Online Gaming and Entertainment Company Eyes off Indian Growth Market

Listed online gaming and entertainment company 2UP Gaming PLC (2GM:GR) are seeking to secure partnership deals with leaders in the Indian gaming industry to further globalise their gaming products.

London, UK, August 04, 2011 - Company executives will be travelling to the south Asian sub-continent next month to speak with a number of potential partners to gain access to one of the world’s fastest growing markets.

A recent Media & Entertainment Consulting Network (MECN) Online Gambling Trends report identified India and Asia as the regions to watch for fast growth in their markets, including a surge of online gambling in India.

According to the report the betting market in India has witnessed exponential growth from an estimated US$60 billion in 2009.

Current research shows that usage of the internet in India has grown 20 times larger in the past five years.

2UP recently finalised deals with Asian pool betting giant ToteDaddy for the launch of their gaming products on ToteDaddy’s website, and are now looking at Indian online gaming as their next market to target.

Managing director Peter Bentley says forming relationships with gaming industry leaders such as India will allow for 2UP’s range of popular gaming and wagering products to be made available to a broader market.

“Creating a partnership with Indian gaming leaders will further encourage a strong base for worldwide membership, providing 2UP with immediate high-traffic exposure to the global online gaming market,” Mr Bentley says.

“Online gambling participant numbers are rapidly increasing and we plan for 2UP to develop a high status in the online gaming arena on an international level.

“India is the largest region with the biggest growth potential for online gambling and it will be exciting to get amongst this increasingly popular market.”

Mr Bentley says the gaming market in India is successfully establishing itself on the international online gaming stage.

“As a result of the rapid increase of internet access and usage in the region, the online gaming market in India increasing exponentially,” Mr Bentley says.

“India’s gaming industry is booming with a base of over 100 million internet users and 41 percent of them regularly accessing gambling websites.

“With their broadband technology still behind the rest of the world, it allows for the industry to increase even more as their access improves.”

The core focus of 2UP is the coin toss game, a game that is played in most countries around the world where players make a call on whether two coins being tossed in the air will fall as two tails or two heads. A correct call wins.

This will be underpinned by other unique and established gaming and wagering options to be released as part of its growth plans.
