Home Prices in 17 States to Rise

Selected housing markets in 17 states are forecast to see home prices go higher in 2011, according to Housing Predictor analysts.

Destin, FL, February 03, 2011 -- Selected housing markets in 17 states are forecast to see home prices go higher in 2011, according to Housing Predictor analysts. The forecasts are being issued as part of the more than 230 local housing market projections made by forecasters for the real estate research firm.

The markets that are forecast to experience higher home prices are concentrated in the Mid-West, North-Eastern and Southern regions of the country, which sustained less pricing volatility as a result of the real estate crash.

North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana are predicted to have rising home values throughout the year. While near record low mortgage rates and other factors should boost prices in many markets in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Texas and Louisiana especially when springtime weather rolls around among other states.
