New Delhi, Delhi, September 22, 2011 - New building technology created by International Steel Structures(ISS), is ready to help reduce India's housing shortage by being able to provide housing units with structural integrity in a matter of days from production. This will reduce the massive housing shortage in the country in an effective and efficient way. Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Minister Kumari Selja stated in a past interview that a major thrust was necessary in physical, financial, and human infrastructure in cities and in governance and technical capabilities to promote holistic and inclusive growth of urban areas.
Global Housing Alliance(GHA), the company in charge of licensing of the ISS building technology in India, feels the government of India's vision of creating a slum-free country, has become closer to reality with this technology. "The government of India has made their vision very clear in regards to addressing the housing shortage, and we believe that with this new building technology created by ISS, will be that major thrust Minister Selja was speaking of," stated Cedric D. Griffin, Managing Member of GHA.
GHA stated that with the patented ISS technology, the five main benefits are: 1. strength in design, 2. functionality, 3. precision engineering, 4. flexibility, 5. curvelinear design. "Once developers and contractors become aware of this offering, the excitement will be contagious,eradicating lot of past challenges in mass building," said Griffin. "The economic viability and reward with this technology, makes it even more attractive to developers and contractors."
The developers announced by GHA that they are targeting to offer territorial rights in the use of the technology are HDIL, Ackruti City, Anant Raj, Lodha Group, DLF Limited, Sunteck Realty, DB Realty, RKW Developers, K.Raheja Corp., Oberoi Realty, Unitech, and Kalpataru Group.
Griffin said, "We will give the announced developers the first opportunities for the licensing of the initial 15 selected regions. I am most certain they will be just as excited as we are when they gather the facts of the incredible opportunity we are presenting them with."
The 15 regions announced by GHA will be Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmadabad, Kanpur, Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Dhanbad, and Indore.
