, comprehensive editing options and, of course, GymForge lets you share your workout on Facebook.

GymForge version 1.0 is now available for iPhone and iPod touch devices. There are rumors about a version for Android devices but as of now there are no more dates or details available.

The versioning of the app seems to be worth mentioning as the app has a solid feature set, a really sleek design, and, most important, it really focuses on ease of use. Download, install, and you are ready to go. No need to setup the app and your workout routine upfront. We like that!

The price is another attractive attribute. There are many apps that come in a lite version with a reduced set of functionality. The GymForge app comes for free and with the full range of features. Even better: The app will remain free according to the team GymForge.

Talking about the functional range, we want to outline the feature highlights:

Preloaded Workouts: A library of workouts that actually say what part of your body is going to be trained.

FreeStyle Mode: Pick a muscle group you want to focus on and get a list of related exercises. Pick and go. Tracking starts immediately.

Growing Exercise Library: The current library covers about 140 exercises with a text and image based how to. The list will be updated frequently.

Easy Tracking: Tracking is as easy and fast as it is with paper and pen.

Sharing & Customization: You want to brag about your workout. Share it on Facebook and add a comment, which will be stored with your session in the app.

Sexy & Easy to Use: Attractive graphical design and outstanding interaction design make it fun to use.

The team behind the app is currently working on backend updates in order to push content updates more frequently to the app users. That means more free workouts and exercises. The team is already working with other educated sportsmen on new exercises and workouts.

Furthermore, the app itself will experience some updates and enhancements such as exporting & enhanced social features, data visualization et cetera.
