New York, NY, October 24, 2013 – Renowned jewelry designer, Kevia Jeffrey-West, has become widely recognized for her unique interpretation of jewels inspired by her travels abroad, the power of history and the subtle magnetism of nature. Channeling her inspirations, Kevia creates contemporary jewelry that is not only beautiful but sustainable as well. Her newest collection consists entirely of recycled metal findings, natural semi-precious gemstones, reclaimed wood and sustainably harvested horn, which is biodegradable. In an effort to preserve the magnificence of the great outdoors, from which she draws so many of her creative visions, Kevia takes the vow to be environmentally conscious one step further, giving back to both the earth and the community through various philanthropic initiatives.
With the purchase of each horn piece from the brand’s Nouveau Collection, a tree is planted in the US, having contributed to the planting of over 1,300 new trees to date across both urban and wilderness areas. Kevia also donates a portion of the proceeds from the newly introduced endangered species inspired collection to a variety of Nature Conservation efforts. In hopes of continuing to make a positive impact on the environment, increasing design capacity and implementing a new e-commerce marketing plan, Kevia has entered the Mission Main Street? Grants competition. Loyal customers and retailers alike look forward to a multitude of new collections from the beloved line each year, encouraging Jeffrey-West to take advantage of rare opportunities that will allow for a breadth of growth, development and expansion in her category.
Mission Main Street? Grants is an effort by JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association ("Chase") to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities and to help small businesses grow. The twelve grant winners will be awarded $250,000 each to allocate into their businesses as they see fit. The winners will be decided upon by a panel deliberation; however, in order to be presented to the panel participants will need 250 consumer votes by November 15th. As this is a once in a lifetime opportunity the Kevia team would greatly appreciate your support, vote Kevia on https://www.missionmainstreetgrants.com/business/detail/47934
