Wien, Austria, March 09, 2012 - The GymForge workout app for iPhone and iPod touch supports you with a bunch of preloaded home and gym workouts, a freestyle workout mode and easy to use tracking capabilities. It comes with a detailed history of previous workouts, comprehensive editing options and, of course, GymForge lets you share your workout on Facebook.

GymForge version 1.0 is now available for iPhone and iPod touch devices. There are rumors about a version for Android devices but as of now there are no more dates or details available.

The versioning of the app seems to be worth mentioning as the app has a solid feature set, a really sleek design, and, most important, it really focuses on ease of use. Download, install, and you are ready to go. No need to setup the app and your workout routine upfront. We like that!

The price is another attractive attribute. There are many apps that come in a lite version with a reduced set of functionality. The GymForge app comes for free and with the full range of features. Even better: The app will remain free according to the team GymForge.

Talking about the functional range, we want to outline the feature highlights:

Preloaded Workouts: A library of workouts that actually say what part of your body is going to be trained.

FreeStyle Mode: Pick a muscle group you want to focus on and get a list of related exercises. Pick and go. Tracking starts immediately.

Growing Exercise Library: The current library covers about 140 exercises with a text and image based how to. The list will be updated frequently.

Easy Tracking: Tracking is as easy and fast as it is with paper and pen.

Sharing & Customization: You want to brag about your workout. Share it on Facebook and add a comment, which will be stored with your session in the app.

Sexy & Easy to Use: Attractive graphical design and outstanding interaction design make it fun to use.

The team behind the app is currently working on backend updates in order to push content updates more frequently to the app users. That means more free workouts and exercises. The team is already working with other educated sportsmen on new exercises and workouts.

Furthermore, the app itself will experience some updates and enhancements such as exporting & enhanced social features, data visualization et cetera.
