A leading producer of parent rolls for the Away-From-Home (AFH) towel market, Gorham Paper and Tissue announces an investment which allows customers to purchase towel rolls in multiple core sizes.

Gorham, New Hampshire, October 22, 2013 – A leading producer of parent rolls for the Away-From-Home (AFH) towel market, Gorham Paper and Tissue announces an investment which allows customers to purchase towel rolls in multiple core sizes. This is to provide smaller core sizes which meet increasing market demand for the product.

“We are a significant player in the AFH towel market known for high quality towel papers, responsive services and a willingness to innovate,” explained Brian McAlary, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Gorham Paper and Tissue. “Over the past two years, key converters have been asking us to offer smaller core size so they can use our product. Added converting capability allows us to meet their needs and serve as an additional source of supply.”

The availability of 3”, 5”, 6” and 8”cores expands the company’s diverse portfolio of premium and standard towel papers. Towel options include high-bright, kraft, low stretch, high tensile, DRC (double reverse crepe), anti-microbial properties, color, recycled content and chain-of-custody fiber certification (SFI, FSC and PEFC).

McAlary added, “This is a win-win for everyone. Converters who value working with a small, nimble specialty mill like Gorham can now utilize our towel products in their operations while we increase market presence by satisfying a broader array of customers.“

Gorham products are used for a variety of applications including away-from-home towel, industrial towel and wipes, napkins and medical products like exam table barrier.

The knowledge they gain from the seminar can be applied to all aspects of their profession – sales, interacting with customers, travel, and other work related transactions. There are many instances when one might find themself in an uncomfortable and potentially threatening situation – entertaining clients, traveling, leaving late at night by car, taxi, public transport, walking, etc.

Mississauga Self Defense for men is another course offering you will find on the new SAFE International website. Learn how to identify the most vulnerable areas of the body, and how to strike them in a quick, non-telegraphed manner. SAFE International instructors cover many devastating strikes such as eye rakes, palm strikes, elbows, knees, kicks plus how to attack other vulnerable areas of the body. A very popular concept taught at any Ottawa Self Defense course is, “The Shredder”, which can be best described as an extremely effective Close Quarter Concept that can be utilized in a wide range of low to potentially high level violent scenarios. The Shredder targets the most vulnerable areas of the attacker without having to memorize countless “techniques”. Another major benefit of the Shredder is that it does not require years to learn. It is a concept of self defense that immediately disrupts the attacker’s ability to continue their attack, and allows the tables to be turned quickly and effectively in the victims favour.

Diva De Lai Reveal New Innovative Bob Dylan Tribute Rock Opera Album, Dylan at the Opera To Be Released October 22nd, 2013

Listen to Single Señor (Tales of Yankee Power) on Soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/divadelai/se-or-tales-of-yankee-power)

Hollywood, CA, October 22, 2013 - Diva de Lai is coming on to the new music scene as an innovative band that is looking to mix two unique styles, Rock and Opera. Dylan at the Opera is a concept album composed of original Bob Dylan songs rearranged in different rock styles with operatic vocals and represents their latest release.

Yuval Nachtom, drummer and founder of Diva de Lai, created the concept and vision for the unique sound. Together with guitarist Eyal Sucher, who arranged the album, worked as a team on the music production.

A well-rounded band, Diva de Lai is comprised of Yuval Nachtom who also holds a PhD in economics, Grammy-nominated bassist and producer Yossi Fine, Eyal Sucher, who holds a Masters degree in music, specializing in orchestra conducting, plays guitar and keyboard with mezzo-soprano and leading classical singer, Karin Shifrin as their front-woman.

Señor (Tales of Yankee Power), the first single, was written by Dylan in the 1970’s and is a dark and depressing song that at the time was not understood. Though the original is simple, the lyric-heavy folk song was perfectly translated into a dramatic rock, opera sound that Shifrin captures in the cover.

With her powerful delivery throughout the song, Shifrin executes the song’s messages on point. “Señor is about lack of hope, the rule of a tyrant, cruelty, lost love and maybe looking for an answer in a heavenly entity,” Nachtom states.

“If we imagine that Señor is the name or nick name of a woman, then one can see here a dirge for a lost love - for a woman who walked away. The color of the lyrics and the melody present a challenge and are a natural basis for hard-core opera.”

Dylan at the Opera is set to be released on October 22nd with 12 tracks to look forward to. Diva de Lai kept the classic Bob Dylan while providing their own creative spin to an original concept album.
