Brac Systems Inc. (BAAC - OPEN MARKET - Frankfurt Stock Exchange) today announced the sale of a commercial greywater recycling system to the New Cassel Community Center, New York, U.S.A.

Montreal, Quebec, August 17, 2011 - Brac Systems Inc. (BAAC - OPEN MARKET - Frankfurt Stock Exchange) today announced the sale of a commercial greywater recycling system to the New Cassel Community Center, New York, U.S.A.

The New Cassel Community Center, currently under construction is located in North Hempstead, New York, one of the United States' first suburbs. The area is on the final stages of a $60 million revitalization project in which the new $24.5 million community center will be the neighbourhood's focal point. The Brac Systems Inc. commercial greywater recycling system will be installed in the new 50,000 square foot building which will incorporate two regulation size basketball courts, television studio, recording studio, stage for theatrical productions, Internet cafe, meeting rooms, social event hall, fitness center and administrative offices.

The community center, in planning for several years, has only recently become a reality and is expected to be complete in May 2012. A number of modifications to the greywater recycling system were required to meet the buildings specifications. "This is an interesting custom commercial system which will incorporate our greywater recycling duplex pump station integrated with the buildings own swallow well pumping system." said Emmanuel Brien, Technical Director of Brac Systems Inc. "It demonstrates the versatility of our systems and the possibilities they provide to be configured to suit a multitude of diverse project applications." continued Mr. Brien.

Brac Systems Inc. would like to express gratitude to Steven Schaeperkoetter, Senior Project Manager of Cameron Engineering & Associates., a strong advocate of water conservation, who was instrumental in acquiring approval for the installation of greywater recycling systems in the state of New York. The Brac Systems team and Mr. Schaeperkoetter have worked closely together to bring the various elements of this project to fruition. “Since the initial contact with Brac Systems over two years ago, the company have provided continued support for the community center development which has required adaptation of their greywater recycling system for integration into the building’s design specifications.” explained Mr. Schaeperkoetter.

One of the major driving forces behind the design of the New Cassel Community Center was to increase energy efficiency of the building while reducing its overall environmental impact. The community center is expected to receive a Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) Platinum certification after construction is complete. The LEED certification is an important international benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings in which Brac Systems Inc.'s products are continually chosen. The New Cassel Community Center will be one of the first LEED Platinum rated community centers in North America and a significant achievement for all those involved.

The funding for this project has been the result of public and private sector cooperation in which Brac Systems Inc. reputation for supplying advanced greywater recycling systems is both recognized and respected as an environmentally responsible approach to water conservation.
